Work Text:
“Chaewon broke up with me.”
Jiwoo’s head instantly shoots up because what?? It’s only homeroom and there’s already drama that she wasn’t even prepared for! She was just peacefully working on her masterpiece of a musical, Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical, until Hyeju rudely interrupted her with this bombshell of information. “What do you mean she broke up with you?”
Hyeju looks like a complete mess. Her eyebags are even worse than usual and she’s wearing that disgusting “normal people scare me” shirt she got at Hot Topic in 6th grade. Holy shit, she’d reverted back to her middle school emo era. “Exactly what it sounds like.” Hyeju sniffles. “We broke up last night and this morning she dropped a new song on Soundcloud that starts with a voicemail I sent her! I can’t believe she’d do this to me.”
“Oh…” Now this is a dilemma. If Chaewon had released an entire song about her and Hyeju’s relationship the break up must’ve been hella messy and tbh Jiwoo does not want to be involved with that. Like, she has to finish her soon to be Tony Award winning musical, Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical. “That sucks, Hyeju. You guys were my second favorite school couple.”
Hyeju just grunts and lays her head down on her desk. “I don’t wanna talk about it anymore.”
Before Jiwoo can say anything else, the bell rings. Mr. Park claps his hands and stands up. “Alright everyone, it’s time to say the pledge of allegiance. Sooyoung, will you lead us?”
“Sure, Mr. Park,” the star of the track team, Sooyoung Ha, says. She stands up, places her hand over her heart, and recites this weird version of the pledge that Jiwoo has never heard before. “I pledge allegiance to the bag of the United States of South Korea. And to that girl I made out with in the third floor stairwell. One nation, under Playboi Carti, magnolia, vamp anthem. Amen.”
“Amen!” A couple of Sooyoung’s friends from the track team shout.
Mr. Park rubs his temples. “I don’t get paid enough for this shit.”
“That was so beautiful, Sooyoung!” This random girl, who Jiwoo is pretty sure she saw making out with Sooyoung behind the gym two days ago, says. “But, we’re in America, not South Korea…”
Sooyoung rolls her eyes. “I know that, Cassie. I was just reciting the pledge. It’s not my fault that’s how it goes.”
“But that’s not how it goes?”
“Uh, yes it is.” Sooyoung doesn’t even bother waiting for Cassie's response. She just grabs her backpack and walks out of the classroom with the hottest girl in school, Jungeun Kim, at her side.
Jiwoo takes that as her cue to leave, because no one ever leaves a classroom unless the hottest girl in school, Jungeun Kim, has left first. She packs up her amazingly brilliant musical, Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical, and leaves Hyeju behind to wallow in her misery for a little longer (or at least until the second bell rings and she realizes she’s late).
///
Lunch after a breakup is always hell, but for some reason this lunch period is infinitely worse and it just started. For starters, Jiwoo’s entire friend group has split in half. One half is team Chaewon and the other (better) half is team Hyeju. Jinsoul, and Yeojin are team Chaewon, while Jiwoo and Heejin are team Hyeju.
And Yerim, poor Yerim, just kind of stands awkwardly in the middle of the cafeteria looking at the two tables her friend group has divided into. She debates the options and potential repercussions of choosing which team she’s on before walking away from both tables entirely to sit with her twin sister, Hyunjin.
Heejin takes a violent bite of her pb&j. “Hoes have no loyalty, for real,” she says while obnoxiously chewing her sandwich.
“She was the only girl I ever loved,” Hyeju says pathetically. “And now, even my closest friends have betrayed me for her.”
“I thought I was your closest friend?” Jiwoo says.
“You know what you should do?” Heejin says, ignoring Jiwoo’s comment. “You should totally find a new girlfriend to make Chaewon jealous.”
Hyeju shakes her head. “I could never. Chae means too much to me.” She sighs and pokes at her perfectly good mini hotdog lunchables.
“Girl, she broke up with you! Stop being a pussy and get revenge!” Heejin shouts. “You agree with me, right Jiwoo?”
“Huh?” Jiwoo stops mixing her disgusting cafeteria mac&cheese with her chocolate milk to fully process what’s going on. She thinks about it for a good 30 seconds before nodding. “Yeah, Heejin has a point. Plus, in my soon to be world famous musical, Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical, the main character, Todd, does the exact same thing!”
Heejin puts a hand on Jiwoo’s shoulder and smiles at her. “Jiwoo.”
“Yeah?”
“No one cares about your stupid fucking musical.”
“But who am I even gonna date?” Hyeju asks, interrupting Heejin and Jiwoo before an argument can start.
Jiwoo looks at Heejin, who shrugs. “Don’t look at me! I didn’t think this far ahead,” she says.
“There are like 5 whole hot girls at this school, so it shouldn’t be that hard to pick a girlfriend for Hyeju,” Jiwoo says. “So we’ve got Jungeun, Joohyun, Rose, Hyunjin, and Haseul.”
Heejin and Hyeju both freeze. Heejin’s pb&j is hovering halfway inside of her mouth and Hyeju stops playing with her damn lunchables. “Did you just sneak Haseul Cho onto your list of the hottest girls at school?” Heejin asks.
“What do you mean sneak her onto my list? Haseul is hot!” Jiwoo says.
“No she isn’t,” Hyeju says. She reaches across the table to put a hand on Jiwoo’s forehead. “Are you feeling okay? It kinda feels like you have a fever.”
Jiwoo slaps Hyeju’s hand off of her and glares at her friends. “I’m not sick! Haseul is seriously hot! You guys just have no taste.”
“Oh my fucking god,” Heejin says suddenly. “YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON HASEUL!”
“WHAT???” Jiwoo shouts. “NO I DON’T!”
“YES YOU DO!”
“I DO NOT!”
“You totally do. Look, you’re turning red.” Hyeju holds up her phone to show Jiwoo her bright red face.
“HYEJU!? Even you’d turn against me?” Jiwoo asks.
Hyeju shrugs. “It’s the truth. You’ve always been obsessed with her, but I thought that was ‘cause you wanted her to star in your shitty musical.”
“She does have a very nice voice,” Heejin says. “I can understand why you like her.”
“I do not like her!” Jiwoo hisses.
“Yeah, and I don’t make out with Hyunjin Kim in the fourth stall of the second floor girl’s bathroom every Tuesday,” Heejin says.
“Wait, what?” Hyeju asks.
“Shit, I wasn’t supposed to say that.”
Right when Jiwoo and Hyeju are about to start pressing Heejin for answers, the bell rings. Heejin shoves the rest of her pb&j into her mouth, grabs her lunch box, and runs off.
“THIS ISN’T OVER, HEEJIN JEON!” Jiwoo screams after her.
///
Jiwoo’s favorite class in the entire world is her seventh period creative writing class. She originally thought she’d hate it considering she wasn’t a very good writer (her 73 in English could attest to that), but she ended up loving the class. Why? Well, because she sat next to none other than Haseul.
Usually, the two would whisper back and forth for the duration of the class about their ideas and Jiwoo’s musical, but on this fateful day it’s hella awkward all because of Heejin’s ridiculous claims during lunch. Jiwoo doesn’t have a crush on Haseul! Sure, she thinks she’s really pretty, smart, and talented. And sure, she may or may not have had multiple dreams about kissing her, but that doesn’t mean she has a crush! It’s just… admiration. Yeah, admiration for another talented fan of theater.
“Jiwoo, how’s your musical coming along?” Haseul asks.
“I don’t have a crush on you!” Jiwoo says.
Haseul blinks. “What?”
Oh shit. “I said ‘it’s coming along great, thanks for asking!’” Jiwoo says quickly.
“Are you sure? Because I thought I heard you sa-”
“Here it is! You can look over it if you’d like.” Jiwoo interrupts Haseul and all but throws the notebook with Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical inside it.
If there’s anyone in the world more obsessed with Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical than Jiwoo, its genius creator, it’d have to be Haseul. She was there when Jiwoo first came up with the idea and has supported it ever since. She seriously thinks it was the most clever horror musical comedy ever invented and she’s lowkey right.
When Haseul finishes reading the newest addition to Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical it’s almost like the previous (very awkward) conversation never happened. She beams at Jiwoo and says, “this is genius! You’re so talented! I hope you’ll consider me for one of the roles once it’s on Broadway.”
“Thanks Haseul.” Jiwoo’s 99% sure she’s blushing. Actually, scratch that, she’s 100% sure she’s blushing thanks to Seulgi Kang’s snickering from the desk on her left.
“Seriously.” Haseul reaches across the gap between their desks to hold Jiwoo’s hand. “You’re really talented.”
Oh my god. Jiwoo shuts her eyes and patiently waits for the trumpets to start blowing and an angel to appear before her because there’s no freaking way this is real life and not some weird coma dream she’s having mere seconds before death.
Seulgi’s snickering turns into full blown cackling and the girl behind her starts making obscene kissing noises. Jiwoo instantly snaps out of her weird day dream and glares at them, except she’s not very intimidating so it has the opposite of its intended effect. Seulgi turns around and starts making out with the girl behind her. She pulls away for a second just so she can mouth, “you and Haseul.”
“SEULGI AND SEUNGWAN! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TWO DOING!” Mr. Smith screams as soon as he spots the vulgar display in his classroom.
Seungwan shoves Seulgi off her and wipes her mouth. “Kissing. Duh.”
“Go out in the hallway. I need to talk to you two about proper school behavior.” Mr. Smith stands up and walks into the hallway. Seulgi and Seungwan follow him after a couple of seconds.
Jiwoo buries her face in her hands and cries.
“It’s okay. I’m sure you’ll find someone who you can disgustingly make out with in the middle of class soon,” Haseul says, awkwardly patting Jiwoo on the head.
But I don’t want someone to make out with me in the middle of class. I only want to make out with you!
Okay, so maybe it is a crush.
///
Jinsol avoids Jiwoo all day. She’s not in class when Jiwoo goes to look for her and completely vanishes from the cafeteria 3 minutes into lunch. It’s not subtle either, like Jiwoo is 100% certain she’s being avoided, so she decides to take some drastic measures.
It takes a good 15 minutes, but she finally manages to corner Jinsol in the fourth stall of the second floor girl’s bathroom (thank God it wasn’t a Tuesday).
“I need your help,” Jiwoo says.
“I’m not supposed to be talking to you,” Jinsol mutters, staring at a very uninteresting spot on the tile.“I promised Chaewon I wouldn’t associate with anyone on team Hyeju.”
“Well, this isn’t about Hyeju or Chaewon,” Jiwoo says. “It’s about me and my problems, which I have a lot of by the way! If this was about Hyewon, I wouldn’t have gone through all this trouble of cornering you in this stall.”
Jinsol looks around nervously and even peaks under the stall to make sure no one else is inside the bathroom. “Okay fine. I didn’t like avoiding you guys anyway, I just didn’t want to make Chaewon mad.”
Jiwoo lets out a sigh of relief. At least Jinsol’s still normal and not corrupted by the Hyewon breakup unlike a few people she could mention (Heejin and Yeojin). “My request might be a little bit weird,” Jiwoo begins.
“That’s fine, I’m used to it,” Jinsol says.
“I need you to help me stop having a crush on someone,” Jiwoo says. “It’s honestly kinda inconvenient, like I have to finish my soon to be Tony Award winning musical, Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical.”
Jinsol’s eyes instantly light up and her nervous demeanor from before basically vanishes. “You have a crush!! Who?? Is it someone I know? This is great news, Jiwoo! I always thought you were one of those weirdos who never felt romantic attraction and I’m so glad I was wrong!”
“First of all, it’s called being aromantic and there’s nothing wrong with that. And second of all, why would I tell you?? I have to keep it a secret if I want to get over it!” Jiwoo whispers.
“Jiwoo, you can like someone and still create a Tony Award winning musical,” Jinsol says. “I think you should confess! You’re pretty okay looking so as long as you’re not into the hottest girl in school, Jungeun Kim, you probably won’t get rejected!”
“But isn’t dating someone a lot of work?” Jiwoo asks.
Jinsol shrugs. “Depends on who you’re dating. I had no issues back when me and Vivi were going out, but ever since she broke up with me to run for student council president my relationships have sucked.”
“Even you and Sooyoung?” Jiwoo asks.
“Yeah, she was a pain to date. She was also cheating on me with the hottest girl in school, Jungeun Kim, the whole time anyway. That’s why I broke up with her sorry ass,” Jinsol says. “But back to you. Why don’t you wanna date mystery girl?”
“I guess I’m scared,” Jiwoo admits. “I don’t want us to end up like you and Sooyoung or you and Vivi or even Chaewon and Hyeju.”
“That’s a stupid reason,” Jinsol says. “Don’t you think I was scared of breaking up with Vivi when we went out? And don’t you think Chaewon and Hyeju were scared of breaking up when they were together? That’s normal, Jiwoo. Break ups are part of life, you literally can’t avoid them.”
“But I don’t want to ever break up with Haseul!” Jiwoo says. “I want her to be my girlfriend even once Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical wins its third Tony Award! And I want her to be my girlfriend once we’re old and wrinkly! I want her to be my girlfriend even if Chaewon stops making her shitty soundcloud rap or if Heejin and Hyunjin stop making out in random places or if Yeojin suddenly grows another foot!”
“Well, you can’t even see that future with Haseul if you don’t ask her out,” Jinsol says wisely. “So just do it. She’ll totally say yes considering she’s in love with you too.”
“HUH???”
///
“I think you should go for it,” Heejin says once she finishes her mouthful of pb&j.
“Same here,” Chaewon agrees.
Now, I’m sure you’re wondering why Chaewon is eating lunch with Jiwoo, Heejin, and Hyeju. Well, the answer to that is really simple. Jinsol called a friend group emergency and gathered everyone at their original lunch table to discuss Jiwoo’s dilemma.
Hyeju grunts and peels the cheese off her pizza lunchables.
“Haseul is totally gonna say yes!” Yerim says. “You should do a huge gesture! Like write a song for Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical about her!”
“Oh my god. Yerim, you’re a genius!” Yeojin says. “Writing songs for that stupid musical is like the only thing Jiwoo’s good at! It’s literally the perfect way to get Haseul to make out with you in the fourth stall of the second floor girl’s bathroom.”
“Hey, that’s me and Hyunjin’s spot!” Heejin shouts.
“Only on Tuesdays,” Jinsol corrects.
Chaewon stops watching Hyeju peel the cheese off her pizza to reveal her genius idea. “You should write a rap that has me featured on it about her. That’s how I confessed to Hyeju.”
“It’s also how you broke up with me,” Hyeju mutters. She balls up the peeled cheese and places it inside the empty section in her lunchables once dedicated to crackers.
Jinsol shushes Hyeju. “We can’t talk about break ups in front of Jiwoo! She wants to date Haseul until they’re old and wrinkly.”
“Ew, gross,” Yeojin says. “That’s so disgusting and sappy. I’m so glad I didn’t hear that gross rainbows and unicorns confession of love speech you gave to Jinsol.”
“IT WAS NOT GROSS!” Jiwoo shouts.
“I thought it was sweet,” Jinsol says.
Yeojin gags and kicks Jiwoo’s shins under the table.
“Speaking of gross and disgusting relationships,” Heejin says. “What’s up with Chaewon and Hyeju?”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Chaewon asks, raising an eyebrow.
“You guys are civil again, it’s weird.”
“Oh, we are nowhere near civil,” Chaewon says. “I haven’t even dropped my five song mini album detailing every stage of our relationship and my rage and hatred that came out of it.”
Yerim stops staring at Hyeju’s monstrosity of a pizza to give Chaewon the most concerned look she’s ever gotten in her entire life. “Are you okay?”
“Nope! Make sure to stream my new album!”
“I dare you to ask Haseul out in seventh period,” Yeojin says. “We’ll come and back you up.”
“But we have band seventh period?” Jinsol says.
“Exactly,” Yeojin says. “Jiwoo will write us a genius song and we’ll embarrass- I mean serenade Haseul in front of the whole class!”
“You’re evil,” Heejin says. “I’m in!”
Everyone else agrees to Yeojin’s devious plan, but Jiwoo’s still a little confused. Are they planning on skipping class so they can embarrass her in front of everyone? (Yes, they are.) “Wait, I don’t know if I’m okay with this plan…”
“Don’t be a baby, Jiwoo! It’ll go great!” Chaewon says. “Make sure to write a verse where I can rap or else I won’t feature you in my next single.”
“You have a week,” Hyeju says and menacingly stabs the ball of cheese with her plastic fork.
///
The week passes faster than Jiwoo expects, and she once again ends up in Mr. Park’s homeroom dreading what’s coming next. Hyeju pats her on the shoulder once she walks in, 5 minutes late, and takes her seat across the room. (Mr. Park had separated them after Hyeju interrupted the pledge 3 days ago by screaming “Include the fourth stall of the second floor girl’s bathroom in your song!”)
The class finishes saying the pledge and it’s time for a volunteer to lead the class in prayer. Mr. Park’s homeroom was notorious for skipping this, but for some reason he remembers and Jiwoo’s 3% more certain today is going to be a terrible day.
Sooyoung Ha’s hand shoots up. Mr. Park just sighs and says, “go ahead, Sooyoung.”
“This is dedicated to my girlfriend and the hottest girl in school, Jungeun Kim.” She bows her head and begins a weird version of a prayer. “Dear God, thank you for giving Jungeun the fattest badonkadonk in the entire school, even fatter than that girl I made out with in the fourth stall of the second floor girl’s bathroom last week. Also, thank you for giving the school a fourth stall in the second floor girl’s bathroom ‘cause I dunno what we’d do without it. Keep up the grind, and secure that bag. #sigma.”
“Praise Jesus,” Sooyoung’s friends from track say.
Mr. Park sighs. “I’m so close to quitting just so I can escape this hell.”
Everyone sits in silence, waiting for the hottest girl in school, Jungeun Kim, to leave the classroom, but she’s too busy making out with Sooyoung in front of the door.
“That prayer was so hot, babe,” Jungeun says.
“It was dedicated to you, shawty,” Sooyoung says. “I have a gift for you waiting in your locker, by the way.”
“OMG!” Jungeun squeals. “Are they the new Jordans I’ve been asking for!? Or is it the Dior perfume I wanted!?”
Sooyoung smirks. “Both.”
“I LOVE YOU!” Jungeun exclaims. She throws her arms around Sooyoung, who lifts her up and carries her out into the hallway.
“Love is in the air today,” Hyeju says, falling into step with Jiwoo as they exit the classroom. “I think the plan’s gonna work.”
“The only thing Yeojin’s stupid plan is gonna do is embarass me,” Jiwoo hisses.
Hyeju shrugs. “You never know. Maybe Haseul will be into that.”
“Gross,” Jiwoo says.
“You guys are totally gonna end up in the fourth stall of the second floor girl’s bathroom reading your stupid musical after it,” Hyeju says.
“And I’m gonna win six Tony Awards with her as my lead,” Jiwoo adds.
“Well, I dunno about six…”
///
It’s seventh period. Do or die time. Jiwoo paces in front of the classroom door trying to calm down. The entire song is perfect. The lyrics, the melody, even the shitty rap she wrote for Chaewon is perfect. Sooyoung’s prayer from homeroom suddenly returns to Jiwoo. “Keep up the grind and secure that bag,” Jiwoo whispers to herself. If the grind is singing that song and embarrassing herself in front of the entire class then the bag has to be Haseul. Yeah, she’s gonna confess and then she’s gonna dedicate an entire prayer in homerome to Haseul, just like stupid Sooyoung Ha.
Jiwoo takes a deep breath and pushes open the door to Mr. Smith’s class. She tries to act normal as she walks over to her seat and pulls out Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical.
“Did you write any more?” Haseul asks.
“Yeah, I wrote a new song,” Jiwoo says. “I’m not sure where it’ll fit in with the rest of the musical yet, though.”
“Oh! Can I see it?” Haseul asks.
Jiwoo hesitates, but before she can answer her phone buzzes with a text from none other than Yeojin:
fuck ass bob we’re here bitch
The door of Mr. Smith’s classroom slams open and in walks, Jinsol with her trumpet, Heejin with her violin, Hyeju and Yerim with a piano they totally stole from the choir room and wheeled all the way there, Chaewon with tinted sunglasses that have no place being worn indoors, and Yeojin with her tuba that’s bigger than her.
“What’s going on?” Mr. Smith asks.
“HASEUL CHO!” Chaewon screams. “THIS ONE'S FOR YOU! And from Jiwoo, not me.”
Jiwoo stands up and walks over to her friends and screams: “HASEUL! I WROTE YOU A SONG ‘CAUSE I’M IN LOVE WITH YOU OR WHATEVER!”
Yerim starts beatboxing and Hyeju sits at the stolen piano and begins the actually pretty good song Jiwoo wrote in a week.
The entire class sits in a mix of awe and shock because like, what the actual fuck is going on? It’s seventh period creative writing, not the school talent show! Mr. Smith doesn’t even try to stop Jiwoo and company’s performance because they’re lowkey eating ngl. Like, Chaewon devours her rap even though it’s actual garbage.
It ends almost as quickly as it begins and everyone sits in silence, until someone starts to clap. It’s none other than… Hyunjin Kim, the girl Heejin makes out with in random places. Slowly, everyone joins in, even Mr. Smith.
“So, Haseul, what do you say?” Jiwoo asks.
Haseul looks around the classroom at everyones stares. “I think we need to pay a visit to the fourth stall of the second floor girl’s bathroom, Jiwoo.” She says and winks
“HELL YEAH!” Yeojin screams. “MY PLAN TOTALLY WORKED!”
“What’s in the fourth stall of the second floor girl’s bathroom?” Mr. Smith asks.
Jiwoo beams and grabs Haseul’s hand. “Let’s go now, then.”
Haseul nods and the two girls walk out of the classroom.
“Wait, you guys can’t just leave,” Mr. Smith says. “We still have 35 minutes left of class.”
He gets up from his desk to go and chase them, but Seulgi stops him. “Nah man. It’s better they do it up there than in here. You already had to witness me and Seungwan, I don’t think you wanna witness part two.”
Mr. Smith sighs and sits back down. “Whatever, I don’t fucking care anymore. You kids just do whatever you want anyway.”
///
“I’d like to lead today’s prayer, Mr. Park,” Jiwoo says.
“Really?” Mr. Park asks. “Well, I think I speak for everyone when I say I’m very excited to hear what you have prepared.”
Jiwoo stands up and bows her head. “This one’s dedicated to my super hot girlfriend, Haseul Cho. Dear Jesus or God or whatever. Thanks for giving me a smoking hot girlfriend who totally deserves to be on the list of the top 5 hottest girls at school. Also, thanks for making Chaewon and Hyeju break up ‘cause if you didn’t I’d totally still be in denial about this whole thing. You rule. Jesus is king for real.”
“Jesus is king,” Sooyoung and all her track friends say.
Mr. Park stands in the front of the classroom in shock. He can’t believe Jiwoo Kim, a model student, would dare pull some weird prayer shenanigans only Sooyoung Ha would do!
“That was so beautiful, Jiwoo,” Cassie says. “I can totally feel your love for Haseul from that prayer. But, how did y’all even end up together from Chaewon and Hyeju breaking up?”
“Because God loves lesbians,” Jiwoo says and wipes a tear from her eyes. “He fucking loves us.”
Epilogue: 30 years later <3
Chaewon and Hyeju end up getting married. Turns out the temporary breakup back in junior year of highschool only made their bond stronger when they inevitably got back together. Chaewon released an entire album about her longing to get back together with Hyeju that was so moving Hyeju just had to say yes. The two live happily in a villa in West Hollywood, California.
Jinsol’s ex, Vivi, gets back together with her, then breaks up with her again because of her aspirations of becoming president of the United States. Vivi gets elected and makes straight marriage illegal in the US, making it the first country in history to criminalize heterosexuality.
Cassie becomes the successful host of reality TV show: “So You’re A BackStabbing Hoe.” A show dedicated to girls like Cassie from Euphoria who end up betraying their Maddys. If you ever betray your bestie and hook up with her ex, just give Cassie’s show a call and she’ll have you come on to fix your pathetic excuse for a life.
Yeojin ends up in prison for attempted murder, first degree murder, and tax fraud. She gets out on parole 3 years after her sentencing for good behavior and reunites with Yerim, who’s her parole officer. Yeojin pushes her life of crime behind her and when her sentence ends, moves into Yerim’s studio apartment where they currently live.
The hottest girl in school, Jungeun Kim, breaks up with Sooyoung as soon as they graduate highschool. She moves to Europe where she becomes a famous model known simply as “the hottest girl.”
Sooyoung wins 17 olympic gold medals and becomes one of the most athletic and rich women in the entire world. She never finds true love, though, and spends the rest of her life alone with her 3 cats and 12 dogs.
Heejin and Hyunjin continue to make out in random places and are very much in love. They move to a nice house in New Jersey and adopt 2 kids, a dog, and a hamster named Steven.
Jinsol works as Jiwoo’s manager for her career as a world famous playwright. She can usually be found running around New York City trying to find a coffee shop that’s able to make Jiwoo’s usual order.
Seungwan joins Jiwoo Kim’s production of her hit musical, Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical, and stuns the audience with her beautiful interpretation of Chrissy, the final girl. She gives a performance to rival Haseul Cho, the original actress of Chrissy, herself.
Seulgi continues to support Seungwan and is currently pursuing a career in art. (she’s not very good)
Mr. Smith and Mr. Park eventually confess their feelings for eachother and have a beautiful wedding on the shores of Lake Michigan.
Jiwoo and Haseul move into a large apartment in Manhattan where Jiwoo writes multiple Tony Award winning musicals and Haseul practices for Tony Award winning musicals she’s in. Slaughter Beach Murder House Camp: The Musical is an immediate success and wins a whopping 36 Tony Awards, the majority of which were given while Haseul played Chrissy. The two plan on getting married in the spring.
And as for the fourth stall of the second floor girls bathroom, it’s demolished. Just like the rest of the high school. In its place, the town builds a statue of none other than President Vivi Wong, the town’s pride and joy.
