Chapter Text

Dazai Osamu is dead. He had finally committed a successful suicide. He had managed to drown himself in the river by tying two large rocks to his body before throwing himself in.

The news Mori shared had shocked Chuuya. “Dead? How could Dazai be dead? Dazai couldn’t die. Dazai doesn’t DO dead!” Chuuya thinks to himself. He stands there, still processing the news. “Is this some cruel joke?

”You are dismissed,” Mori said. Mori seems to be thinking about something. He had just lost one of his best pieces, Dazai. “What a shame,” Mori muttered.

Chuuya felt light as a feather, not because of his ability though. He just isn’t working right now. He’s angry. He’s mad at Dazai. He’s mad at himself. How could he let this happen? Chuuya barely registers that he is walking. He walks to his home. He’s in a daze that not even Kōyō’s greeting could snap him out of.

Empty is the best word to describe how he feels.

How would Chuuya cope with this? Alcohol. Red wine, to be specific. Red wine and rice. How could Dazai be dead though? It just doesn’t make sense. Dazai isn’t meant to succeed. He’s not suppose to leave Chuuya.
