Work Text:
Kuina, Ann thinks, is like a snowflake.
Because Kuina is free.
That's what she seemed to Ann from the very beginning, and that hasn't changed. Kuina is free from the restrains society tried to force on her. She's free because she chose to be, she's free because she decided that's what she wants to be. Free to live and laugh and be her most genuine self.
Because Kuina is beautiful.
She’s pretty and she’s strong and she radiates happiness with everything she does, takes all that life throws at her in stride, meets it head on and with an outlook so positive and confident it takes Ann's breath away sometimes.
Because Kuina is fun.
Her eyes are shining, and her laughter is loud and carefree, filling up the room to the brim with joy. She's fun to go out and do things with, she's fun staying in and just existing with, her very being makes every day better and brighter and exciting like that.
Because Kuina dances.
She dances in clubs, her body close to Ann's, sensual and alluring and beautiful. She dances during fights, strong and quick and always moving, evading her opponent so quickly that to Ann, it seems as easy as breathing. She dances through life as well, like water dances downstream to meet the sea, finding its way there no matter what.
Because Kuina is unique.
Just as every snowflake you see is unique, if you look at it under a microscope, with a one-of-a-kind look and unrivaled beauty, Kuina is as well. Ann sees a new Kuina every time she looks at her, changed and formed by her experiences and by the people around her and by her wish to be more, to be better.
And just as she does with every snowflake, Ann falls in love with Kuina every day anew.
