Work Text:
He wraps his arms around his neck, pushed up a nearby wall. He removes the Knight's mask. Unfamiliar with this type of situation the Knight places their hands on his waist.
Sīdus: shit- (his voice is breathy as he pulls away)
Carmine: What’s wrong?
Sīdus: Nothing– you’re fine–
The Knight looks to where he’s holding him, he instantly removes his hands from his sides. Caught up in the moment he forgot that claws on skin usually aren't a good mix.
Sīdus: Nono you’re good– I just
He leans back, relaxing his arms and bringing his hands down to the Knights face.
Carmine: (confused) I thought you said it hurts– right?
Sīdus: It does– but, I like– want you to do it? Sorta? I think? Sorry– I’ve made this weird haven’t I– this was probably a bad idea anyways
He avoids looking directly at the Knight. He’s quiet for a bit, thinking of how to word his next sentence.
Carmine: I– (he starts but shakes his head starting again) You’ve helped me understand things, things I wasn’t aware of. I could… I can try to..
He pulls Sīdus in closer, hands meeting his sides once more. The Wizard laughs under his breath, he can feel his body shudder underneath his touch. He leans in to kiss him as claws rip skin. A small tear to expose a formless night sky, Carma breaks away from their kiss to look at him.
Carmine: should I..? (his voice is quiet)
Sīdus places his hand over his, leaning to rest his head on his shoulder before pressing his claws further. The warmth from his skin is lost within what lies under it. It’s cold yet it feels like nothing. The ribbons in his skin grow larger exposing more of the ever shifting void. He lies his hand flat on his stomach, not allowing it to tear further. Shifting his hand over to the center of his chest, his hand sits on the scar that resides there. He can’t say he’s not at least a bit curious about what this vessel hides. He applies a bit of pressure, just to see. He feels Sīdus tense up.
Sīdus: Carma–
He raises his head, meeting Carmine’s face. Hearing his name uttered alone causes his hands to shoot up. Sīdus exhales as if holding his breath this whole time.
Carmine: (he curses softly) don’t look at me like that.. (he covers his mouth with the back of his hand)
Sīdus: What? You like seeing me like this or somethin’? (he smirks and leans his head to the side)
A familiar pink cloud begins to fill in the newly found gaps in the Wizards skin. He turns away from him not even sure how to react to any of this, something about it felt so close, so intimate but wrong somehow. What even was this?
