Emolgabrine's Minecraft Story Plans

Summary:

I don't know if I'm gonna finish the fics I'm planning to write, so I'm sharing the plots and plans for them here.

Work Text:

So. As you can tell, I have not updated Steve and Alex: A Minecraft Story in over a year again.

The reason why is because I was considering canceling it. I got stressed thinking about working on it after some time and barely get any comments whenever I post it anywhere, which killed my motivation for a while.

But I have decided to write for myself and not cancel it. Minecraft won't leave my mind and I can't stop thinking about the story again so yes. I will continue my story.

However, another thing that was stressing me out was not being able to finish the story and share my ideas. So that's why I'm writing this! This is how I'm planning the stories to go. Keep in mind I don't have much of the finer details planned yet, but I do have a lot of world building. These will basically the summaries of what I want to happen in them, and what I've been building off of.

So lets get into it!

Steve and Alex: A Minecraft Story

For this one, it's set in 1.8. Steve meets Alex for the first time. He sees she doesn't know much about how to survive, so he decides to let her live with him and teach her how to survive.

Alex makes a bunch of dumb mistakes, but gets pretty excited over seeing the world. Steve first teaches her how to get wood. Unknown to both of them, they're being watched by Herobrine, who thinks he isn't happy about Steve training her.

Steve and Alex come across an abandoned village and stay there for the night. However, they are woken up by a horde of monsters. Another person who's watching Steve and Alex instructs Alex about how to use a bow that was left in one of the chests. After a few tries, Alex gets a hang of it, but her aim could use some working on.

Unknown to Steve and Alex, Herobrine summoned this horde. He thinks he wants Steve and Alex dead.

Steve and Alex proceed to go to Steve’s main home. Herobrine sets it on fire and the duo make it out before they get trapped. Herobrine attempts to ambush them, but is stopped by Warriorbrine, the other one following Steve and Alex, as well as Steve’s old friend. She beats Herobrine in battle by outsmarting him And helps put out the fire. She doesn't stay for much longer but gives them five spruce tree saplings, wishing for their safety before disappearing again.

Steve teaches Alex how to find food and farm crops, and then takes her fishing. Herobrine secretly watches them.

Herobrine has conflicting emotions about Alex's growth. He wants to be proud, but he gets a massive headache which changes his opinion and gets very pissed off.

Steve teaches Alex how to mine. He teaches her about each ore and which type of pickaxe to use to break them. Herobrine takes this as an opportunity to put some diamonds in the cave when Alex is alone and hides behind them. They're higher than where diamonds actually spawn, but Alex falls for it anyway due to being new to the world. Herobrine kidnaps her.

Steve finds a sign right as Warriorbrine alerts to him that Alex had been taken hostage. Steve quickly goes back home to get good gear and food and goes back down into the cave, quickly finding where Herobrine is, with Alex trapped in a cage beside him.

Herobrine and Steve fight. Herobrine manages knock Steve down and teleports away with him. Alex panics, but someone grabs her and teleports back to the house.

Alex almost fights back but finds a tired Warriorbrine instead. Warriorbrine helps Alex calm down and tells her that she'll help train her how to fight. Alex makes a promise that she will save Steve.

If you're reading this, I have removed the happy ending tag from the fic, as this isn't exactly a happy ending. But don't worry! This is based off a Minecraft movie I watched as a kid on YouTube. I'm trying to keep it similar. A difference between the movie and my rewrite is that Warriorbrine was not present at all, nor did Steve have much of a backstory. Also, Herobrine was clearly evil in the movie, something which will be subverted in this series.

Revengeance

We start off with Steve in a cage in the End. Herobrine is using his power to make the cage indestructible, so Steve can't punch his way out. Herobrine actually seems to feel bad about trapping him and having to fight his two creations, but quickly changes his mind when he gets a massive headache, with Null telling him that what they are doing is right.

Meanwhile Alex and Warriorbrine have been training hard. They had collected more diamonds to make another set of armor but still haven't gotten around to enchanting it yet. They're exploring, with and making a trail to the nearest stronghold and the portal.

Throughout the way, Warriorbrine shows Alex how to fight, how to use potions to her advantage and tells her about the End and the dragon's weaknesses. Alex questions why Herobrine would take Steve to the End and Warriorbrine responds that without guidance, the dragon would easily be able to kill Alex.

After they find the stronghold and the portal, they go back home. They collect food, craft golden apples, brew healing potions, collect ender pearls and a water bucket. They head to the Nether to fight blazes for their rods, but before they head back, Herobrine spawns a Wither however, and the duo have to fight it. With the two of them teaming up, Warriorbrine is left weak at the end of the fight after using too much power, which allows Herobrine to capture her too. Warriorbrine tries to escape, but Herobrine’s powers shock her and prevent the use of her own powers inside the cage, rendering her attempts to escape useless.

Alex, wanting both of her friends back, brews the strength potions and enchants her chestplate and bow. She fights many monsters while heading back to the stronghold, but refuses to stop. She fights and defeats the dragon, which forces Herobrine to show himself to her.

It is here that Herobrine confirms that he created Alex too, making her as a replacement for Warriorbrine after she had gone against his commands. Herobrine offers Alex to join him in exchange for her life, but Alex chooses to fight him to free her friend and sister.

Throughout the fight, Herobrine realizes that he has his limits and that he used too much power to keep Steve and Warriorbrine from escaping the cage. This allows Alex to guide him to the edge during the fight and kick him off the island. Because she hadn't gotten a chance to rest since leaving home and had partially been running on adrenaline, Alex collapses on the ground and passes out.

When she wakes up, she finds herself at home, the building now fully repaired and even upgraded in some places. She finds Steve and Warriorbrine outside, who are happy to see her awake and hug her, Steve commenting about how proud he is of her.

Alex suggests Villapura as a new name for Warriorbrine, who happily accepts it. Villapura then warns Steve and Alex that there are a couple threats still out there, and they'll have to be prepared to fight them.

In the original movie, Alex was mentored by a villager who died after the battle with the Wither. I decided to cut this part out and have Villapura mentor her instead. I also cut out the part where Alex went to the ocean monument to get the gold, as she did not have to fight anything in there so it felt pointless to keep it in. Yes, Herobrine creating Alex was part of the original movie, although for different reasons. Also again, Herobrine was blatantly evil in the movie with no motivations other than take over Minecraft. There's nothing wrong with that, but I changed that for reasons you are about to see.

I forgot to mention when I first wrote this, but ice-block on Tumblr is the one who came up with the name Villapura. I decided to make that her new name after Herobrine’s defeat because I liked it.

Redemption

I actually don't have a proper body for this story yet, but I have plenty of ideas.

Now, the reason why I toned down Herobrine’s evilness is because this story is about him redeeming himself, which would not have worked if he was an irredeemable piece of shit like the way I originally wrote him.

I want this story to be slice of life mixed in with action about Herobrine redeeming himself with the help of Hatsune Miku. When me and my sister were writing this, it was in reference to the Miku created Minecraft memes that were everywhere at the time. I need to come up with a good explanation for why Miku will be here, but I want to keep her because her upbeat friendly personality clashes with Herobrine’s early rude seemingly aggressive behavior at the start of the story.

In this story, we learn Herobrine was not actually evil, but manipulated by Entity 303 and Null because they wanted to use him for his power. He actually helped Villapura escape from their grasp, even if it meant he would still be under their control. We clearly see how much Herobrine really cares for Alex and Villapura, completely turning on 303 and Null when he finds out they hurt Villapura behind his back. Herobrine has trouble processing the true intentions of his ex friends.

We also learn more about Steve’s backstory. How he used to be a young boy with two dads and a few friends. His name used to be Severn, and his friends were Aulouru, Rana, and her brother Sapo. A disaster struck that killed Steve along with his loved ones, with Steve getting reincarnated into Minecraft.

I wanted to reference the Minecraft betas and the human characters in those betas, which is why I came up with the backstory. I also noticed how similar I made Rana and Villapura, so I decided to make Villapura Rana's reincarnation. Sapo was created by myself, originally intended to be who Alex was reincarnated from, but I scrapped that and just kept the character.

At the end of the story, Entity 303 and Null are both killed for good, never to return. Like I said, this story is a heavy work in progress and it's actually the only one that isn't based on a YouTube movie.

Again, I'm not gonna cancel the stories I'm writing. I'm just glad to share my ideas here and I do honestly have fun whenever I work on the stories. When will I finish them and will they ever be finished at all? I dunno.

Thank you so much for reading this! Have a good day!
