Work Text:
Wallace often has standards for relationships with other men — realistic or not, he is within his gay rights to proclaim which numbskull he sleeps with. Sleeps with. Not dates!
He’d truly had no certain reason for acting this way. He knew he was a catch, and he couldn’t afford getting his heart broken and going into a bad haircut depression like his poor, 17 year-old-dating roommate.
Todd was a good fling. Big, muscular, Scott cosplay and all. He knew Todd for little over a day before he had the idiot wrapped around his finger. Half because he was hot, other half because he’s Envy’s boyfriend, and fuck her.
He had been sleeping with other Scott, as well as… umm, what was his name again?? While he slept with Todd. It was tiring, to say the least, but Wallace persisted. Being gay was a lifestyle.
Issues came when the vegan started to love him. And he doesn’t use the L word often, this was quite the code red. He could tell a day in, when they were ‘reviewing script lines’, and Todd kissed him with such fervour that Wallace was nearly distracted away from the dick up his ass.
His jaw was sore by the time Todd had finished kissing him. Oh, did he seem like a huge fan of that.
Sometimes, the man would sob in the middle of sex about ‘sparks’ and ‘true love’ and all that gross, reliant stuff.
Maybe Wallace should’ve picked his co-star-with-benefits better.
After it was all said and done, with Todd’s bleeding heart bursting under the stress of bi-ism, portal-ing off, Wallace did feel a bit bad. Usually the men he’s with aren’t hysterical and hurt man-babies. He felt no mercy for Envy, especially after she had the gull to blame Todd for not loving her anymore.
Not his fault. Nobody said being born with the power to turn straight men gay was an easy one.
“There were sparks!”
“…There’s no such thing.”
And this was karma. So karma. Having Todd run to him, repeating the sentiment he had attached for the past… well, 4 or so days, icked Wallace to no end.
The gay man did often have issues with being loving, outside of a sexual setting, and even then it’s slim pickings.
This just exemplified both him and Todds negative personality traits. He wanted to throw up all the alcohol he’s drank today, but that would just be a waste of alcohol.
While he sauntered off — Todd dashing behind him — his black work shoes clacked unevenly against the tile. The other man quickly caught up to him, yanking onto him like his life depended on it. Wallace was his addiction, Todd entire world, opening a new perspective the vegan never had before.
But Wallace was just himself, someone who didn’t settle for a committed relation with a fling. They were nearly diametrically opposed.
“Please! Can’t you stay with me? I—“
Todd started to stammer like a shy schoolgirl, “I want to know everything about you!” He gushed, eyes forming into hearts… literally.
Wallace scoffed, treating the manhandling like it was just another day. In the alcoholics case, it sort of was- “…Just leave it, How many times do I have to break it to you?” He seethed, eye-rolling nearly deducting HP with how damaging it was.
Like he was shot, Todd clutched at his tee-shirt, sniveling.
“I’m not gunna date you. Theres other men in my life besides you, Todd.”
Todd perked up, head cocked in disproval. “B— But… Are they as vegan as I am?” He murmured in the idiotic tone he always used. “You’re my everything! I’d get a tattoo of your face on my abs!”
The begging was just too much. Wallace didn’t find it funny, he just found it sad. And with all the echoing and grabbing, he was pretty over it. He wanted to end it. A solution for the time being.
“Sure. Do that, then get back to me.” He jested, nearly flinching in dismay as Todds eyes lit up like a child with a new dog.
He’s so screwed.
