“NO, LINUS NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! WHY I WOULDN’T DARE BE SEEN GOING OUT WITH A BOY AS YOUNG AS YOU!”
That sentence was yelled by one Violet Gray at Linus van Pelt as when Linus asked her if she wanted to go to the movies with him, in which Violet politely declined. And by politely, we mean yelling at Linus telling him no, and that she wouldn’t go to the movies with him due to Linus being too young. As Violet turned around to leave, she heard something, someone sniffling. She turned around and saw Linus crying silently, tears streaming down the boy’s pale face. What Violet was witnessing made her feel sick to her stomach. As Linus continued to cry, Violet walked back with his security blanket. Violet tapped his shoulder, and handed him his baby blue security blanket, in which Linus grabbed and fondled, with his thumb in his mouth. Linus walked over to Violet and gave a soft hug, in which Violet, after a few seconds, hugged him back. As Linus turned to leave, “Hey.” Linus turned around to see Violet held her hand out to Linus with an annoyed look but with a slight blush on her face. “You want to go to the movies with me?” Linus got so happy, that even though he was smaller, leaned up and placed his lips on Violet’s, causing the girl to blush harder. The purple dressed girl grabbed the red with black striped shirt boy and the two headed off to the movies.
