Cyan huffed, rolling over once again, laying awake, ignoring the screaming downstairs.
Another fight.
Letting out a sigh, Cyan rolled over again, staring up at the ceiling.
Their thick hair falling over their eyes, wearing one of Green’s sweaters. The sleeves tugged over their hands, the hood pulled up over Cyan’s headphones to try and block out the shouting downstairs.
Turning again as ‘Spectra’ played in their ears, Cyan sat up, before sliding off their bed, tugging their shoes on before creeping over to the window and slotting it open. Climbing out onto the roof, Cyan reached up, grasping onto the secondary roof and pulling themselves up.
After scraping their knees, Cyan clung to the roof tiles, before getting comfy, laying on their back. Staring up at the stars. Music playing in their ears.
A dull comfort.
Cyan hummed, staring up.
…
They liked it out here.
It was quiet.
It was calm.
The shouting was audible, but not as much as it was.
They heaved out a sigh.
They were okay.
Cyan had to be okay.
