Logan was still nervous about being an omega in the paddock, especially one who wasn’t super well-liked. It was the worst on days when his omega instincts were taking over and there as nothing he could do about it. It didn’t help that he didn’t have an alpha to calm his instincts. Oscar tried but now being on two different teams in Formula 1 made it hard for the alpha to spend time with Logan. Logan understood, they were both so busy and it always seemed like when one was free the other was busy.
Logan has felt off all day. His skin felt tight, and he couldn’t breathe properly. It had been weeks since him and Oscar had had any time to nest together and calm Logan’s omega. Logan didn’t even know the meeting he was currently in had finished until someone was shaking his shoulder. Logan snapped his head up, turning to the right and seeing Alex sitting there. A quick look around showed Logan that they were the only two left in the room. How long had the meeting been over?
“Are you alright mate?” Alex asked genuine concern in his voice.
“Yeah fine.” Logan felt his voice break just a little bit, coughing to clear his throat.
“You don’t seem alright. You’ve been sitting here for almost 15 minutes since everyone left. I’ve been trying to get your attention for almost 5 minutes.” Alex smiled at his teammate.
“Yeah no I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.” Alex clearly didn’t believe him; just by the look he was giving him.
“You were spaced out the whole meeting, they ended it early because you clearly weren’t paying attention.”
“I’m just tired, it’s nothing.”
“Have you not been spending time with an alpha? I thought you and Oscar had a deal?”
“We do but F1 is a lot different than anything else we’ve done. It’s hard to find time when we’re both free to have time to actually relax and nest together so it’s been a while.”
“You can nest in my room, if you want.” Alex said, surprising Logan.
“Are you sure? I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
“Mate, my two best friends and girlfriend are all omegas. It doesn’t bother me honestly if you want to. But it’s up to you honestly but the offer is there.”
“Are you sure?” Now that the offer to nest with an alpha was out there his omega was screaming at him to take the offer.
“Of course. Come on, we can go to my driver’s room. If there’s anything you want from your room grab it and come over. I’ll order some food for us and meet you there.” Alex reaches out and squeezes Logan’s shoulder. Logan felt himself relax just from that little touch, which made him realize just how long it’s been since he’s had physical contact with an alpha.
Logan quickly left for his own diver’s room. He’s never been too picky about nesting materials, using whatever he could find. There were three things he needed for every nest he made; a stuffed koala that was a gag gift from Arthur last Christmas (jokes on him he loved it more than anything and if he names it Oscar no one needs to know but him), a blanket his mom gave him when he first presents that was getting warn out but he couldn’t bare to part with and a sweater from Oscar/ The sweater changed periodically when the ones he had started to lose Oscar’s scent he returned it and within a day or two a new one was waiting for him that smelt just like the alpha. The one he currently had was losing its scent but would do for today. Logan would return it for a new one soon. Logan didn’t know how Alex would feel about him bringing another’s alpha’s scent into his space but he did tell him to bring anything he wanted, so he folded the blanket and sweater neatly and settled the stuffed koala on top of the pile. Alex’s room was just down the hall and the door was open when he got there. Alex was pulling a basket into the middle of the room while Logan watched from the doorway.
“Hey, come on in. You can look though all of these and pick what you like. I’m not totally sure what’s in here, just supplies that have been collected from Lando, George and Lily over the years. Use whatever you want. I’m going to go and pick up our food and I’ll be back.” Alex squeezed Logan’s shoulder on the way by again, further grounding Logan.
Logan made quick work now that he was alone. He sat his stuff down on the massage table in Alex’s room. Unlike Logan Alex didn’t have a couch or bed so Logan made his nest in the corner furthest from the door, on the floor. Logan carefully constructed the nest, he did occasionally have to run to his own room to grab something. He finished off the nest, putting his blanket on top, Oscar’s sweater tucked neatly by Logan’s pillow and his koala tucked into his arms. Logan was curled up in the nest, finally relaxing a little but when Alex came back.
“Well, don’t you look comfy? Do you want to eat in the nest or at the table?”
“Nest. You can come in.” Logan sat up, tucking his koala in by Oscar’s sweater. Alex climbed into the nest, bringing their food with him. Alex settled in beside Logan. The two ate in silence, Alex collecting their garbage when they were finished.
“This is a nice nest, Logie.” Logan blushed, covering his face with his koala at Alex’s words. The nickname was something new in the last couple of weeks. Logan wasn’t sure where it came from but he has yet to correct Alex whenever he said it.
“Thanks.” Logan grabbed Oscar’s hoodie almost without thinking, pulling it to his chest and burying his face in the fabric.
“I'm guessing that’s Oscar.” Alex was now lying down in the nest, face to face with Logan. He was lying close enough for Logan to cuddle him if he wanted, but far enough away to let Logan choose.
“Yes, I can take it back to my room if you want.”
“If you want it I don’t care. Just because this is my room doesn’t mean anything. This is your nest and what you say goes.”
“Thanks.” Logan scooted closer, filling the gap between the two. Logan tucked himself under Alex’s chin, Oscar’s hoodie and koala Oscar between them. Alex gently rubbed Logan’s back until the omega drifted off to sleep, the alpha not far behind him. The two slept for a while, so long that neither of them noticed Oscar coming in with the intent of asking Alex if he’s seen Logan and taking a picture. Oscar smiled at the pair, sending the picture to them both, smiling at it. He didn’t miss his hoodie between the two, or the way Logan’s nose was buried in the hoodie to take in Oscar’s scent instead of Alex’s.
