Chapter Text

Three weeks had passed since Wooyoung's rut and the whole Kim Pack met Mingi.

Everything went back to normal after Wooyoung's rut ended so Mingi went back to his dorm(he misses the heating system that Kim Pack's house guest room had especially when the nights get even more cold than the days) and he continued to hang out with his friends but this time it changed who was with who.

Except for the three last ones he met: Hongjoong, Yunho and Wooyoung.

He hadn't got to see them again and he didn't have courage to ask about them since he only really talked a bit with them and they may not like him(Mingi ignores that Wooyoung didn't want to leave him when they met, he convinced himself that it was just the pre-rut talking and the younger alpha wanting to feel colder since ruts/heats made alphas and omegas feel too warm).

So, yes, everything was back to normal until one evening after he was done studying he received a notification saying he was added to a new group chat

Choi San created a new chat

Choi San changed the chat's name to Sannie & Minnie(+Sannie's Mates)

Choi San changed his name to Sannie

San added Song Mingi, Choi Jongho, Jeong Yunho and 4 more people to the chat

Sannie changed Song Mingi's name to Minnie

Sannie changed Kim Hongjoong's name to Hyung

Sannie changed Park Seonghwa's name to Hwa

Sannie changed Jeong Yunho's name to Yunnie

Sannie changed Kang Yeosang's name to Sangie

Sannie changed Jung Wooyoung's name to Youngie

Sannie changed Choi Jongho's name to Jjongie

Sannie: Hi!

Youngie: Sannie!

Sangie: ...A new chat?

Hwa: Why did you create a new chat?

Hyung: I am also curious about that

Sannie: I decided to create this chat so we could all get to know better the angel that is my best friend, Song Mingi

Minnie: ...What?

Jjongie: Oh! Mingi-hyung, do you have Friday's afternoon free? I will be unable to go to the office Saturday so if you are free, you can come Friday to organize the papers

Minnie: Hmmm, I think I may be. I have dance as my last class and Hyunsik-ssi has told me that I am only allowed to go to his classes to watch for now since the days have been very cold

Sangie: Is your back hurting again?

Yunnie: You mentioned something about your back hurting during the colder times when we met, if I remember correctly

Minnie: Yeah, it does but it only is discomfortable and annoying most of the time

Hwa: And the rest of the time?

Minnie: ...I hope the pain medicine works so I can sleep

Sannie: Why didn't you tell me?! I would have brought something to help you!

Minnie: I have dealt with this for years, San, so I am already used to it and it is just another part of my life

Minnie: Besides there really isn't much that you can do to help

Hwa: If you want, you can stay at our home again. I don't think I like knowing you are in pain and all alone

Jjongie: There really isn't anything that could help you? Have you seen a doctor about it?

Minnie: Thanks, Seonghwa-hyung but there is no need for that

Minnie: Hyunsik-ssi made sure all his students were seen by a trusted doctor to make sure none of us had problems and the doctor said that I could only be careful especially in the colder times

Jjongie: ...I don't like it but whenever you are in the office I will make sure the temperature is high enough to help you and have some blankets for you there

Hyung: Don't be afraid to ask us to stay the night at our home, none of us will mind it

Youngie: Oh! You also have Hyunsik-ssi as your teacher?! Yeonjun, one of my best friends, also has him as his teacher!

Minnie: You don't need to do it but thanks

Minnie: I will keep it in mind, Hongjoong-ssi

Minnie: ...Yeonjun? I think Hyunsik-ssi mentioned him before

Youngie: Yep! I'm sure Yeonjun will adore you too if you guys ever meet each other!

Sannie: Stop taking all of Minnie's attention to you, Younggie! You were already lucky enough to get so close to his scent gland!

Minnie: ...E-eh?!

Hyung: CHOI SAN!

Hwa: CHOI SAN!

Sannie: Don't 'CHOI SAN!' me! I only told the truth!

Sannie: If someone should have that privilege it should be me since I have known him for the longest time!

Youngie: It wasn't like I planned it!

Youngie: ...Mingi's scent is just so refreshing that my alpha just wanted to be surrounded by it...

Minnie: ...Your alpha found my scent refreshing?!

Jjongie: Why are you surprised, Mingi-hyung?

Minnie: Ah, no one has ever said that about my scent so...it is quite surprising to hear that, especially from other alpha

Sangie: Really? I would have thought you would have been very popular in high school

Minnie: Hahaha, not really

Minnie: I was pretty much the awkward nerdy kid

Yunnie: I can see that, you give a very soft vibe when you meet someone

Hyung: Agreed

Minnie: Thanks?

Hwa: They are complimenting you, Mingi.

Sannie: And only saying the truth!

Minnie: I have to go now! I need to go work on some projects and my homework

Sangie: Good luck, Mingi

Hyung: Certain two mates of mine could learn from you

Youngie: But it is so boring!

Sannie: Yeah!

Jjongie: I'm still surprised on how they made it into university

Sangie: Me too

Sannie: Hey!

Youngie: Hwa-hyung! They are being mean to us!

Hwa: Stop being mean to them...even if it is the truth

Youngie: Hwa-hyung!

Sannie: Hyung!

Mingi continued to watch them chatting for a few more minutes as he digested the talk he just had with them before putting his phone down.

It was hard to believe what they had told him.

He still remembered how his own mother said that his scent was horrible and that no one would ever like it since it made people feel cold instead of warm.

...Maybe Wooyoung's alpha had only liked it because he was in pre-rut and was looking for something that would help him calm down and not feel so warm.

Yeah, that must be it. There is no other explanation for him to like Mingi's scent.

Because his scent and him being too submissive were the reason why he wasn't popular during the time he was still in Incheon.

Him presenting as an alpha was just the catalyst needed for things to go worse with his family but he was actually a bit happy he also didn't present as an omega since he was sure he would just be used as a bargain chip to get connections from someone powerful(even when they thought he was an omega, his parents and brother treated him with disdain because he was still too submissive for what was needed for an omega marrying someone high in the food chain) or he would end up being...raped by one of his bullies since Mingi was simply something to be used for their entertainment and nothing more(he tried not think how it would have been if he had presented as a beta, he still remembered his cousin who presented as one and how he looked so tired and lifeless since then).

Really, Mingi may have been bullied and treated like shit for not fitting the traditional view of an alpha but he was thankful for it since thanks to that he had the possibility of coming to Seoul University of Arts and meeting San and his mates.

"...Don't think about that, Song Mingi!" he tells himself since the pain on his back was enough, he didn't need to also had emotional pain to it at the moment "Let's go eat something and then take the pain medicine" he says to himself again before getting up to go grab anything necessary to make a quick sandwich since Mingi wasn't really hungry but needed to eat something to take the pain medicine

Yunho was curious.

Since he met Mingi, he wanted to know more about the younger alpha since he never saw his mates grow close to someone so quickly.

He wasn't the only one feeling that way, Hongjoong was just the same as him.

But they had no idea how to approach the alpha and get to know him better since they were working most of the time and any free time they had was spent with at least one of their mates.

Until one day San texted them just as they finished their last important meeting of the day(where the CEO of the other company tried to poach Yunho to work for him but it didn't work like always) and only had to work on paperwork and watch the video auditions sent by people who wanted to become a trainee at their company.

Kim Pack

BabySannie: @Joongie @Yunnie Are you guys free?

Joongie: We just have to work on paperwork and watch some auditions, if I'm not wrong

Yunnie: You aren't

Yunnie: Why do you ask? Are you sick?

BabySannie: No! I'm perfectly well!

Joongie: Then?

BabySannie: Mingi doesn't look well and I finally convinced him to inform his teachers of it so he could go home and rest…

Yunnie: And?

BabySannie: I don't think he should be alone or at least go home alone but he doesn't let me miss the class I will have when the break ends

BabySannie: So…could one of you come pick him up?

Joongie: And does he agree with that?

BabySannie: …

Yunnie: San…

BabySannie: But hyungs! Minnie doesn't really look good and my omega would feel much better if we at least have someone we trust taking Minnie home!

Yunnie: …

Joongie: …Very well, we will be there in ten minutes

BabySannie: Thanks, alpha!

"You spoil him too much" Yunho tells his alpha

"I spoil all of you equally" Hongjoong corrects and Yunho just shakes his head amused

They enter their office to put their things down and then Hongjoong grabs their car's keys before they leave to pick up Mingi.

As Hongjoong had told San, the alpha-omega duo arrived at the university in ten minutes.

Yunho was the one to leave the car to meet San and bring Mingi to the car.

The older omega couldn't really blame San for being worried about the taller alpha because just with one look anyone could see how pale he was and how he seemed to be in pain.

It certainly was a look that didn't fit the soft alpha.

"San" Yunho calls as he approaches them

"Yunnie!" San says, happy to see that his mates had arrived

"...This wasn't needed, San" Mingi mumbles but he is ignored because even if he says he is used to dealing with feeling sick and in pain alone, San simply wouldn't stand to have that continue to happen since Mingi was his to cherish and protect(they had all been oblivious at the beginning)

"Thanks for coming, hyung" San says as he grabs Mingi's bag and gives it to Yunho "Let's go! I will go with you two to the car and then go to my class" he adds and Yunho despite knowing he should tell the younger omega to just go to his class so he wouldn't be late, he couldn't find it in himself to do so since it was obvious how worried San was

With that the three make their way to the car and quickly San helps Mingi get to the backseat, leaving his bag beside him, before stealing a quick kiss from both his mates.

“Please take care of him, I will try to visit him after my classes” San says to his mates

“We will, don't worry” Hongjoong says, also looking worried after he saw how pale the taller alpha was which certainly wasn't something that should be considered normal

“See you later, San” Yunho says and San looks one last time to Mingi before waving his hand at them and leaving for his classes

“...You didn't need to pick me up” Mingi mumbles

“You don't look well, Mingi” Yunho sighs because how the alpha could just say that when he looked so terrible is a miracle to him

“I think we should take you to a doctor” Hongjoong says

“No” Mingi says quickly since he didn't see any reason to go there because even if he was given a stronger pain medicine to take or exercises to do to help, he may not have enough money or time for it(the grocery store he went to since he moved to the dorms had closes down and he had to go to another one were everything was much more expensive especially the medicine)

Hongjoong and Yunho looks at each other, unsure of what to do or say.

If Mingi was one of their mates, they would force him to go so they could make sure this was normal and try to find a way to help Mingi.

But he wasn't, so they had no idea of what to do but they did not like to see Mingi looking so bad and have to leave him alone.

“...Will you at least accept coming with us to our office?” Yunho asks “Just like San, we don't think it is a good idea to leave you alone but we will drive you back to your dorm when we finish our work” he adds and Mingi makes a thoughtful face at that

Mingi didn't want to take more of Hongjoong and Yunho’s time especially because he didn't see any reason for them to be so worried when this was something that happened to him at least thrice or more times a year during the cold times so he had to really think about it.

In the end he decided to agree with going with them to the office but saying firmly that he didn't need to go to the doctor.

With that decided, Hongjoong started the car and they made their way back to Kim Entertainment.

Once they were in Kim Entertainment, already in the office, Hongjoong lead Mingi to lay in the comfortable couch they had bought in case one of them was tired or one of their mates visited them while Yunho shoot a quick text to their pack’s chat to say Mingi was in the company with them before grabbing some pain medicine and water to give to Mingi.

“Here, take some and try to sleep” Yunho says gently and Mingi whines softly since he would need to seat up to take the medicine but does it anyway

“Such an obedient alpha” Hongjoong says patting Mingi’s head softly after the younger boy had taken the medicine and had laid back in the couch

“Hmm” Mingi just hums as he tries to find a comfortable position so the pain in his back wouldn't be so bad while the medicine didn't do its work

Hongjoong grabbed the blanket they had in the office and threw it over Mingi before he and Yunho went to work on their paperwork, choosing to watch the auditions when Mingi was awake or at home.

Despite being focused on the paperwork, the duo would do some small pauses to see if Mingi was still sleeping or if he was still in pain.

It was strange having someone outside of their mates there with them but it somehow felt right to have Mingi there especially when he wasn't feeling well.

“San really got lucky in befriending someone like Mingi, didn't he?” Yunho asks softly after they are done with the paperwork for that day

“Hmm, he did” Hongjoong agrees before getting up and walking to Mingi

“What are you doing?” Yunho asks confused

“We should wake him to go home” Hongjoong answers and points to the the window making Yunho realize that it was almost night by the way the sunset was blending into more purple than orange

“Oh, then will you bring him down? I will turn the car one and make sure it is warm for him” Yunho says getting up and turning off the computer

“Yes and please tell Seonghwa that Mingi will be eating and sleeping at our home” Hongjoong answers and Yunho looks unsure at the last part but ends up nodding after taking a look at Mingi and remembering how the younger alpha looked like before the pain medicine and falling asleep

“Mingi? It’s time to wake up” Hongjoong calls softly as he touches Mingi’s shoulder once Yunho left

Mingi whined and only curled into himself more and Hongjoong smiled fondly at this even if he winced mentally because the taller alpha curling like that wouldn’t really help with the back pain.

“I know you are tired but it would be better to be in a bed and have something warm to eat before going back to sleep” Hongjoong tries again and Mingi whines more but opens his eyes a bit more as he pouts at Hongjoong “Want em to pick you up?” he asks, trying his best to not coo at how adorable Mingi was

“...No” Mingi mumbles as he slowly gets up “I already troubled you enough” he adds

“You didn’t, me and Yunho loved to have company while we work” Hongjoong says which wasn’t a lie but normally said company were their mates “And you will be coming back to our home anyways” he adds

“What?!” Mingi says looking surprised at Hongjoong “I don't’ want to bother you more, I will go to my dorm” he says since he didn’t want to trouble the pack more than he had already done

“It isn’t a bother” Hongjoong says “You still look a bit too pale and we just wish to make sure you are okay besides that me, Yunho and Wooyoung want to get to know you more and this is a good opportunity” he adds and Mingi looks uncertain if he should accept to go or not “Yunho has already told Seonghwa that you would be coming and he must be excited to be able to cook for you outside of the times you go to the coffee shop” he adds and Mingi pouts since Hongjoong was manipulating him because Mingi didn’t like to make his friends sad

“...You are mean” Mingi mutters

“I would apologize but I am sure I would be in a worse situation if my omega found out I let you go to your dorm when you were sick” Hongjoong says before grabbing Mingi’s hand to guide him back to the car where Yunho was waiting for them to go home

“Mingi!” was the first things the trio heard as they entered the Kim Pack’s house before Mingi found himself in San’s arms “Are you better?! Do you need anything?!” the omega asks looking at his friend worried

“I’m better, don’t worry” Mingi says softly but San looks at him for a few seconds before nodding

“Come on, Hwa-hyung wants to see for himself how you are” San says before dragging  Mingi to the kitchen

“Wow, I can’t believe our mate ignored us like this” Yunho says, he wasn’t angry or jealous but amused by how San acted

“I can’t blame him when the last time he saw Mingi, he looked like he would faint at any moment” Hongjoong says and Yuho hums in agreement

“Let’s see what our other mates are doing” Yunho says and Hongjoong nods before they go to the living room

The rest of the night passen with the pack making sure Mingi was alright and with Yunho, Hongjoong and Wooyoung getting to know the taller alpha better.

Wooyoung was jealous of his mates.

They all had a special moment with Mingi where they were fully conscious of what they had been doing but he didn't.

He wanted to hang out with the older alpha but felt like he may not be completely comfortable with him because of how Wooyoung reacted when they first met.

Wooyoung still didn't understand why his alpha reacted like he did since it had never reacted like that when it came to their mates but then again, he had never met them while in pre-rut and trying to find something to ground him enough that he could call or message one of his mates to come pick him.

Maybe his alpha just found comfort in the person who, despite realizing the possible risks of approaching them, still choose to help them.

He isn't sure of why it went like it did but Wooyoung didn't feel even a bit bad for it, he just knew that Mingi was amazing and wanted to be able to hang out alone with him.

So, here he was at home alone while trying to think of a way to approach Mingi.

'Maybe I should ask San how to approach Mingi, he is the one that has known him for the longest' Wooyoung thinks as he grabs his phone to text his mate but is stopped from doing that when he receives a message from an unknown number

Unknown Number: Hi? Is this Jung Wooyoung?

Wooyoung: Yes, I am

Unknown Number: That's good

Wooyoung: And who are you?

Unknown Number: Oh, right!

Unknown Number: I'm Mingi

Wooyoung: Mingi?

Wooyoung was surprised that the person he had been wanting to get to know was the first to approach him but he was also happy about it.

Wooyoung: Do you need anything?

Mingi: Something like that

Wooyoung: You can tell me or ask me anything you need

Mingi: You know how Christmas is close?

Wooyoung: Yeah, why?

Mingi: You guys are the closest friends I have to I wanted to buy something for you

Mingi: I already got a present for most of you with San's help but...

'We are his closest friends?' he was surprised by this but then he remembered that San was the first friend Mingi did on university and that he mentioned not being very popular in the past so he probably hadn't made many friends

Wooyoung: You are missing a gift for San?

Mingi: Yes, I asked Seonghwa if any of you was free today since I knew San would be occupied with something and he said you would be free

Mingi: ...So, could you help me find a gift for San?

Wooyoung: Of course!

Wooyoung: Where and when would you like to meet?

Mingi: Thanks, Wooyoung-ssi

Mingi: Maybe at the mall in an hour?

Wooyoung: Call me just Wooyoung or Woo

Wooyoung: And see you there then!

Wooyoung doesn't know which deity he needs to thank for this opportunity but he is very thankful for it and he would do his best to make it an enjoyable evening for Mingi.

"So, do you have anything already in mind for Sannie?" Wooyoung asks curious after they entered the mall and where just walking around looking at the different stores

"Not really" Mingi admits "He has told me things he would like for you guys to gift him but otherwise nothing" he adds and Wooyoung hums at that because San hadn't lost time in giving them a list of things he wishes for Christmas the moment December began like he did every year since they got together

"Hmmm, then let's just look around for now and see if anything catches our attention" Wooyoung says and Mingi nods so they continue to look at the stores and entering some of them when they seem to have something that San might like

They spent two hours like that but nothing really screamed San at them so Wooyoung said they should make a small pause and get some ice cream.

"It is so hard to find a gift for San" Mingi grumbles as he eats his mango ice cream

"Especially because you don't want to gift him any of the options he gave me and our mates" Wooyoung says a bit amused since San wouldn't be mad if Mingi gifted him something he had told him he wanted to receive from his mates but he also could understand Mingi wanting to gift something special to San

"Shut up" Mingi pouts as he glares at Wooyoung but the younger alpha just laughs and melts a bit at how adorable Mingi is

"How about you just make something for San?" Wooyoung asks after he stopped laughing

"Make something?" Mingi asks tilting his head to the side in confusion

"Yes, like make him a blanket or bake something" Wooyoung answers as he tries his hardest to not go and just hug Mingi for how cute he was

Sincerely, Wooyoung had never met an alpha that was as sweet and cute as Mingi but he was thankful he got the chance to do it.

"Hmmm, that's not a bad idea" Mingi mumbles as he thinks about the idea Wooyoung had given him "But what would I make for him that he could in a way have with him all the time?" he asks

"Have you ever worked with gold or silver?" Wooyoung asks as he has an idea since San had mentioned to him once about wanting something but not having the courage to ask Hongjoong for it

"I did have a class about that once but I was only able to pay for that one class" Mingi answers

"Then come on!" Wooyoung says leaving money on the table to pay for their food before grabbing Mingi's had to drag him somewhere "I have a friend that can help you!" he adds

"...But I still don't know what you are talking about!" Mingi says but Wooyoung just grins at him and continues to take him to wherever he is dragging him to so Mingi can only suppose that he will get his answer later

Mingi had to admit that Wooyoung's idea was amazing especially because he could get a matching one for the one he made for San.

While it had taken a few tries to get the things right, Mingi had fun doing it especially with Wooyoung being his cheerleader.

"Wow, they are beautiful" Wooyoung says as he looks at the gift Mingi made for San

"For your first time actually doing them, you made an amazing job" Changbin, Wooyoung's friend, agrees as he finally packs up everything in a beautiful black and golden box before wrapping it in some wrapping paper "If you ever want to try doing more or if you are looking for work, we will be more than happy to welcome you here" he offers

"Thank you" Mingi says a bit embarrassed "I will keep it in mind" he adds

"Here is everything" Changbin says smiling and giving the wrapped gift to Mingi

"How much will it be?" Mingi asks

"Nothing, it was a favor for Woo and even then I had fun teaching you" Changbin answers

"I can't accept that" Mingi says since he would feel bad for not paying anything after all the work Changbin went through to teach him everything

"I heard from Sannie that Mingi can be quite stubborn when it comes to this things" Wooyoung says remembering San telling them many stories of him wanting to help or pay for things for the alpha but him refusing

"How about you come here when you are free and help around for a month or so?" Changbin offers since he would believe about someone being stubborn if it came from San who had his mates all wrapped his fingers

"...I can work with that" Mingi says feeling like that was the best thing he could get

"Let's exchange numbers so we can work on when you will come here" Changbin says grabbing his phone with Mingi doing the same

Wooyoung was happy that Mingi had gotten the gift for San and seemed to be going to have a good relationship with one of his best friends but seeing them exchange numbers made him feel strange but he didn't know why.

"Thank you for your help, Wooyoung" Mingi thanks the younger alpha as they made the way back to his dorm

"No problem, I was more than happy to finally be able to spend more time with you" Wooyoung says smiling at Mingi was a bit surprised

"You want to spend more time with me?" Mingi asks confused

"Of course!" Wooyoung says not understanding how Mingi couldn't see how amazing he was "You are adored by all of us and you never get rid of us" he adds grinning and Mingi offers a small smile to the younger alpha

Neither of the two knew how right Wooyoung was because Mingi would always be part of their lives and gain even more importance on it.

Minnie: Merry Christmas! I hope you will all enjoy the gifts I gave you and have a wonderful day

Yunnie: Thank you, Mingi

Hyung: We really liked the matching suit jackets you got me and Yunho

Hwa: I adored the cute tea set you got me! I will use them the next time we hang out!

Sangie: I will be sure to wear these shoes as often I can, they are very comfortable but also pretty

JJongie: Thanks for this set of pens, they will be pretty useful and I will use them at the office

Youngie: I loved the phone case you got me! Thanks!

Minnie: I'm happy you did

Yunnie: Why is Sannie celebrating so much after getting your gift?

Minnie: ...He liked it?

Sangie: So much that he won't even show us what it is

Jjongie: Meaning that only you, Woo and San know what it is

Minnie: I'm happy he liked it then

Sannie: MINGI YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!

Sannie: I HAVE WANTED TO GET A PIERCING FOR SO LONG AND NOW I HAVE A EXCUSE FOR IT!!!!

Hyung: Piercing?

Sangie: Oh! San had mentioned quite often that he wanted to have a piercing in the future

Youngie: That's why I thought it would be a good idea for Mingi to make one for Sannie!

Sannie: Make?

Minnie: Wooyoung took me to see Changbin-ssi and he taught me how to make the piercings and the rings

Hwa: In plural?

Minnie: Yes, I choose a piercing type that would match the one I already had

Sannie: Oh! Can you show it?!

Jjongie: Please, hyung?

Minnie: ...Okay

Minnie shared a photo with the chat

Sangie: So pretty!

Yunnie: Agreed

Minnie: Thank you

Sannie: Hyung! Can I get the piercing soon?! I wanna match Minnie!

Hyung: San...

Sannie: Pretty please!

Youngie: I don't think you will able to get it this month so for now you can enjoy the matching rings

Hwa: I have to agree with Woo

Sannie: Oh...

Minnie: We can wear our rings almost everyday while the piercings I made can't be wore as often since it will be painful if it gets stuck in the clothes you wear

Sannie: ...Okay, I can live with it

Youngie: You should show an image of the rings, they are also very pretty

Yunnie: I would like to see them too

Sannie: Here

Sannie sent a photo to the chat

Hyung: You are really talented, Mingi

Minnie: It could have been better but thank you

Sannie: One of this days I will make you accept the compliments we give you

Minnie: If you say so

Sannie: I know so

Sangie: I'm sorry Mingi but we need to leave, our families will arrive soon

Minnie: No problem! Enjoy your time with your families!

Jjongie: You too!

Mingi smiled sadly at Jongho's message because he would spend this Chritsmas alone like most of the previous ones since his family didn't like him and his only friends were the Kim pack but he was happy that he was able to make friends for the first time in his life.

Seonghwa adored Song Mingi.

The younger alpha was always sweet and respectful, different from most of the alphas Seonghwa had met in his life, and it was impossible to hate Mingi.

So, the moment Seonghwa found out that Mingi would spend New Year alone like him(all his other mates had promised to spend it with their families and Seonghwa’s family had gone to visit his older brother in Japan after Christmas because they had just been told his niece had just been born) he was quick to text the younger alpha to invite him to spend it with Seonghwa.

Seonghwa: Mingi?

MinMin: Seonghwa-hyung? Did you need anything?

Seonghwa: Not really

Seonghwa: I actually have a question

MinMin: A question?

Seonghwa: Yes

MinMin: Uhm, okay

MinMin: What’s your question?

Seonghwa: So, San heard from someone that shared a class with you that you had mentioned you will spend New Year alone

MinMin: …Yeah, I will. What about it, hyung

Seonghwa: Would you like to spend it with me then?

MinMin: Eh?

Seonghwa: The others will be spending it with their families and I would like very much to spend New Year with you

MinMin: But what about your family?

Seonghwa: They are in Japan visiting my new niece but I am unable to go since I still have work

MinMin: Oh, I see

Seonghwa: So? Will you spend it with me?

MinMin: If the others don’t mind, then sure

Seonghwa: Of course they won’t! They adore you as much as I do!

MinMin: Okay, hyung

Seonghwa: Come to our home the moment you wake on 31th

MinMin: I promise, hyung

Seonghwa: Good!

Seonghwa grinned at knowing he would be able to spend New Year with Mingi which will probably make his mates jealous when he tells them.

“What got you so happy, Hwa-hyung? Yunho asks as he looks up from his phone to his oldest mate

“Did your brother send you another photo of your niece?” Yeosang asks curious too as all their mates were also looking curious at Seonghwa

“Nope, something better” Seonghwa says with a teasing smirk but that only confused his mates

“What do you mean, hyung?” Jongho asks

“I will be spending New Year with our dear Mingi” Seonghwa answers smirkings and as he expected WooSan started whining about that being unfair, JongSang pouted at that and HongHo just shook their head amused at all this

Mingi wasn't sure what to expect from spending New Year with Seonghwa.

He couldn't even remember the last time he spend it with someone or celebrated it so having someone want to celebrate it with him was surprising.

He wouldn't have been surprised if Seonghwa had suddenly texted him to sya that he changed his mind but when Mingi woke up on December 31, the only text on his phone was og Seonghwa telling to not forget to go to the Kim Pack house after he woke up.

Mingi wasn't sure how he should feel about having seven people want to hnag out so much with him, the mates couple texted him often in the group chat and asked to hang out with him whenver they had free time(besides San, and now also Wooyoung, being glued to him whenever they recesss together).

It was something Mingi never dreamed of happening to him with how he had always been treated but the pack didn't seem to care about him being too submissive and sweet despite being an alpha and that was nice, it made Mingi feel warm.

So he quickly went to take a fast shower before eating a small breakfast(during winter he rarely ate much because of his backpain but thankfully today Mingi was only feeling discomfort and not pain) and once ready he made his way to the Kim Pack house.

“Welcome, Mingi!” Seonghwa says the moment he opens the door to see Mingi

“Hello, Seonghwa-hyung” Mingi says bowing to the older one

“No need to bow, you are my friend” Seonghwa says shaking his head before grabbing Mingi's arm and dragging jim inside “So, I have never celebrated New Year with someone who wasn't my mates or my family so I decided that we would make our own tradition in case we ever celebrate New Year together again” he explains as he guides Mingi to the living room

“Our own traditions?” Mingi asks confused

“Yes!” Seonghwa says “I thought we could have the whole day of pampering ourselves and when night arrives and after we eat, we could have a small photoshoot so we can post the photos in our social media accounts” he explains

“Uhm…it doesn't sound bad?” Mingi says unsure since he never had someone pamper him or did he pamper himself(or does him deciding to have the songwriting class count as that?)

“If something makes you uncomfortable just say it and we will stop doing it” Seonghwa says smiling softly to him and Mingi nods at that

With that Seonghwa started to tell him what he had planned for their pampering and they got everything ready for that before having lunch.

“I’m sure you will love this!” Seonghwa said after they ate and had washed the dishes “And it may help a bit with your back pain” he adds and Mingi offers a smile to the omega, thankful that he thought about his back pain when he planned it when he didn’t have to

The whole evening was spent with them massaging each other, taking care of their skin and etc, basically having a spa day at home where they talked and relaxed while they took care of themselves and each other.

Soon dinner time came and they prepared something quick and simple since they weren’t very hungry because of the snacks they had as they pampered themselves.

“So…I wasn’t sure what you would be comfortable in so I choose many types of clothes for you to decide which you prefer” Seonghwa tells the alpha as he guides him to the guest room where he had laid many clothes in the bed “I would like you to choose 5 conjuncts of clothes for the photoshoot we will dp” he adds and looks at Mingi, waiting for him to choose

“Have you chosen yours?” Mingi asks and Seonghwa nods at that “Show me them, please” he requests and the omega does just that

Mingi never really had type to experiment with clothes both because of how he had already been treated just because he was ‘too’ submissive for an alpha and also because he had to be careful with how he used his money but once he found a job he started experimenting at home, finding that he didn’t really care about his gender or is his clothes were masculine or feminine so after seeing Seonghwa choices Mingi choose similar ones so they would match.

“You don’t mind wearing dresses, skirts, etc?” Seonghwa asks curious as he watches Mingi pick clothes that matched his chosen ones

“I don’t really mind the clothes I wear as long as I feel comfortable and like how I look on them” Mingi answers just as he chooses the last piece of cloth “Where did you get all this clothes?” he asks and Seonghwa turns red

“...I may have been really excited at knowing you would spend New Year with me so I forced the others to come with me and buy clothes for both of” Seonghwa mumbles and Mingi looks surprised at that

He didn’t expect Seonghwa to be that excited to spend New Year with him(no matter how much time the pack spent with Mingi, he still found it surprising) and that he would go so far and buy all this for him when he didn’t even know if Mingi might like them

“...Thank you” Mingi says softly and Seonghwa just offers him a smile

“Now let’s go to Joong’s photography room” Seonghwa says and goes to grab his clothes before dragging Mingi to said room

“He won’t mind us using it?” Mingi asks

“Joong was the one to offer me for us to use the room when I mentioned I might ask you to take photos with me and the clothes instead of just experimenting the clothes” Seonghwa hums as he goes to prepare everything so Mingi puts the clothes down and helps him

Once everything was ready, they decided the order of the conjuncts they would wear and went to change to the first one which was traditional hanboks.

After that one, they used matching light green dresses with Seonghwa’s being longer than Mingi’s.

Then it was a white dress and sweater for Seonghwa and green ones for Mingi.

The last two conjuncts were a gray-red one a white-black one.

It had been fun to pose for the photos and even more changing the background and making some edits on the photos.

At the end Seonghwa chose to post all the photos in his social accounts while desiring a happy new year to all his followers while Mingi picked the photo with them in the gray-red conjunct to do the same in the only social account he had that was mostly to post photos of the works he did.

“This was fun” Mingi says as they had changed into pajamas and were making their way to the kitchen

“It was! Maybe next time the others will also be here” Seonghwa says with a grin in his face as he goes to the cooler to drag the champagne since in a few minutes the new year would start “I hope you like this champagne” he adds and Mingi simply nods since he had never drank champagne

Soon the two were holding each a champagne glass and clicking it together as midnight arrived, the two hoped that this new year would bring many good things for all of them.

PrettySangie: …Really, hyung?

WooWoo: That doesn't count!

BabyBear: I wish we could have also spent New Year with him…

Yunnie: You seem have had a lot of fun if the photos you posted and this one is anything to go by

BeautifulHwa: We did!

Joongie: I’m happy you did, love

Joongie: You two look adorable

BeautifulHwa: Thanks, alpha

BabySannie: Waahh! Minnie looks so beautiful in those clothes, it makes me want to make clothes for him

PrettySangie: He would have made an amazing model

BeautifulHwa: I thought exactly that as we did the mini photoshoot

WooWoo: Whoever ends up with our Mingi, will be very lucky

Yunnie: I have to agree with that

BeautifulHwa: Certainly

BabyBear: You should go and enjoy cuddling with Mingi-hyung

After that message San sent to their pack’s chat, Seonghwa put his phone on the bedside table before cuddling more into the tall alpha that had chosen in his sleep to be the little spoon.

He was too cute for this world.

That thought made Seonghwa remember what Wooyoung said…he wasn't sure why but just the thought of someone approaching the tall alpha with those types of intentions brought to Seonghwa some feelings he couldn't define what they were.

‘Maybe it is overprotectiveness over how sweet Mingi is…’ Seonghwa thinks even if deep inside his mind there is a small voice he didn't hear telling him it wasn't that

San hated studying and all of his mates knew it so many times they had to bribe him to do it.

But he would willingly do it for the sweet alpha he had befriended at the beginning of the year.

For much that he hated doing it(he and Wooyoung never found the correct way to study for them), San was unable to say no to Mingi when the snow scented alpha asked him if he would study with him as he felt nervous about the exam he was studying for and San was somehow a calming presence(San’s mates would have laughed at this because he and Wooyoung were like hyperactive kids most of the time) to him 

So, right now both could be found in San’s room at the Kim Pack’s house(they shared a room most times but for when one of them wasn't feeling well, was mad at someone or just wanted to be alone, Hongjoong had the house made with enough rooms so that his mates could have a room of their own for when they needed it) studying or at least faking that he is studying in San’s case.

More often than not, San found his eyes running away from the books to look at the alpha sitting in front of him.

But how could he not do it? Mingi with his soft fluffy hair that was always getting in the way of his eyes, a concentrated face that looked adorable and those plush lips that were even more noticeable as Mingi sometimes put his pen in his mouth when he was trying to understand something.

‘Mingi is too good for anyone’ San thinks as he can’t imagine anyone is good enough for the soft alpha in the same room as him

“San? Do you know how to solve this exercise? I can’t remember what way I need to use to solve it” Mingi says as he looks up and San is taken out of his head by the alpha’s voice

“I can’t promise I know but if I don’t…I’m sure one of the others can help” San says

“Thanks” Mingi says smiling at San before showing him the mentioned exercise and luckily for San, who did not wish to share Mingi with anyone that day, he knew how to solve it and helped Mingi before returning back to watching the alpha

It is as San is observing the alpha that he realizes that he has no idea of who Mingi takes after in appearance, like he knows Yeosang is the copy of his father but with his mother’s softer features and birthmark and Jongho looks more like his grandads then his parents.

‘I wonder…why did no one come to visit Mingi? My parents visited me as soon as they had enough money, the other’s family visited them as often as they could but…I never met Mingi’s family or friends’ San thinks but feels like he shouldn’t ask Mingi about his family yet, so San trusts this feeling especially if maybe the answer may be something San wouldn’t really like

Lee Minho spent most of his childhood and teenagehood being told that he should be more submissive like other omegas.

But after he turned seventeen and met his first mate, Han Jisung, he decided to ignore those comments as he was perfect as he was.

Especially taking in account that he wasn't a normal omega but a dominant one, something all of his mates adored about him.

So when he first put his eyes on Song Mingi he knew that the older alpha was just like him but without having any support until now.

It was in the way Mingi moved, how he always looked unsure if what he said would be welcomed, how he kept a certain distance from others, etc.

And Minho, being who he was, couldn't let the poor alpha alone so after a talk with his mates(translation: Minho told them that no matter what he would be taking Mingi under his wing so they better not hurt him) he decided to approach the alpha.

Mingi looked unsure at his hands.

They had been given their first group project and the alpha had no idea who to approach or if he would be welcomed by anyone.

“Wanna pair up?” someone said suddenly from Mingi’s side making turn to his side slightly scared

“M-minho-ssi!” Mingi says surprised since the younger omega normally paired up with one of his mates, Hyunjin or Felix, so he couldn't understand why he approached him

“Jinnie and Lixie want to pair up today” Minho says as if read Mingi's mind

“I-I see…” Mingi mumbles

“So? Wanna pair up or not?” Minho asks since the alpha hadn't answered

“Uh…sure?” Mingi says still a bit unsure but Minho had been the only one to approach him(what he hadn't known was that a few of his other classmates also wanted to pair up with him but Minho scared them away with a glare)

“Good!” Minho says very happy which Mingi couldn't understand why but he had to just roll with it for now “So, do you have anything in mind for the project?” Minho asks and while Mingi looks unsure for a few seconds, he starts telling Minho his ideas as he notices that the omega is actually interested in what he might say

San wasn't happy.

He had wanted to hang out with Mingi but the alpha said he couldn't as he had to work on a project with a classmate.

So of course San asked if he could watch when he found out it was a project for their dance class, excited to see Mingi dancing and how talented he was.

But now, he wasn't liking it a bit.

Of course Mingi looked amazing when he danced and was very talented.

What San wasn't liking is how close the omega Mingi paired up with was with him.

San met Mingi first and the alpha was his so he can't see why that omega was so close to his alpha especially as he could tell that the other omega was mated.

“Let's take a rest” Minho, the omega partner of Minho, says as he takes a quick look at his phone “Sunggie is going to bring us something to snack on as I have something that he forgot” he adds and Mingi nods at that before going to San

“You are amazing Minnie!” San exclaims, pushing his dislike for Minho to the side, as he grins at Mingi which becomes bigger as the alpha blushes at his compliment

“I-I’m not that good” Mingi says embarrassed and San has to stop himself from melting at how adorable the alpha is

“Yes, you are!” San says making Mingi look like he wanted to make a hole in the ground and hide in it “So, what is this project about?” he decides to ask

“Oh! The teacher asked us to…” Mingi started to talk about the project and then how he and Minho talked about their ideas and came up with the one they were working on

.

While the two friends talked, Minho observed them very amused.

Minho had noticed the glares San sent him and at first he was confused by them since Jeongin had said San was a kind and funny person but now that he was paying more attention, he could guess the why of those glares.

He wasn't sure if San noticed it or not but if someone paid attention, they would notice how much he adored the sweet alpha to the point it was as more than friends.

‘I wonder…do his mates feel the same and if yes, if they realize it?’ Minho thinks curious but before he could get lost in his thoughts about this topic, he saw his beta arrive

“Sunggie” Minho says going to his mate and giving him a quick kiss

“Thanks for bringing my pen with you” Jisung says and Minho just waves his hand at that

“Someone has to take care of all of you and I’m more than happy to do it” Minho says as he walks towards the bags with Jisung

“Hey” Jisung says as he notices Mingi and San

“Hello” Mingi says nervous as San waves his hand and smiles at beta

“Mingi this is one if my mates Jisung” Minho says “Jisung this is my partner for this project Mingi” he adds

“Nice to meet you” Mingi says softly 

“It's nice to meet you, Mingi” Jisung says smiling “Minho, Hyunjin and Felix have told me great things about you” he adds making Mingi blush and San glare at him as he glues himself to Mingi which wasn't noticed by Jisung

‘Cute’ Minho thinks amused at seeing San’s actions “Here is the pen and thanks for the snacks” he adds as he takes the pen from his bag and gives it to Jisung at the same time that the beta gives him a bag with snacks

“No problem” Jisung says “I better go before the hyungs think I was kidnapped” he adds making Minho laughs since that was something he could see his two alphas do

“See you later” Minho says hugging his mate before Jisung leaves “Let's eat and then go back to training” he adds turning to the soft alpha and the omega

“Ok” Mingi says while San simply nods

And that is exactly what they do until the time one of San’s betas came to pick him and Mingi up as San had convinced the soft alpha to have dinner with them.

“See you tomorrow, Mingi!” Minho says as he waves his hand goodbye as he watches the alpha and omega enter the car “Hopefully they don't end up hurting him” Minho sighs since the soft alpha already suffered enough so he hoped San and his mates wouldn't hurt him even more
