Chapter Text

I slowly open my eyes, only to find an absence beside me, a text from my boyfriend then lights up my phone;

_______________________________________

Ghost- I’m going to work early, I’ll be home at around six, love ya.

‘Name’- Alright! I have to run some errands, so I should be home at the same time as you, love you!💕

Ghost- Alright.

I sit up with a smile on my face ready to go out. I get ready and grab my keys, I get in my car and think to myself.. ‘where to go today?’ I have the whole day to myself.

I start to drive to a cute little cafe in the area, in the cafe there are lots of little pastries and I pick out some cake and tea. I sit down at the little pink table, I put my headphones in and start listening to my favourite songs. Eating cake and drinking tea, pure bliss.

All that happiness shatters when I see my boyfriend holding a girls hand, I think about standing up and asking him who she was but I freeze, he kisses her. Tears prickle in your eyes as you pull out your phone and take a picture of the sight before you. The bliss you felt moments ago is broken into tiny pieces that can’t be fixed with an apology. You send the picture you just took to your boyfriend. He pulls his phone out and opens the message. the look of pure horror on his face is almost comical, he looks up and meets your teary eyes.

He practically runs across the street and almost bursts into the store before a man -much larger than my boyfriend- blocks his way with a small “Sorry.” Neither of these men look like they should be in this very tiny pink cute cafe. One of them I don’t even want to look at. Before I can take in the sheer size of the man in the doorway Ghost is in front of me saying how it’s “not what it looks like!” and the good ol’ classic “she’s just a friend!” it’s making me sick to my stomach. The bigger man looks in shock, he was covering his face with a sniper hood of some sort, I gave him pleading look, He started to walk over.

“Are you alright miss?” He said with a genuine look.

The heavy German accent threw me off at first, I was about to speak when ghost spoke for me.

“We’re fine, ‘mister’ .” He said mockingly.

“I didn’t ask you. Are you alright miss?” He snapped back.

“No, I’m not. He’s bothering me, can you help?” I plead,

I can’t even look at my “boyfriend” right now, if I can even call him that anymore. He won’t be for much longer anyway.

Ghost looks like he’s seen a ghost when I spoke — Ironic right? — He let out a defeated sigh.

“I’ll give you some time baby. You know I love you, right?” He said before walking away.

Those words.

They shattered my heart. Tears starting spilling out and I couldn’t even make a coherent sentence even if I wanted to.
The man spoke up.

“What was that? Are you alright?” His voice calmed me down a little, not by much but enough to allow me to speak.

“He— my boyfriend, the man who was just here, cheated on me and- I don’t know for how long.. he lives with me, what do I even do?” I choked out.

“Oh. I’m so sorry, I know you don’t know me well or anything but do you want me to help you move out, you could live with me?” He said with a sad tone.

“You’d do that?” I say looking up at him though my lashes.

He looked away after seeing me like that, his ears red at the tips, “of course maus..”
