Work Text:
Nico laid on her bed, still fully dressed and looking up at the ceiling. She’s still thinking about Lady, and the night they had. Her smooth skin, the taste of her lips, her curves, everything. She felt anxious, and the thought of not being with her was unbearable. She looked out the window to the view of a beautiful sunset, which reminded her of Lady.
Suddenly, she heard a knock at her door. She cleared her thoughts, got up, and walked to the door. She cracked it slightly to see who it was, and to her surprise, it’s Lady. “O-Oh hi there, um…” She fully opened the door, showing herself fully.
“Did I catch you at a bad time?” Lady asked, seeing how nervous Nico was getting. “N-No, it’s just… I’m still thinking…” She paused for a few seconds. “I’m still thinking about what happened… that night.” The gunsmith replied, feeling a slight amount of embarrassment. “Was it that good?” Lady laughed. “Can I come in?”
“Sure.” Nico welcomed Lady into her home. Nico lived in a small but cozy rustic cabin, all with her own flare, like framed weapons and a few non-functional devil breakers. “Nice place.” Lady spoke, admiring all of the decorations.
“You want a drink?” Asked Nico, making her way to the kitchen. “Water, please.” Lady replied, sitting down on the couch. The gunsmith makes a cup of coffee, and then grabs a water bottle from her fridge. She walks over to Lady and hands her the bottle, then sits down next to her.
She took a sip of her coffee as Lady cracked open the water bottle. She could tell Nico was still nervous, seeing how much she was stuttering when she answered the door. “Are you doing okay?” Lady asked, taking a sip of water afterwards while looking at her. “I guess I’m just… nervous. Everything happened so fast that I couldn’t handle it all that well.” Replied the gunsmith. “I’m happy to be with you now and all that, but something in my gut is telling me that something’s wrong.”
“I get it. I kinda wish I had approached you differently.” Lady said as she took another sip of water, then placed it on the coffee table in front of her. “Then again, I could tell you enjoyed it, so I don’t regret it.” Nico chuckled slightly as she took a sip of her coffee. Lady gently placed her hand onto Nico’s thigh, rubbing it with her thumb. “You’re the best mechanic I have ever laid my eyes upon. I love you, so damn much.” The gunsmith smirked and leaned towards Lady, gently kissing her on the lips.
Before Nico could say anything else, she heard her telephone ring. “Dammit. Give me a sec.” She said as she got up and answered the phone. “Hello?” The voice of Nero came through the phone. “Hey, have you seen Lady at all today? I tried to call her, but she hasn’t answered her phone in over an hour.” Nico looked over at Lady, who was taking another sip of her water. “Uhhh, yeah, I’m lookin’ right at her.” Responded the gunsmith, smirking. “The hell’s she doing at your place?” Asked Nero, sounding confused. “Why do you wanna know? What do you need from her anyway?” Nico answered, sounding slightly annoyed.
Before Nero could answer, Nico interrupted him. “Y’know what? She’s busy right now, so call back later.” She slammed the phone onto the hook, hanging up on the Devil Hunter. “Who was that?” Asked Lady, looking over at the gunsmith. “Just some crybaby.” She responded, smirking again. She walked over to Lady and gently laid down on top of her. Their eyes locked, admiring each other’s beauty. They shared another kiss, and they cuddled until they eventually fell asleep.
