William had long noticed that there was something wrong with his boyfriend, when he had gone silent, ever since in the morning, but his lover had reassure him to go to work either way.
-“Allen, are you sure... You're okay?” He tried asking, once returning his day shift, at the office, as he hesitantly turned the knob to his boyfriend's room while waiting for pen to tap once for no, and two for yes.
Eventually he heard Allen tapping twice, as he sighed in relief, as he opened his lover's door up, to find him curled up against the bed.
They had some time ago, created a mutual secret code, to let each other know whether or not to enter each other's rooms, mostly due to his own lack of boundaries, in the past.
-“Allen... Starlight?” He softly asked him, as he approached his side and sat right beside him. -“Are you okay..?”
Allen just gave a silent nod, all while William, then gently caressed his hair.
-“It is.. one of those days, again... Sweetheart?” William had then asked him softly while gently stroking his dark hair as Allen, just grunted in silence, as a way to say, yes.
-“that's okay” He then said softly, just as Allen, felt soft and warm arms hugging his waist from behind. -“I'll hold you, as longest you need, snowflakes..” He then softly whispered against his back, while hugging him close, against himself.
After a while, Allen, then changed their positions, as he curled into William's arms, as his boyfriend gently held him, and didn't say a word, even as he began crying silently, as his boyfriend's warm hands gently ran against his hair gently.
-“i'm sorry- I just... I don't know, why.. I feel like this..” Allen then mumbled quietly, against his boyfriend's chest, as William just gently hugged him close and kissed his head.
-“that's okay, popsicle...” he then heard him softly mumble, as usual ; patient and loving, as ever. -“I can just hold you, all day, as longest you need, honey...” William then softly mumbled. -“we can just stay here, and cuddle, for as longest, you need it, without having to worry, about anything else” He then softly told, Allen, as he whispered other words of soft reassurances, into his ear, as Allen smiled softly and tiredly.
-“yeah, sure... That sounds nice..” Allen then said, after a while, as he curled up, against his lover's chest, as William held him, as he smiled against his chest, as his boyfriend, did his best, that he could, to make him feel better, as he sighed lovingly, as William gently kissed his face all over.
At least, he had someone to be there for him, who loved and cared about him, even while he struggled to feel okay, on some days, despite his struggles with showing much emotion, at all, sometimes. And he loved, his sunshine, for that.
