Do what they love most of all
(All the birds of the feather sequel)

Hinata’s POV

A lot has changed in the past couple years. I went off to Brazil to begin my training and Tobi went on to play for the Adlers. He even was chosen for the Olympics team last year held here in Rio. Unfortunately due to our schedules we didn't get to see one another. We were both pretty upset. We really haven't got to see one another in the last couple years.

I've been training alot and the Mbsy Jackals are holding tryouts in a week. Bokuto, one of the members of a friendly rival team from high-school, told me about it and really thinks I would be a good asset to the team. Him and Atsuma, another player from a rival school, think that I'll be a perfect wing spiker/ opposite hitter like Bokuto. Plus I think that they REALLY wanna take down Tobi's team this year.

Either way on whether I make the team or not I'm headed back to Japan in about 2 days. I am not telling Tobi of course I wanna see the look of surprise on his face. Thankfully I know what his schedule is like so he will be at practice when I get to him.

Hehe this is gonna be so fun I can't wait!!!

Tobi's pov

Ugh this is literally the worst….. I'm changing in the locker rooms changing for practice and like always the other players bring up other players who could be added to some of the teams this year. That's not a problem however. The problem is WHO they are talking about this time. Out of all the people they could talk about that had to talk about HIM…

"I mean have you seen his spikes!?!?! He is crazy good." Said Keigo Nishimura, one of the wing spikers/ opposite hitters.

"Not to mention he's not bad looking either I mean if you're into dudes." Toshiro the libero states making me want to slam my face in my locker.

Wakatoshi Ushijima, a rival from high-school now turned teammate, gives me a knowing look. He smirks when I groan and turns to the rest of the team. He really has gotten less serious. He still scowls but now like to make joking jabs at me.

"Who are you talking about exactly?" He asked knowing damn well who they were talking about. I swear I'm gonna set a ball right into his head!!!

"OH uh Hinata Shoyo. He's a beach volleyball player but apparently he plays regular volleyball too and has been training for tryouts for a big league team. He was HUGE in middle school for beach volleyball. They call him Ninja Shoyo" Our captain states and I groan and contemplate just leaving the locker rooms all together.

Ushijima gets a mischievous smile and then says, " Oh I know him. My high-school team played his team a lot before we graduated. "

The rest of the team looked intrigued and motioned for more Info.

"If you wanna know more about him just ask Kageyama. He did go to school and was on the high-school team with him."

That traitor!! Nope no way am I sticking around to get grilled for answers. I quickly finished getting ready before anyone could ask and left the locker rooms quickly. The others followed after a minute or so. Captain looked like he wanted to say something but I just continued on with stretches.

Eventually when we were all done Toshiro walked up to me.

"Hey why did you walk out when Ushijima mentioned you know Ninja Shoyo?" He asked, looking very curious. I resisted the urge to hit my head on a wall several times.

I really didn't want to tell them it was because they were talking about my boyfriend, who I haven't seen in person in 2 years. To make matters worse, we were in the same country when I went to the Olympics. But “apparently” there were scheduling conflicts… Nope, they didn't need to know that information. Besides, practice is about to start anyway.

"Practice is about to start." I said and turned away. My teammates probably think that there's some bad blood between Sho and I given I'm not telling them but I really don't care. I'm allowed to keep some parts of my life a secret.

Hinata’s pov

Man, that flight was long but I'm super excited to see Tobi again in person after 2 years. I bet he's gonna be so shocked when I show up to his practice.

As I walk out of the terminal I spot Kei and Tadashi waiting for me to my surprise. It was only supposed to be Tadashi though.

"Guys!!!" I yelled and ran up to them hugging the daylights out of them.

"Shoyo it's so good to see you again!" Tadashi exclaimed with Kei nodding in agreement. I can't get over how different they look.

Kei's hair is shorter and he has different glasses, while Tadashi grew his hair out and it's kinda bleached at the end. It's also in a small ponytail. Tadashi is still taller than me but not by much. Kei however still towers over me.

"Are you ready to go see your lover boy after 2 years?" Kei teased and I felt myself blush. Honestly I missed Tobi a lot and playing volleyball hasn't been the same without him.

"Absolutely." I said with confidence. By the time we get there his practice should just be wrapping up. I of course didn't message him and haven't since yesterday telling him I was taking a trip.

Tadashi and Kei each give me a big smile and help me grab my bags and we are off. I can't wait to see the surprised look on Tobi's face.

Tobio's pov

Ugh and I thought standing in the locker room listening to my teammate gush about the boyfriend they don't know I have was bad. This has been absolutely worse. The entire practice my team has been bugging me about Shoyo and when I ignore them they make comments like
"Wow Kageyama must have really hated him."
Or
"They must of had a falling out or something."

Ugh why can't they just respect my privacy. Just as we are wrapping up practice I hear gasps from my teammates. They were all looking behind me with shock all over their faces even Ushijima looked speechless. I turned to look at what they were staring at and my breath caught in my throat. My heart is beating rapidly.

"Good to see you're not slacking off Tobi." Sho says and I can barely breathe let alone believe that he is here.

"Sho…" I managed to say. My heart ready to beat out of my chest.

The first thing I noticed was he was taller not by much but by a bit. He had tears threatening to fall out of his eyes, happiness evident in them. The shock breaks in a second and I rush to him. He slams into my chest and I hug him tightly. His heart is beating loudly or maybe it's mine still ready to beat out of my chest.

After a moment or two when we pull apart I kiss him. It was like everything in the universe fell into place at that very moment. When we pulled away we both were crying big fat ugly tears. Each of us only paying attention to one another.

A second passes and someone from behind loudly clears their throat and I remember we weren't alone. Well, time to face the wolf's. I stand, shaking a bit still, offering a hand to Sho. Once I pulled him to his feet, our hands clasped together, we turned to face the small crowd of volleyball players behind us.
