Chapter Text
Terrence has been a leader of the Toppat clan for years, he was reckless, launching raids just for the thrill, and Reginald who was once his best friend got fed up with his way of doing things
Reginald, Terrence, Right Hand Man and few other elite members were sitting in the Meeting room, it was pretty dark, only noise was some quiet chatter of few Elite members and Airship propellers from the outside
"You should plan, you can't just launch raids because you feel like it, we are losing many members!" Reginald spoke, his voice loud, he was angry, fed up and tired of the way things have been for the last few years
"There are costs for the greater good of the clan, you might not understand it now, Reggie, but you soon will" Terrence spoke, grinning, holding his cigar, cigar smoke making his face less visible
"what greater good?! you have lost yourself, Terry, you are not the man I knew" Reginald spoke, his eyes filled with despair as he spoke, he was disappointed and angry at his former best friend
"oh please don't be ridiculous! I know perfectly fine what I am doing and I won't let anyone stop me" Terrence spoke, with a vicious smile, taking a look at Reginald
"please, I just want my best friend back, you have changed, this power has changed you" Reginald desperately spoke, trying to knock some sense into Terrence's head
"have you thought that maybe you're the problem, and not me?" Terrence spoke, still looking at Reginald
"you used to be loyal member, now you're somebody else, you no longer care about our members, you just keep launching pointless raids, you don't even know what you're doing!" Reginald started, Terrence was silent, smoking his cigar
"I will stop you, even if it means killing you!" Reginald continued after few moments
"you make me laugh, you are weak, Reggie, you always were, I always saw you as my younger brother and protected you and that's what I get back!?" Terrence said, his voice raising as he spoke
"I appreciate you protecting me, but you don't need to, I am perfectly capable of living on my own!" Reginald spoke, and with that Terrence left, Reginald felt defeated, he was unable to bring his former best friend to senses
weeks have passed, Terrence continued launching illogical raids purely for the thrill, he had no idea what was coming for him, Reginald has been secretly plotting alongside other members on how to take him down, Reginald and his followers knew that Terrence wasn't going to change and if he continued like this, it wouldn't be good for the clan, they lost so many members already
Terrence was walking around the Airship, with hands behind his back, Reginald and few of his followers followed Terrence, waiting for a location where they could surround him, making him unable to escape nor defend himself
And when he entered Viewing Deck, looking over at land below, seeing himself as a god, Reginald and others surrounded him, everyone pulling their guns and pointing them at Terrence
Terrence was left shocked, betrayed, he couldn't believe what he was seeing, his former best friend pointing a gun at him
"w-what are you doing" Terrence spoke, his voice breaking and filled with despair
"saving the clan, Terry" Reginald spoke, no expression of his face, he knew it was wrong to betray his former best friend like that but he knew he had to do it for the sake of the clan
Terrence made a step forward and with that, one of Reginald's followers shot him in the shoulder, making him fall over the deck, Terrence didn't even have time to pull out his golden gun
"you were not supposed to shoot him yet!" Reginald turned to his follower and said
Reginald slowly took few steps forward, trying to see any sign of Terrence
"he's dead" Reginald said after he confirmed that there was no sign of him, his voice and eyes filled with sadness, he was sad that it had to end this way but he didn't have a choice
With that, Reginald was made the leader of the Toppat clan with Right Hand Man as his second in command, months have passed and there was still no sign of Terrence, they have moved on, they still decided to keep his image in the hall of portraits, just out of respect, despite his terrible leadership
Reginald completely changed the clan for the better, every raid and attack was planned, and now there were far more successful raids than there were during Terrence's reign
Reginald despite everything, still felt a pain in his heart, he couldn't recover from having to murder his best friend, even though it has saved lives that would otherwise be lost in countless raids Terrence would launch if his reign continued
"is there a chance he could be alive?" Right Hand Man asked Reginald who was looking out of the window of Cockpit
Reginald was silent, thinking, and then turning to his second in command
"wait, didn't he have a propeller in his top hat, like the rest of the leaders and important members of the clan" Reginald asked, worried about the possibility of him being alive
"he must've, everyone before him did" Right Hand Man spoke
"I don't know whenever he's dead, he was shot in the shoulder, there is a high chance of him surviving" Reginald said, thinking of all the possibilities of him surviving, he was worried he might come back for revenge
"is he alive?"
(My OCs will appear in this story from this point onwards, most notably Jane Williams, Hannah Williams and Luna Jacobs)
(A/N: This fanfic I'm writing might look nothing like the actual Attacking the Tower since it is not out yet at the time of me writing it, so yeah)
After Terrence was dethroned and Reginald took over the clan, he still had a feeling Terrence might be alive and after him, he was fearing for his life every day, because if Terrence was back he would have no mercy towards Reginald.
Terrence was left wounded on the ground, after lightly falling on the land because he had a propeller in his top hat like every leader has
He quickly dialed the number of a friend of his, who happened to be a doctor helping criminals, his name was Liam
Liam appeared as soon as he could to Terrence's location and managed to stop the bleeding and stitch him up
"thank you" Terrence spoke, still angry and trying to process everything that happened, he couldn't believe Reginald could do such thing to him
"may I ask what happened to you" Liam asked
"you know the Toppats? My clan, right? Well, my former best friend Reginald, you know him, decided to be an asshole and betray me like I was nothing" Terrence spoke, his eyes full of hatred
"that's fucking assholic, I never liked Reginald and thought of him as a snobby asshole, but this is next level" Liam spoke
"I know, right, I can't believe he is such an asshole and I will murder that motherfucker, I don't care if it's the last thing I do" Terrence spoke, staring into the distance of the fields he landed on
Liam and Terrence continued talking and they came to an agreement to form a criminal gang, they had to plan on how to get members, assets and everything to be able to one day go against the Toppat clan, he knew he couldn't do it alone, he needed help
He was able to get into contact with some Toppat members who believed in him and would be on his side, some of them who have already left the Toppats and some who are still in the clan
And with that he founded, The Towergang, after many robberies he got enough money and people to build a tower. It still wasn't nowhere near enough to go against such a large criminal syndicate like the Toppat clan. He didn't want anyone to know that he was a former Toppat leader to risk someone letting Reginald know, he called himself the Towerhead, and ordered the former Toppats who followed him to not reveal to anyone that he is actually Terrence Suave
Despite his reckless personality and addiction to adrenaline, he did his best to avoid getting caught, he didn't want government to have anything that could incriminate them
He spent most of his time launching missions and raids, to be able to expand his Tower and recruit more members, to one day be able to go after Toppats, get his revenge on Reginald, whom he saw as his younger brother and best friend, and then betrayed him in such a cruel way, he still thought his ways of doing things were right, but to avoid getting caught by the Government, he was trying his best to keep their existence a secret.
He could not risk Reginald knowing they're after him and the Toppat clan
He also tried to get into contact his former Right Hand Lady, Hannah Williams, the only person that was always by his side, who agreed with his way of leading the clan, his closest friend. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't able to get into contact with her, he tried calling her with no avail, no response, nothing.
He was miserable, he thought two of them would make a great gang, he couldn't believe she would just ghost him like this, despite him being an asshole, he knew she had a child, and that the child was his.
He never wanted to have a child, he thought that would ruin his image in the clan when he was still the leader. He realized he was in the wrong, but it was too late to fix things.
Years passed, he was still doing the usual, expanding the gang, recruiting members, gaining more assets and everything
"I will need you to track down someone for me" Towerhead spoke, his voice calm, hands behind is back, looking out of the window of the Tower
"who is it?" his Lieutenant asked, confused from the sudden question
"A woman by the name of Jane Williams, she could be a valuable asset to us" Towerhead spoke, talking about his daughter, he couldn't face her mother Hannah so he decided to try to get Jane on his side
"do you have any other information on that Jane Williams" his Lieutenant asked
"she is ginger, a criminal and very skilled" he said, still looking out of the window, his voice calm
"I'll try to track her down and bring her to you" his Lieutenant answered, nodding in agreeing to complete the task he was given
Days passed, Towerhead was at the top floor of the Tower, his hands behind his back, looking out of the window, waiting for his second in command to be back. He was alone, it was insanely quiet, he was thinking of what to do next
should I tell her the truth?
no, there's no way she would forgive me for that, she also might join Toppats just in spite
I'll act like the only reason is because she is skilled, no one can know the truth!
"ngh Let me go you dipshit" Jane grunted, her hands locked with handcuffs behind her back, being held by Towerhead's second in command
"welcome, Jane Williams" Terrence turned around to look at Jane
"what the fuck do you want from me?" Jane spoke
"let her go now!" Towerhead angrily said at the sight of his daughter being held forcefully
And with that Jane was uncuffed, as soon as her hands were free she lit up her cigarette, and demanded answers
"who even are you?" Jane spoke
"We are the Towergang- The BIGGEST and BADDEST group there is!" Terrence spoke confidently
"why did you kidnap me?" Jane continued with her questions and took a puff from her Sobranie cigarette
"We have noticed you, you are extremely skilled and we thought you could be a valuable member of the Towergang" Terrence continued, walking around the Tower, his hands behind his back, with a grin on his face and confidence in his eyes
"And why exactly should I help you?" Jane spoke, putting out her cigarette on the ashtray that was on the table
"money" Towerhead said
"fair enough" Jane said
