dave sat on his bed, tucked into the covers as he watched some netflix movie he found, before having his attention drawn to a gentle knock on his door. he knew exactly who it was, so he paused the movie and invited him in. said man opened the door holding a bag, before shutting the door again and walking to the bed.
“i saw this at the store when i was there a few hours ago, and i was going to wait to give it to you, but i thought i should give it to you now.” he set the bag into dave’s hands, prompting him to reply.
“it’s the 3rd, why wouldn’t you wait until christmas? i can wait to open this if you want me to.”
“we both know you wouldn’t, just consider it an early christmas present and open it already!” he laughed lightly, and jokingly shoved the purple one’s shoulder to convince him.
smiling to himself, he opened the bag, and pulled out a decorative sweater, with an illustration of a possum on it, which was his favorite animal. well.. one of them. he’s like a child, his favorite animals change every so often. he stares in awe at it for a while.”
“so, you like it?”
rushing to put it on he said nothing in response, admiring the thought put into such a perfect gift.
“i’ll assume that’s a-“
the orange man’s words were cut off by a kiss.
“of course it’s a yes, i love it, and i love you, thank you.”
