Claire stared down at the 4 positive pregnancy tests and almost cried. She knew exactly who the father was. The only problem was she hadn't seen him for a whole month. She didn't want to tell her brother before Leon. She knew he deserved to know no matter what he wanted. She knew she was going to keep it as she'd always loved the idea of being a mother.
She arranged with her work to work remotely for the next few years. Still hearing nothing from Leon 2 months after their last night together. She decided to go visit his office. She was stopped at the entrance and asked if Leon was in. They told her he was and to wait until his lunch break at 1.
Leon was surprised to see her. "Claire?"
"Leon! I've been calling you! Why aren't you answering!? It's important!"
"Sorry, I got a new number, my persomal phone got destroyed."
"Well, look, let's talk about this over lunch."

They went to a nearby cafe and ordered their food. Claire ordered a lot more than usual.

Leon chuckled "you hungry?"
"Yeah, I am," Claire said with a smile.
Leon smirked "alright so what did you wanna talk about?"
"I wanted to ask you something important," Claire said, looking down at the table.
Leon leaned forward, his eyes fixed on Claire's face. "What is it?" he asked.
Claire took a deep breath. "Chris wants to start a family of his own. I'm scared I won't be a good aunt."
Leon smirked "Claire you'd be a great aunt. I never thought Chris would wanna start a family. "
"Well what about you Leon? Would you?"
Leon took a moment to think before answering. "I don't know, Claire. With my job I don't know if that's even possible. "
Claire looked at him with concern. "You've never thought about it?"
Leon shook his head. "No, not really. I never thought about having kids before. It's not something that's crossed my mind."
Claire nodded, understanding.
"Back when I was in college I guess I did." Leon admitted. "But I think I'm not exactly dad material anymore."
Claire nodded and put on a fake smile. "Well I've always wanted to be a mum."
Leon looked at her with a mix of surprise and amusement. "Really? You never told me that before."
Claire shrugged.
"You'd be a great mum. You're great with kids, look at Sherry."
Claire smiled for real. "Thanks..."
Leon nodded. Their food arrived and they both started eating.
As they ate, Claire couldn't help but think about her secret. Claire took a deep breath.
Leon looked at her.
Claire sighed and thought fuck it. "Leon, I want you to know. I'm pregnant and it's yours."
Leon's eyes widened in shock and he stopped eating.
"Claire, are you sure? I mean, that I'm..."
Leon trailed off, looking down at the table. "I'm not sure what to say," he said quietly.
Claire reached across the table and took his hand. "Leon please say something. " he could feel her hand shaking.
He looked into her eyes which were full of tears.
"Claire"
He said softly trying to stop her tears.
"I'm so sorry Leon..." She whispered just loud enough for him to hear.
Leon looked at Claire, his eyes filled with emotion. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He had never thought he would be a father but he didn't blame her. "Claire you have nothing to be sorry for. "
He got up and walked over to her side kissing her forehead and hugging her drawing attention from the teenagers in another seat.
"I'm so happy for you, Claire. I'm not sure how good of a father I can be but, I'll support you." He whispered into her ear.
Claire smiled through her tears and hugged him back.
"You're beautiful Claire. " he whispered into her ear. "Our baby will be so loved."
Claire cried with happiness. "I love you Leon."
"I love you Claire."
Leon held her close, feeling the warmth of her body against his. He knew that he would do anything for her and the baby they were about to have.
