Chapter Text
Day one dream house
The trees swayed outside as i Strode twords the cabin. Birds chirped overhead as if they were inviting me in for the day. The stone path shifted under my feet as i got closer reaching out to grab the banister by the stairs. The wood was dark and smooth like it had been freshly made and stained. As i climbed the stairs the cabin began to look more like a large house. The door was simple and slightly ajar. As it swun open i was greeted by the sight of a huge room with a tv and chairs. To my left was a imense kitchen and dinning room. To my right was a hallway that seemed to be calling to me. As I skipped down the hall the air turned crisp and started to smell like the old candles my mom loves. In the first room down the hall there was a grand bathroom, next was a master bedroom, the bed adorned in silk sheets perfectly placed, with a walk in closet. It took a while to tear myself away fom all of the soft clothes and fabrics. strideing to the final room i hesitated to open the door. This house had been perfect so far but what if this one room ruins that. The though plagued my mind making me turn away and hed back to the kitchen. For now the room would stay closed. As i entered the kitchen i started to look for something to eat. To my surprise the pantry was full as was the fridge. It seemed so strange a perfect home, for it must be a home not just a house, and all of my favrit foods. I stopped feeling hungry like i only hass the feeling to make myself look around more. As i sat down infront of the tv i heard a soft voice.
“Open, open, open,” it creekedd and wined like someone going up stairs. I creeped to the room the only one i hadnt opened at the end of the hall. I reached forward slowly gripping the doornob. It was ice cold against my skin. The rest of the house was so warm and welcoming why did tnis room seem so...dark. I pulled my hand away and went to the master bedroom looking at the silk sheets that seemed messier than before. I straitened them and walked to the closet my hand grazing over once perfect and soft fabric now only finding itchy worn cloth. I stepped back before turning and sprinting to the bathroom. The once grand open space now felt cramped and confineing. It was silent the sweet air gone. The house seemed like it had lost the magic that drew me to it. At least most of it. The door kept calling to me.
“OPEN,OPEN,OPEN,” i held my hands over my ears but it was like it was in my head. I ran to the door and flung it open despate to stop the noise.
I shot up in bed my eyes glanceing over at my alarm clock annoyed by the annoying beeping waking me from my sleep.
