It was mid November, and Felix sat in his room, leaning over a notebook as he worked on one of the final projects he had before their Christmas break began. It was peaceful, a few candles glowing around the room, when he suddenly heard something in the living room that jolted him out of that peace.
A very, very familiar song was playing, quite a bit too loudly.
Then, he heard Adrien, his very favourite cousin, scream at the top of his lungs. "IT'S TIMEEEEE!!!!!"
Felix froze in horror. "No," He said under his breath. "No no no no noooooo...." He muttered. "Already??"
He heard the familiar whiny vocals from the living room, backed up by his cousin's absolutely 𝘸𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭 singing skills. Lovely.
He opened his door, surveying the room. Tinsel had been thrown all over the ground, their tv was playing All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey on loop, and Adrien danced on the coffee table while wearing a reindeer headband he had gotten from who knows where.
Felix stared blankly at Adrien. "It's November."
Adrien shrugged, still dancing. "So?? I'm excited!!!" He grinned brightly.
Felix sighed. "Just--Just don't fall."
Adrien nodded and then grabbed his hand, pulling him up onto the coffee table, still dancing and singing, albeit badly, to the music.
Felix tried to stay calm and dignified, he really did, but there wasn't much his cousin could do that he couldn't be convinced to join him in.
He really hoped nobody heard the loud music, but he let himself slip that worry away for now.
Right now, his priority was enjoying himself with one of his favourite people, and not letting said favourite person try to do a backflip onto the couch.
He was currently failing that last part.
