Severus Snape, Potions professor at Hogwarts, widowed husband of Lolly Black and the father o- oh you don't know that Severus Snape had a wife? Well Severus did what he wanted then. Well Severus has no control over me so i'm going to tell you. It all started in Severus's 5th year in May 1976…..

"You both need to clean this cauldron top to toe. They all need to be sparkling by the time the detention is complete. Or you will get another detention. If something happens, you will get another detention. If you fight, you'll get another detention. Do you understand stand?"
Down in the Dungeons of Hogwarts, in the smelly potions classroom, were two students and a professor. The students were sat at two different desks with the professor in front of them. The students were both males.
The student on the right had elegant long black hair that was tied into a manbun (held together by his wand). The man was wearing a white button up that was only halfway buttoned, showing off some of the tattoos on his chest and ripped black jeans. On the back was his chair, was a leather jacket he had been forced to take off. The student also had some tattoos on his arm. On his chest were different wizarding symbols, the same symbols that were on his wand. Just poking out from the life side of the shirt was a wolf and a big dog howling at the moon. On his right arm was a magical tattoo. It was a moon that changed with the moon cycle. Right now the tattoo was a full moon as tonight was going to be a full moon. This student was Sirius Orion Black, the disappointment and heir of the black family (he was only the heir cause Thomas got disowned for marrying a non pureblood).
The student on the left had greasy black hair that went down to his shoulders and a big ugly noise. This student was wearing a black button up shirt and black trousers but over all his he was wearing a black cape/robe like thing that covered his whole body. This student was Severus Tobias Snape, the half blood Prince.
"Now I need to go short something out in the slytherin common room. I'll be back soon. I'll know if anything happens so behave" and with that Professor walked out of the room.
Severus started cleaning the cauldron's straight away whereas Sirius just sat there glaring at Severus and muttering things. "Stupid Evans. Giving me detention with Snivilious on the full moon. Slithering Snivilious with hideous noise. It's all his fault. He shouldn't have been talking to my sister." Severus snaped his head round to him "i can hear you know and for your information Lolly was talking to me while I was trying to get rid of her. Stupid girl has a crush on me". Sirius laughed "likely story Snivilious". Severus grips tightly on his wand "don't call me that" but Sirius finally started cleaning before he continued to mutter to himself "why with stupid slytherin Snivilious. I should be down at the shrieking shack with Remus not here" Severus raises an eyebrow "what are you hiding Black?" Sirius pulls his wand out of his hair, making his hair fall out of the man bun. "Oh nothing. I'm just saying how you are so much of a scaredy cat you got us in a detention so you wouldn't be alone near the shrinking shake on a full moon."
"I'm not a scaredy cat"
"Yes you are. You wouldn't be here in Detention if you wasn't scared"
"I'm not scared of being near the shrinking shack on the full moon"
"Then prove it greasy bat"
"I will prove it"
As Severus got up and stormed out of the classroom, Sirius burst out laughing.
The rest of the night went like a blur. All Severus remembered was:
- Going to the shrinking shake
- Remus lupin
- A werewolf howl
- A scream
- Darkness
Severus could hear voices around him. He felt soft silk underneath him and the pressure of a blanket on top of him. He felt a hand rub his hand. Severus was about to pull his hand away when he decided to pretend to be asleep to listen to the voices.
"Do you think he knows Albus"
"Well…"
"Albus. He can't tell anyone Lupin is a werewolf. Remus would be put in azkaban for this because of the stupid prank Black pulled."
"I know. I'll make sure he doesn't tell anyone"
"Good. Now i'm going to go punish black"
The noise of footsteps were heard. Severus fluttered his eyes open, thinking he was alone, but he forgot about one thing. The hand holding his hand. "Stupid Black. I have to get back to him for that! That monster could have killed me. How do i get back him?"
A yawn could be heard next to him. That's when he noticed her. A girl was sitting next to his bed, holding his hand and was fast asleep resting her head on the bed. The girl had dark brown hair in a side pony and round glasses. The girl was wearing a normal girls gryffindor uniform. Severus scoffed before pausing then smirking. He slowly shaked the girl awake. She muddled something before sitting up and rubbing her eyes. "Yes sev?... SEV YOUR AWAKE. OH MERLIN YOUR AWAKE. ARE YOU OK? I'M SORRY ABOUT WHAT MY BROTHER DID. ARE YOU OK?" Severus winced at the loud voice before nodding "I'm fine, lolly…. Did you stay with me all night?" Lolly smiled and nodded so Severus asked "Why?" Lolly looked down blushing "because I love you Severus Snape". Severus tried not to gag as he pulled Lolly's face up and kissed her before lying "i love you to Lolly Black"
And that's how it happened. That's how the Heiress of the noble and ancient house of black got with the Half-blood known as Severus Snape. Lolly loved Severus with all her heart but Severus hated her and only got with her to annoy Sirius Black, her older brother.
Over the next few months (Aka the rest of the school year) Severus, no matter how much he hated it, took Lolly everywhere with him and acted like they were a couple. He let Lolly show him all her love. They had several hogsmeade dates and Severus always made sure Sirius saw. But Sirius being Sirius, he didn't realise they were dating until the last of the school year when Lolly was helping him pack and Lolly said she was going to miss her boyfriend. Sirius went protective big brother mode and it took the whole of the marauders, Regulus and Mcgonagall to get him off Severus. While Severus just laughed.
"HOW DARE YOU DATE MY FUCKING SISTER?!"
Over the summer of 1976, horrible things happened to the black family and Severus only knew because of the letter he received from Lolly one dreadful morning after a night full of physical punishments.

Mummy ( that was crossed out and replaced with) Mother has disowned Sirius. So Regulus is now the heir to the Noble and most ancient house of Black and i'm not allowed to acknowledge Sirius or Thomas as my brother's anymore. Oh it was horrible Sev. Mother, Father and Sirius were arguing about something. I think they mentioned a dark lord and a mark. I don't know but they were arguing then i heard mother shout something and Sirius's awful scream fulled the house again. Then i heard more shouting and screaming. Then the door went and i smelt burning. Then mother told me Sirius is no longer a black and that Regulus is the hair now but then Regulus, mother and father disappeared for the rest of the night. I'm scared Sevvy. I don't want to be disowned. Mother increassed my pureblood lessons and how to be a perfect pureblood heiress. And she's started looking for a husband for me. I don't want a stranger. I want to be your wife. I can't wait to see you in September

Severus had quickly hid the letter from his muggle father but he planned to use this information against Sirius. He was going to break up with Lolly this year but he had a plan now. He was going to use Lolly to get information on Sirius.
Well that was the original plan. But plans change.
As the school year (September 1976 - June 1977) went on, Lolly and Severus went on more and more dates. The dates started off as a way for Severus to annoy Sirius and get information. But as the year went on, Lolly and Severus got to know each other better and they became close. Severus began not to hate Lolly. In fact, Severus and lolly became great friends even though they were technically dating and lolly was in love with Severus. But what made them even closer was the incident.
Late may 1976 something horrible happened. Lolly and Severus were just having a picnic in the courtyard by the bog willow tree when Sirius, James Potter (a raven haired boy in glasses) and Peter Pettigrew (a plus size, dirty blonde haired boy) came over. Remus (a tall brown haired boy coloured in scares) was just sat on a bench nearby, reading, instead of being with his friends "Oy snivellus stop being a creep and leave my sister alone!" Sirius yelled. "Why are you bloody Marauders getting in MY business keep your broom out of it! Come on Lolly lets go'' Severus starts to walk off as Lolly gets up but James stops him. " Not a chance. What are you doing? Teaching Sirius's innocent sister what ever you have in that book of yours?" Severus stops and glares at him "What are you going to do Potter you can't do anything to me I don't care anymore!" Sirius starts to mock Snape with James. Lolly begs her brother to stop but he ignores her "Ooh look who thinks they are all big now. Okay then why don't you… pick on someone your own size." Lolly pulls on Sirius's arm "Sirius stop, please". Severus smirks "See, even the woman thinks you aren't powerful enough.".
Suddenly Sirius casted a spell and hung Severus upside down "Oh look Snivellus is defenceless'' Sirius and James burst out laughing. Snape is trying to break free as Sirius and James laugh at him and taunt him. Lolly's eyes filled with tears as she begged them to stop but Sirius and James ignored her. "Hey Pads, How about we take off Snivelluses trousers eh?" Sirius and James are laughing at the front as they taunght him whilst Snape is pleading to be let down. Lolly continues to cry and beg them to stop.
Lily comes running towards them. "What is wrong with all of you? I told you to stop messing with him and you… you promised me it will stop. Why can't you just leave him alone. Put him down then or I WILL jinx the whole lot of you!" James slowly lets Severus down. Lily tries to help him up but Severus gets up and pushes her out of the way "don't need YOUR help you FILTHY MUDBLOOD!" He says trying to stay cold and not show emotions in front of the bullies. Everyone goes quiet in shock and you can see the shock on everyone's face. Lily looks like she is about to cry and all the marauders look like they are going to kill him.
"After everything… AFTER EVERYTHING! I stuck up for you when no one else would! I have done nothing but be your friend and you call me- THAT! You are just like them all. A no good death eater ! I really thought you weren't… I really did. Don't come near me again." Lily walks off. Thinking she was far enough away James turns around to attack Severus but Lilly hears him and yells "You have some nerve Potter! YOU HAVE NOT CHANGED DESPITE SAYING YOU WOULD!" Remus quickly runs after her. Sirius turns to the crying lolly "break up with the slimy git" he says before storming off with the rest of the marauders following. Severus sits down by a tree looking distraught. Lolly sits next to him and checks that he is ok.
After that, Lolly and Severus became closer than ever. Nothing could split them up. Severus became protective of Lolly. He didn't let Lolly leave his side even if he only saw Lolly as a friend.
Well that's what he thought.
As the school year ended, the summer happened and the new school year started. Severus went into his 7th year and Lolly went into her 6th year. Severus was protective once again. He was glued to Lolly's side. He was so protective of her. So it was no surprise when Lolly's extended Christmas break away from Severus caused Severus to realise he was in love with Lolly. Of course he didn't love her as much as he loved Lily but he still loved her. Of course he wasn't going to tell her that but…..
Oh I'm guessing you want to know why Lolly had an extended Christmas break. Well Lolly left school a week early for Christmas and came back two weeks late, it was the same for Regulus. But Sirius never left for Christmas. All Severus knew about it was a single letter he received from Lolly the day they were meant to go back to Hogwarts. After the letter, Lolly never mentioned the holiday. Like she was banned from talking about it. The letter read;
'Hey Sev,
I'm not allowed back to Hogwarts today. I don't know when I'll be back. I miss you.
I'm an aunt now. To a little boy and girl. Regulus called them Alya Rose and Comet Orion.
Regulus had apparently been dating a pureblood Hufflepuff and she got pregnant. Mother forced them to get married but she died when she gave birth to the twins on Christmas eve.
Mother is going to raise them while Regulus and I are at Hogwarts then Regulus will raise them.

Severus became even more protective after that and that's how the rest of the year went. Until Severus and Lolly had to leave each other's side for summer.
