Chapter 1: || Im Tired ||

Chapter Text

You woke up hearing the dreading sound of your alarm clock, "here we go again" you thought to yourself as you turned off the alarm, the house laid silent. You parents were probably already at work like usual, it was nothing new. You sat up and threw the covers off you, forcing yourself to get up and get dressed. You looked around your room, seeing all the lego sets you built over the years, the posters hanging on the wall of your childhood show, ninjago. You sighed, wishing you could go back to being a child again.

You walked downstairs to the kitchen, a note hanging on the fridge. You walked up to the fridge and read the note, "We'll be back tomorrow to celebrate your birthday! -Love mom and dad." You crumple the paper into a ball and threw it in the trash.

You opened the fridge, thinking if you wanted to eat breakfast or not, you decided to just take a apple and head off to school. You closed the fridge and walked to the front door, backpack on your back, apple in hand.

You locked the door after you and started walking towards the bus stop while eating your apple. You sat down on the bench and waited for the bus.

The bus came, you finished your apple and threw it in the trashcan beside the bench and got on the buss. You walked to the back, there was a baby crying, a man on his phone arguing with someone, the bus was so noisy. You grabbed your headphones around your neck and put them on, connecting them to your phone and blasting music in your ears.

You looked out the window, not wanting to be here in the first place, slowly your school appeared around the corner, you pressed the stop button and got off the bus.

Your steps felt heavy as you walked up to the school, you sighed and walked in, music still blasting in your ears. You walked over to your locker putting in your backpack replacing it with your math book.

You started walking over to the classroom, knowing that the teacher would open the door and be all cheery to start the lesson, she would also be extra cheery because it was your birthday tomorrow. Your teacher loved making the class sing happy birthday for anyone in the class.

The door opened and the teacher came out, "Hello my beautiful students! How are you all doing?" Your classmates started walking in the classroom, you followed after them, but your teacher stopped you. "What now?" You asked annoyed, "I know it's your birthday tomorrow, but I couldn't help but realize that your looking real gloomy, are you doing okay? Did something happen?"

You rolled your eyes and said, "I'm fine." You walked to the back of the classroom and sat down by your desk. You laid your head on the desk and fell asleep, you felt a tapping on your shoulder, it was your classmate beside you who had woken you up, "What?" You asked annoyed, "You shouldn't be sleeping during the lesson, your supposed to be doing math."

You looked at your classmate, classic teacher pet, "Look, why don't you focus on your shit and I focus on mine, got that?" You said annoyed. Your classmate looked at you and raised his hand. "Yes?" The teacher called out to your classmate, "She's sleeping in class instead of doing the work." You sighed and gave your classmate a angry look.

"Do you need to go to the nurse office?" The teacher asked you, "No, I'm fine, just a little tired." You said annoyed.

You had to put up with the same classmate all day, because the teachers were lazy and all used the same seat placement in all the classrooms. You sighed out of relief and walked out of the school, school was finally over and you started walking to the bus stop.

When you finally had gotten home you called out to your mom and dad, "Mom? Dad? You home yet?" No answer, of course they weren't home yet, always busy at work, no time for their own daughter. You walked up to you room, turning on your TV and put on ninjago, you laid down on your bed, not long after you had fallen asleep.

You woke up thinking you were going back to your usual dreams about being in Ninjago, but this time you were in a empty void, you heard a voice, "Come with me and you can stay forever, all you have to do is kill yourself." The voice echoed.

You looked around confused on where the voice was coming from, "What?" You asked confused, the voice repeated itself, "Kill yourself and you can stay here forever." The voice still echoing, "Stay in Ninjago forever?" You asked, "Yes." The voice echoed again, before you could ask any more questions you woke up laying on your bed.

You stared at the roof for a while, thinking about the dream, it felt so real, all those dreams you had about living in ninjago all this time could be real forever, you just had to do one thing, it had been on your mind for years, but you never had the guts to do it. You have tried before, but you failed, your parents walked in on you while you were hanging yourself.

You still remember that night, you were having there from the roof, feeling the air leave your body when your mom and dad walked in the room. Your dad lifted you up as your mom untied the rope around your neck.

The next morning your parents told you that they gotten a therapist for you. The therapist hadn't done shit about your problems, the only time you felt happy was when you were asleep dreaming or watching Ninjago.

You walked downstairs and stood walked over to the door leading to the garage, you opened the door and saw that your parents car wasn't there. You walked over the a shelf and took a climbing rope, your dad was really into climbing these past months.

You took the rope and walked back up to your room, you closed the door behind you and locked it. You dragged your chair from your desk and placed it in the middle of the room, you got up on the chair, and started tieing the rope to the roof. You made sure it was secure and tied the rope around your neck, taking a deep breath before kicking the chair away from under your feet.

You felt the air leave you once more, like that night when you failed. This time you weren't gonna fail, your parents weren't home this time, finally you don't have to put up with your annoying classmate, no more hearing that cheery teacher, no more parents trying to buy you presents to make you "happy". Your vision started going blurry, slowly turning black. Soon you couldn't see anything anymore.
