Animatronic Family! (Rewritten)

Summary:

Wrote this back in 2022, decided to rewrite it :)

After the events of Security Breach, Gregory made amends with the animatronics and was living happily at the pizzaplex with all of them. (Read my story "Making Amends" for that! [It's old so I apologize for any cringe writing lol])

"Gregory had been in the Pizzaplex for a few months, now.

He was enjoying life much more than before when he had to live on the streets... he had food, water, warmth, shelter, and a new family that loved him.

But...

Something still felt like it was missing.

He couldn't quite explain it, but there was just a nagging thought tickling his mind that wouldn't leave."

*This story features my oc animatronic, Skylar. :)*

*Go to the first part of this series: 🌟General information about this au🌟 if you want to see what she looks like and know a little bit about her :)

Notes:

Hey, happy Thanksgiving to those of you that celebrate! I hope the holiday finds you well! :D

Chapter 1: Exploring the sewers beneath the Pizzaplex... what could go wrong?

Chapter Text

Gregory had been in the Pizzaplex for a few months, now.

He was enjoying life much more than before when he had to live on the streets... he had food, water, warmth, shelter, and a new family that loved him.

But...

Something still felt like it was missing.

He couldn't quite explain it, but there was just a nagging thought tickling his mind that wouldn't leave.

It was obvious that there used to be a few other animatronics in the Pizzaplex that weren't there, anymore.

A fox, a bunny, and something about another wolf other than Roxanne.

Freddy and the others never talked about them, and tended to avoid the attractions that had anything to do with them.

Gregory knew it hurt them to talk about their missing friends... he could see it in their eyes whenever they passed by the empty attractions.

So, here he was.

Walking around the large rooms of the sewers beneath the building, aimlessly wandering in hopes that he might find something.

Now, find what, he had no clue... but just something that would help his family with their losses... something like a plushie, or maybe a piece of merchandise they no longer carried in the gift shops, or... or something like that!

Gregory gasped as he turned the corner along a large mountain of trash, clutching his flashlight tightly as the beam of light shone ahead of him.

In front of him, backs against the tall concrete wall, were two bodies of animatronics.

Gregory pointed the light at each of them, trying to keep the shake out of his hands.

Blue fur, two long ears sticking out of its head, legs that were barely attached to its body, a gaping hole in its chest, a hole in the side of its head- Bonnie.

It had to have been him. There wasn't any other rabbit in the Pizzaplex, not after- well... anyway, it was odd. He didn't look anything like he did on the posters at Bonnie Bowl. The biggest difference was he was blue and not purple like the poster.

The animatronic next to the limp bunny was what looked to be a fox in some sort of... pirate getup?

Foxy?

He had a hook, red fur, a pirate patch over the eye- yep, definitely the pirate fox he's heard about- he had completely bare legs, leaving nothing but exposed endoskeleton, one of his ears was gone, and his tail- well, if you could even call it that- was just a couple of wires that no longer had any fur, making it look like a rat's tail.

The animatronics both appeared to be non-functional, so he cautiously walked up to them, keeping his guard up and flashlight pointed at them, just in case.

Gregory hesitantly reached a hand out to touch the bunny's shoulder pad.

Just as his hand barely brushed the blue material, a sudden sound echoed down the sewer walls.

He gasped, instinctively clicking his flashlight off as he backed away from the animatronics next to him.

He nervously glanced around in the darkness as his back hit the large pile of trash bags behind him.

The sounds got louder.

It sounded like something... rolling?

Then, a yip, sounding similar to a small dog on the street he heard one time, bounced around the walls.

Gregory's eyes shot open wide when the animatronics in front of him came to life, giving his eyes something to focus on in the pitch black as their eyes glowed softly.

He hoped they wouldn't spot him hiding in the shadows.

He watched as the fox gave a whistle.

The bunny shook his head as if trying to shake away the rest of sleepiness.

The boy's gaze snapped to the right as more glowing eyes appeared from around the trash bag in his vision, these ones purple.

"There she is." A slightly gravelly, pirate accented voice sounded out.

He watched as the seemingly floating purple eyes went over and lowered down next to the other two. "I got nothin'..." A second voice sighed softly, this one more female than the other.

There was a shifting, before a third voice spoke up. "D- don't worry about i- it, Cottont- tail... we'll get o- out ev- eventually." This one was clearly damaged.

"But your voicebox is getting worse every day..." The female one worried. "And I'm not sure how much longer that generator is gonna last us."

The pirate spoke up again. "Aye'll take 'nother look around tonight... we'll figure this out, Mateys."

'Another look around for what?' Gregory thought to himself. 'And how long have they been down here, anyway?'

He was too busy in thought to realize he was starting to lean against an unstable part of the trash pile around him.

Before he knew it, he was falling over and towards the floor. Thankfully, he was able to get his arms out underneath himself before his face could hit the hard concrete floor.

He yelped as a few trash bags came tumbling down on top of him, awful smells invading his nose as they covered him.

"W- what was th- th- at?" He heard the broken voice ask, and he froze.

'They heard me.' He thought in fear.

He heard heavy footsteps coming towards him through the trash bags. He squeezed his eyes shut as he tensed.

'Please don't find me, please don't find me, please do-'

One of the bags by his face was gently moved out of the way, making his eyes snap back open.

A golden eye stared back at him, wide and, quite frankly, terrifying in the pitch black.

"It... it be a-"

Gregory screamed, frantically scrambling to turn on his flashlight and shine it at the glowing eye.

Part of him regretted it when he did, because the fox animatronic was way worse looking when he was awake.

The pirate stumbled back with a startled shout, covering his eye as his ear shot back with a spark while the boy continued to scream.

Gregory pushed himself out of the mound of trash bags around him, running through the room without second thought.

"W- w- wait!" The broken voice reached his ears.

He didn't wait.

He couldn't!

Not with the potential threat of having them kill him!

As if to confirm his theory, he heard the sound of footsteps racing after him!

And then, suddenly, he was caught.

He screamed, thrashing in his captor's arms like a wild animal. "Let me go!!"

"Woah, woah! Take it easy, Stardust, we won't hurt you!" The female voice from earlier said behind him.

Gregory didn't listen to her as he kicked his leg back as hard as he could. "Let me go!!"

There was a yelp behind him, and suddenly he was stumbling forward on shaky legs.

He tried to regain his balance, but he ended up tripping over his own two feet and falling to the floor.

He whimpered as pain stung his hands when they hit the rough concrete floor. Thankfully, the skin didn't break, and it only left his hands scuffed.

Soft footsteps came up to him from behind. "Easy, Kid..." The female said calmly.

"Please, don't hurt me..." He whispered, tears filling his eyes as he curled up on the filthy floor.

"I won't..." She assured him softly, slowly coming closer as the boy started to sob. "You must be lost, may I... pick you up?" She asked gently.

Gregory nodded helplessly, squeezing his eyes shut as he felt arms snake around him.

He was held in a surprisingly gentle way, secure to the robot holding him so he wouldn't fall.

The purple-eyed animatronic grabbed his flashlight, before slowly trailing back to where they had come from.
