"FUCK YOU!" Kaveh screamed.
It wasn't abnormal for him and Alhaitham to get into arguments, but it was unusual when they'd have screaming matches like this. Usually, it would just be back-and-forth bickering, maybe some yelling, but nothing like this. No, not ever.
"Wow, so FUCKING MATURE, KAVEH," Alhaithem yelled, "YOU CAN'T EVEN DO THE FUCKING DISHES RIGHT. AND YOU'RE BLAMING ME?"
"It's not my fault everything you buy is so DAMN INTRICATE!" He crossed his arms, "Honestly, it's a wonder you can get your dishes done at all without some-" Kaveh waved his hands around, "S-Some maid!"
"So you're calling yourself a maid? Don't make me laugh, you're too stupid to be a maid!"
Kaveh screamed into his hands, "FINE! Fine, fucking fine!" He tensed up before waving his hands around to get some stimulation, "Have fun cleaning your shit!" He finally yelled back, "Because you won't be seeing me for the rest of the week!" Kaveh turned around to face away from him.
"And where would you go? You have nothing else and nobody else!"
"MY CREATIONS-" He spun around again,
"YOUR CREATIONS ARE WORTHLESS. IS IT A COINCIDENCE THAT EVERY." Alhaitham slammed his hand down with every word to prove a point, "SINGLE" Slam! "IDEA" Slam! "HAS BEEN TURNED DOWN? YOU HAVE NOTHING."
Kaveh looked at him like a deer in headlights before storming passed him, shoving him in the process. His shoes loudly clacked against the ground as he stomped out. Tears ran down his face and his throat hurt. He always hated crying during arguments, he felt stupid.
"You'll be back in around 5 hours." Alhaitham scoffed as Kaveh stormed out, slamming the door behind him. "YOU ALWAYS COME BACK," He yelled at the door, "IT'S ALL YOU'RE GOOD FOR."
Alhaitham exhaled, not even realizing he was holding his breath. He always hated when Kaveh would do something like this because he'd always get a notification that the blonde was using his tab. He sat down on the couch, holding his head in his hands before rubbing his temples. He eventually reached up and ran his hands through his hair.
After a few minutes of cooling off, he sat up and grabbed his book off the coffee table. He needed to take his mind off things, even if for a few minutes.
Those few minutes turned into hours, and Alhaitham lost track of time. He glanced out of the window that the blonde always insisted on leaving open, only to notice it was nighttime. After that, it was midnight. He mentally cursed at himself, picking up a bookmark and placing it in the book he was reading before getting up and placing it on the coffee table.
Cyno would kill him if he didn't go get Kaveh. That, or make bad puns about it.
He wasn't excited about either option.

He found Kaveh at the most likely place he could've;
The tavern.
"Mmgh.." The drunken blonde groaned, his head pressed against the hardwood of the table. His blueprints for newer buildings were sprawled out around him, they were torn. He was at a table in the back with multiple bottles of Archon-knows-what. His chest was heaving as he softly cried against the table, his tears falling and smearing more blueprints.
Alhaitham's eyes softened as soon as he saw this. Kaveh always found pride in his creations, no matter who disapproved. So why did it hurt him so much now that Alhaitham, his ex-best friend, someone whom Kaveh was ashamed to live with, made him cry this hard? The blonde softly whimpered when he felt a hand brush some of his hair away from his face.
"Hey." The Acting Grade Sage sat down next to him, "I apologize."
"N-No." Kaveh turned his head away from him, his cheek still pressed against the table. "Yous' aren't.. Y-You're right, always right... Non' right for 'Aveh.."
"You're drunk."
" 'M not.." He softly whined
"You are.." Alhaitham repeated the whiny voice back to him. "Come on, let's get you back home."
"No!" Kaveh sat up, "Nuh, I-I'll get ma' self home..."
Oh. Oooh, Kaveh didn't recognize Alhaitham.
"Why can't I take you home?" The Junior asked.
"Mgh.. No!" Kaveh pouted. Alhaitham let out a light chuckle before gently lifting Kaveh, positioning him so he was riding on his back. "Noo!"
"Yess."
Kaveh softly whined again, pressing his head against the in-between of Alhaitham's neck and shoulder. "Mm.. You smell like my crush.."
Now that piqued Alhaitham's interest.
"Oh, do I?"
"You dooo.."
"And what does he smell like?"
"Well.. He doesn't like to use strong soapy because is' too strong." Kaveh inhaled the space again nuzzling his nose against Alhaitham's neck. Alhaitham felt his face become hot, blinking a few times before softly chuckling.
"And what does your aforementioned crush look like?"
"Same height as me, maybe a little taller. Silver hair.. 'Es strong, too." Kaveh's voice was muffled, "Mm.. I luvv' him!"
"You love him?" Anybody could hear the smile in Alhaitham's voice.
"IN LOVE!" Kaveh giggled, "Mm.. He's mad at me right now, though.."
"Is he now?"
"Mgh.."
Kaveh seemed to be done answering questions, passing out with his head against Alhaitham's neck.
Alhaitham couldn't help but smile. The other was likely drunk and didn't mean it, but there was still a chance he did end up meaning it.
And that was enough for Alhaitham to sleep with him on the couch.
And that was enough for Alhaitham to kiss his cheek.
