Jin and Yoongi had been friends for as long as Jin could remember, they had had silly arguments as kids but were always quick to apologise to each other. They were almost inseparable, until they were two years from finishing high school when Hoseok had transferred to their school. Yoongi seemed to get along with Hoseok quickly, quicker than what he had with anyone else in their friend group.
This was also when Yoongi also stopped hanging out with Jin as much and was invitiving Hoseok to join their hang outs that were meant to be just for Jin and Yoongi, it not like Jin didn’t like Hoseok, Hoseok was a caring and loyal friend. Jin honestly couldn’t fault Hoseok at all, Yoongi who generally never seemed to have much energy was suddenly filled with energy and was almost always smiling brightly when around him, so Jin didn’t say anything, if Yoongi was happy, Jin was happy.
They were now in college and funnily enough, Hoseok, Jin and Yoongi along with another friend from their friend group from high school, Namjoon, had all gotten into the same college. Jin also hoped the younger ones from their friend group would also be joining them in the following years but for now it was just the four of them and Jin was more than happy to find out that they were all going to the same college.
Jin’s parents had happily offered to pay the extra for Jin to have a room of his own in the dorm after he had mentioned to his parents that Yoongi was planning to room with Hoseok and that Namjoon wanted to experience having a unknown room mate apparently that was him wanting a proper college dorm experience, Jin would never understand him, but each to their own.
Jin saw Yoongi a lot less then he was used to seeing him, he was seemingly always with Hoseok when Jin texted asking if he wanted to join him for dinner or if they just wanted to study with him. Out of class Jin was either in his dorm room on his own, at the library with Namjoon, or in the dorms shared kitchen cooking for himself or all of the four of them when they all managed to have time to hang out together or it was Jin cooking for just Namjoon and occasionally Jackson his room mate, who would occasionally join the friend group when his friends were busy, not that Jin minded the new addition when he did join them.
Jin was sitting in his dorm room, sitting at his desk typing away on his laptop. He was busy writing an essay and doing some research as he went when he heard someone knocking on his door. Jin got up and walked over to the door. It was pretty late so Jin had no idea who could possibly be at his door right now. So he quickly unlocked the door and opened it up only to find Yoongi standing there.
“Yoongi?” Jin asked and Yoongi, who had been looking down at the floor while waiting for Jin to open the door, looked up, biting his bottom lip before asking “Can I talk to you?”
Jin nodded and moved out of the doorway so that Yoongi could enter his room, which the younger did, he sat himself on Jin’s bed. Jin sat back on his desk chair, facing the younger “ What’s wrong? Please don’t tell me you’ve had an argument with Hobi..”
It wasn’t often that Hoseok and Yoongi argued but if they did it was normally or something silly and was always soon to be solved, sometimes with Jin’s or Namjoon’s help, but it was always easily solved. Yoongi was quick to shake his head “No,no… it's not that.. I just… I need to talk to someone and i can’t talk to him it about”
Jin nodded “Okay.. so what’s up?”
The younger sighed and looked over at Jin “I realised something… and I don’t know what to do… “
At this point Jin was getting worried, he knew it had something to with the younger feelings or maybe about his mental health because it was the only things that Yoongi struggled with talking and about and as far as Jin knew he was the only one Yoongi would talk to about such things, so obviously the older was getting worried.
The younger was quick to reassure Jin that it wasn’t anything bad, so Jin felt himself relax and then nodded for Yoongi to continue “Okay so..”
Yoongi took a deep breath “I think I have feelings for Hobi..” he spoke quietly, but luckily Jin knew how quiet he’d get and had made sure to listen carefully to what he was about to say.
Jin smiled and chuckled a little, this was something Jin already knew. He could tell that Yoongi had more than a friend's feelings for Hoseok, so being told this wasn’t surprising at all. “I already guessed that, I just didn’t think you’d tell me about it. But I guess because you told me about who you like, I should tell you who I like right?”
Jin stood up and walked over to the bed to sit next to Yoongi, the younger leaned slightly on the older resting his head on his shoulder before he spoke again “You don’t have to tell me because I told you”
Jin grinned and kissed the top of Yoongi’s head, something the older had always done since they had been kids “I actually want to tell you don’t worry you’re not pressuring me or anything”
Jin chuckled as Yoongi crunched up his nose, that was something that Yoongi had always done even as a child. Jin glanced sideways at the younger “I like Joon”
Yoongi was quick to back himself up “I knew it!”
Jin laughed at the younger’s outburst. Yoongi grinned, gums and all. They then both spent the night speaking to each other, not only about the people they liked but about how their courses were going and any gossip and rumors that had been going around the college, they also spoke about their three friends that are still in high school and disgusting how they should all try to met up again.

It was a few weeks later when Jin is once again at his laptop once again doing an essay and research when his dorm room is being knocked, confused because it's past midnight and not even Yoongi would come to his dorm this late but the older is surprised when he opens his door only to find a teary eyed Yoongi standing in front of him “Oh Yoongi what’s wrong?”
He instantly pulled Yoongi into his arms, somehow managing to push the door shut behind them. At this Yoongi lets out a sob and the tears that he was holding back started falling, Jin directed them both to the bed and sat them down, Jin lead back against his head board pulling Yoongi on his lap, he continued to hug him, waiting until he calmed down before asking him what had happened. So for around 10 minutes Jin just whispered ‘It’s okay’ ‘you’re okay’ and ‘I’m here, you’re okay’
Yoongi calmed down and moved so that his head was no longer resting on Jin’s chest. He wiped his eyes on his sleeves “I’m sorry”
Jin shook his head “Hey, hey you don’t need to apologise” he reassured him before asking “Do you want to talk about it?”
Yoongi nodded “Hobi came back to the dorm late so I asked him why he came back so late…”
The younger one took a deep breath.
“He was all smiley and seemed extremely excited… He told me the boy he liked had asked him on a date and then he asked him to be his boyfriend”
Jin instantly understood why the younger had broken down crying the moment he had pulled him into a hug. The older one just pulled him back into the hug. The younger hid his face in the crook of his neck “It hurts…”
“I know Yoongi, i know…but you’re gonna be okay”He sighed and just continued to comfort the younger. That night the two didn’t speak much, Jin just held Yoongi, it wasn’t long until the two boys fell asleep.

It had been a few days since Yoongi had come to Jin’s dorm room crying. Jin smiled slightly as he was on his way to meet the younger outside his class so that they could go out for lunch and spend the rest of the day with each other, yes Jin was helping him avoid having to spend more time then he need to with Hoseok, but Jin had also warned Yoongi that he’d have to face him at some point.
It wasn’t long before Yoongi was out of the classroom and next to Jin. They soon found themselves walking across the campus until they found themselves in front of Hoseok and Namjoon, they were both holding hands. Jin had a bad feeling and had grabbed the sleeve of Yoongi’s hoodie trying to pull them out of sight of the two others but it had been too late Hoseok had seen them “Yoongi! Jin!” He called and waved them over.
Yoongi hadn’t noticed the two until he heard Hoseok call them both and that’s when he saw hoseok holding Namjoon’s hand, he spared a glance to Jin and that’s when he realised that Jin was upset and faking a smile that he was giving the other two as they made their way over to them.
Yoongi tried to smile, but it wasn’t much of a smile “Hi..”
Jin just nodded in greeting not trusting his voice just yet. Hoseok and Namjoon both greet the two. It wasn’t long after when Hoseok had announced that Namjoon was his boyfriend, he hadn’t told Yoongi when he had been brave enough to ask who he was dating, he had told Yoongi that he had wanted to tell both him and Jin at the same time. Both Jin and Yoongi had congratulated the two and then excused themselves.
Once they were far enough away from Hoseok and Namjoon and out of their sight, when the younger of the two stopped and stood in front of Jin.
“I know it's a stupid question but, are you okay?”
Jin shook his head “I don’t know how to feel Yoonie”
Yoongi nodded and bit his lip. He was never good at comforting people if you needed comfort, people went to Jin. They only came to Yoongi when they wanted someone to be honest with them.
He sighed a little before taking Jin’s hand in his “Why don’t we go grab some food and then go back to your dorm?” He asked and Jin just nodded in response.
So off they went, gettin some take out and even going to buy some snacks too, Yoongi new that Jin was just waiting to get into his safe place before the let out his feelings, because that was one thing that Jin and yoongi had in common with each other, they both bottled up their feeling until they were either alone or with someone they trusted, which seemed to be each other.
Once they were at Jin’s dorm room, they both sat on the bed and without talking to one another they ate their takeout meals Yoongi knew that it was best to let Jin start talking when he was ready. The more you tried to get Jin to talk before he was ready the more withdrawn he’d become, much like Yoongi himself. So they ate in silence, once they were finished the younger one put the rubbish in the bin and then sat back next to Jin on his bed, sighing a little “You ready to talk yet or do you just want to cuddle?”
Jin thought about it for a while “Can we do both?”
Yoongi nodded in reply, Jin moved so that he was leaning back against the headboard, much like he had been a few days before when the younger had come to him for comfort after finding out that Hoseok had a boyfriend. Yoongi was pulled onto Jin’s lap so that the older one could cuddle him, this wasn’t exactly what Yoongi had meant when he had asked if Jin wanted to cuddle but this was what Jin wanted so he let him move him, until he was comfy.
Yoongi wrapped his arms around Jin, as the older one wrapped his arms around him and then moved so that his head was resting on top of Yoongi’s. It took a few minutes before Jin spoke “It was so hard not to cry when they confirmed they were dating…i don’t even remember either or them even saying that they hung out alone…”
Yoongi nodded as best as he could with his head resting on Jin’s chest “I know…. But at least we have each other right?”
Jin let out a breathy laugh, it was clear to the younger without having to look up at Jin that he was crying, so yoongi just held him a little tighter “Yeah, we’ll always have each other”

After finding out about Hoseok’s and Namjoon’ relationship, Jin and Yoongi spent as much time as they could with just the two of them and most nights Yoongi found himself staying the night at Jin’s dorm room. It wasn’t that they were both busy avoiding the two others but it had just happened, it was back to being how it was when they were kids, if you saw Jin, Yoongi wasn’t far behind and vice versa.
Both boys were doing better as the weeks passed, helping one another which mainly consisted of a lot of cuddling and just being next to each other without talking. Trips to the library to study or write up essays just to get out instead of being stuck in Jin’s dorm.
It was coming up to the holidays, most people that were living on campus had decided to go home but Jin and Yoongi had both decided to stay in Jin’s dorm room. Yoongi was packing a few things he’d need to take with him to Jin’s dorm so that he didn’t have to come back to his dorm room unless he really had to, he was packing away his laptop, when hoseok walked into the dorm room with Namjoon not far behind him “I didn’t think you were going home…”
Yoongi turned to look back at the two boys “Oh, I’m not… im going to stay in Jin’s dorm with him”
It was what was said next that surprised the older of the three of them “Are you two finally dating?” It was Namjoon that had spoken, Hoseok was nodding in agreement with what the other had said.
Yoongi shook his head “W-what?”
Hoseok looked surprised. “Are you not?”
“Noooo….”
Namjoon frowned “Honestly when I first met you two in high school, I thought you two were dating then… are you sure you're not?”
“No, we’ve never dated each other..” Yoongi had never felt so confused, is this what everyone thought about them both?
Hoseok just smiled and picked up his bags, we was going back with namjoon and spending a week with Namjoon’s parents and then a week with his own parents with Namjoon “Sorry, we shouldn’t of assumed, but you two act more of a couple and then we do”
Namjoon giggled and nodded in agreement “We better head off before we miss our train”
“Right!” Hoseok gave Yoongi a quick hug, before making his way out of the door “Have a good break Yoongi”
With that both boys left the room, unknowingly leaving Yoongi to over think and question his feelings for his best friend, did they really act like a couple? Sure they cuddled a lot and Jin was the only person Yoongi was willing to give affection to, the only person he would be honest with about his feelings. So of course Yoongi spent the next 30 minutes having a crisis. He had never thought of Jin as anything but his best friend, possible platonic soulmate with how easy it was for Yoongi to trust the older boy.
Yoongi calmed himself down and decided it was better not to think about it, so in true Yoongi style he ignored everything he was just overthinking about involving his and Jin’s relationship and just continued to pack his bag.
Meanwhile, Jin was busy in the shared kitchen cooking dinner for yoongi and himself, he finally had the time and an empty kitchen to work in, so while waiting for things to finish cooking he sent a quick text telling him to drop his things off at his dorm room and then come straight to the shared kitchen, also meant ironing he should hurry up because the food was almost cooked.
Jin was serving up the food when Yoongi quietly made his way into the kitchen as Jin turned with the plate “Just in time” he smiled brightly and placed the plates on the table “Sit down, you want a drink? Sorry we seem to only have bottled water…” he said as he looked in the fridge.
Jin then looked from the fridge over to Yoongi “unless you want a coffee?” He shrugged
Yoongi had sat at the table and shook his head at the offer of coffee “Waters fine”
Jin nodded and took two bottles of water from the fridge and then sat down at the table with the younger “Let’s eat” he grinned and started eating, Yoongi following his lead. The two sat in silence while they ate, it was a comtable, they were both just enjoying their food.
It had been a long time since Jin had been able to make a meal from scratch like he had today, normally he had only been able to make quick and easy meals. Soon enough, both boys were finished eating. Jin scratched his arms above his head “So what do you want to do first?”
Yoongi finished his bottle of water before looking at Jin as he stretched and the younger had no idea what was happening to him as he felt his cheeks warm up, couldn't believe it was him blushing? This was all Hoseok's fault.
Yoongi blinked and then Jin looked concerned “Are you ill?”
Yoongi shook his head “No, no I'm fine. Don’t worry”
“You sure?”
Yoongi nodded in reply “Yeah, I'm fine, promise. How about I wash the dishes and you dry them?”
Jin laughed and nodded “alright then”
Yoongi and Jin had casual conversation while they washed and dried the dishes and then put them away. They then both walked back to Jin’s dorm room and chatted along the way.
In true Jin style he suggested that they play a few games of Mario kart, knowing full well that he would win because Yoongi sucked at playing Mario, but it was alway fun nonetheless. They play for a few hours before Yoongi puts the switch controller down and lays down on the floor “i give up!”
The older puts the switch away and turns to look down at the younger laying on the floor an laughed “Okay, okay no more Mario kart. What do you wanna do, Yoonie?”
It was happening again, the younger’s cheeks warmed up at the nickname, this was definitely Hoseok’s fault. He never reacted to Jin calling him ‘Yoonie’ before but now he was, Yoongi would blame Hoseok for it “I erm… I don’t know”
Jin just shook his head and then checked the time, he looked back down at Yoongi and then told himself up, offering the younger one a hand to help him up “Let’s go for a walk and maybe get some snacks that we can eat later while watching a movie?”
Yoongi took the orders hand, cheeks becoming redder, why was he reacting like a school kid with their crush, this wasn’t Yoongi at all, he wasn’t even like this when he realized that he liked Hoseok. He got up and groaned “Do we have to? It’s cold out”
Jin laughed at Yoongi’s complaints as he threw the other boys coat at him and then putting on his own. Then grabbing two scarfs, he wrapped one around his neck before turning to Yoongi and wrapping the spare one he had around the youngers neck “There”
He grinned, they stared at each other for a moment before yoongi, snuggled his face down into the scarf to hide the blush that was once again on his cheeks “Thanks..”
Jin shook his head and made his way to the door but not before grabbing his keys, he opened the door and held it open waiting for the younger to walk out the door. In the moment he waited for Yoongi to walk out the door Jin started to have a mini crisis, what was that about? All he wanted to do at that moment was to kiss Yoongi’s forehead and give him a quick hug because of how adorable he looked with his pink tinted cheeks.
Once they were out the door, Jin quickly locked the door behind him. The two both walked off campus and ended up at the park, Jin being the be kid he is turns to Yoongi with a big smile “Race you to the swings”
Jin was off and Yoongi groaned “Nooooo, you no i don’t like running “ he called after him which Jin just laughed and continued to run, sitting himself on one of the two swings.
Yoongi had set off on a light jog and stopped just beside the swing set, trying to catch his breath, Yoongi and running didn’t mix “Why’d you have to make me run?”
The older laughed again and started swinging as Yoongi sat himself on the other swing “No body said you had to run”
The younger glared at him and just started swinging “You’re so mean to me Jinnie”
Jin stopped swinging and looked at the younger boy “You haven’t called me Jinnie since we were kids”
Yoongi bit his lip and also stopped swinging “I won't call you by that again if you don’t like it..”
Jin blushed lightly, when did Yoongi become so cute? He was quick to shake the thought from his head “No, it's fine” He shrugged a little and started swinging again “I guess I just missed you calling by that “ He smiled reassuringly at him.
Yoongi nodded and started swinging again and if he was blushing again, he was just going to blame it on the cold air hitting his cheeks. They stayed at the park for around an hour before deciding it was time to go get some snacks and to go back to the dorm to watch some movies, to which the younger had made Jin promise to make hot chocolate with all the trimming, because in Yoongi’s opinion the older made the best hot chocolate.
So that exactly what they did, they got their snacks and got back to the dorm, Jin made Yoongi go shower in his en-suite to warm himself up and to then get in his pj’s with the promise that is hot chocolate would be ready and waiting for him when he got out. After Yoongi had taken his shower and gotten into his warm pj's, he came out and snuggled under the blankets on Jin’s bed. Jin had set up his laptop with. Streaming site opened, he told the younger one to choose a movie for them to watch while he showered.
Yoongi relaxed a little and enjoyed his hot chocolate while he waited for Jin to join him, after finishing his hot chocolate he placed the cup on the bed side table and decided it was time to find a movie to watch, frowning when he hadn’t found one when Jin walked back into the room.
Jin stopped in front of the bed “What’s up?”
Yoongi sighed and looked away from the laptop and up at the older, why did he look so good with wet hair? Why was he thinking about it? Again Hoseok’s fault. He blinked, as if the blinking would rid himself of the thoughts that were currently going threw his head about Jin “I-I” He coughed a little and looked back at the laptop screen and started scrolling through the movies again “I haven’t found anything to watch…”
Jin nodded in understanding and just got in the bed under the blanket next to the younger “ How about this one?”
The younger looked at what Jin was pointing to and then nodded as he clicked on it “Sure”
Neither one of them knew what the movie was about but watched it nonetheless. They were about half way through the movie when Yoongi had fallen asleep, the older had wrapped his arm around him and pulled him close so that the younger's head was resting on his chest. The older man started lightly stroking Yoongi’s hair and soon enough Jin had also fallen asleep, the movie long forgotten.

Jin was the first one to wake up the next morning, the younger was still cuddled up to his side, his face still resting on his head still resting on the older boy's chest. Jin sighed softly, Yoongi looked absolutely adorable, even more so when he was sleeping, he always seemed to be pouting when he was asleep. He smiled lightly and decided that it was best to let Yoongi sleep a little longer seeing as Jin knew that the younger one never really slept much.
Jin started absence and mindlessly started lightly rubbing the younger boy's back. It was around 10 minutes later when he woke up, scrunching up his nose and groaning slightly. He blinked a few times before looking up at the older boy that he was still cuddling “Morning…” he yawned
The older chuckled “Morning Yoonie”
Yoongi yawned again before stilling up and then looking down at the older boy “How long have you been awake?”
Jin smiled and also sat himself, turning his body slightly so he was facing the younger “Around ten minutes”
Jin shrugged a little and Yoongi sent a glare Jin’s way which of course had no effect on Jin seeing as the younger was pouting at him as well. Adorable. Yoongi sighed and mumbled something along the lines of ‘why didn’t you wake me up?’ Which of course Jin ignored. The older climbed over the younger one and decided now was the right time to get changed into some clean clothes, which in turn sent Yoongi into a panic, not that Jin noticed at all.
He then made his way into the en-suite bathroom, presumably to wash up and put on water skin care that he put on that the younger never really paid much attention to. This gave the younger time to once again blame Hoseok for him having these thoughts and feelings about Jin. It was most definitely Hoseok’s fault.
Around 10 minutes later Jin emerged from the bathroom and then grabbed a hoodie that had been discarded on his desk chair. Jin had his arms in his hoodie, about to pull it over his head when he turned to look at Yoongi, who was quick to look away, suddenly the blanket seemed extremely interesting. Jin frowned “Are you okay? You’re face is all red?”
Yoongi mumbled “You’re so obvious” he sighed
Jin of course had pulled the hoodie over his head and hadn’t heard what the younger had said “What was that?”
Yoongi shook his head slightly and looked back up at Jin “i said that I’m fine”
“You sure?”
The younger nodded in reply and Jin smiled “Right, well I’m gonna go get us some breakfast from the cafe down the street from here” He walked over to his desk putting his keys and wallet in his hoodie pocket before grabbing his phone “Unless you wanna get dressed quickly and we can go eat together”
Yoongi pouted a little “Nooooooo,, it's too early to be outside”
Jin laughed and shook his head “I’ll be back in about 30 minutes okay?”
And with that the elder was out the door and off to go get them breakfast leaving the younger still sitting on the bed under the blanket, it took around five minutes for Yoongi to pull himself together and climb out of bed. Deciding it was best to get ready for the day before Jin returned, he made his way to the bathroom, after brushing his teeth Yoongi stood staring at all the skin care products Jin had and was trying to decide whether or not he should use some, but soon decided against it seeing as he had no idea what any of them were for. So the younger just decided to use the face wash and to be done with it.
It was once he had dried his face off, that he looked at himself in the mirror. He frowned and pulled at his skin a little, he pouted there was no way Jin would ever like him back, the older boy deserves someone prettier/handsome then what he is. He was quick to shake the thoughts away, Jin was his best friend and that was all they’d ever be.
He walked back into the bedroom area and made quick work in getting into clean clothes, frowning when he realized he hadn’t brought his hoodie with him, not wanting to go back to his own dorm room to get one he decided Jin wouldn’t mind him borrowing one of his.
He opened Jin’s wardrobe in search of a hoodie only to then realize that Jin only had colourful hoodie, he frowned a little there wasn’t even a gray hoodie for him to use. So once again he pouted and then decided on a light purple hoodie. He took it out and put it on, he probably looked silly, but it was fine, it's not like Yoongi had planned to go outside today, unless Jin drags him out of the dorm room.
He sighs and decides to make the bed, while doing so Jin comes back “I’m bac-“
The older cut himself off as he catches a look at the younger wearing his hoodie. The younger one looks up, he stops what he is doing and blinks when he notices that Jin is red in the face “Are you ill?” He walks slightly closer to where Jin is still standing by the door.
Jin shakes his head “No no, I’m fine, I’m fine. It was just a bit cold out” He smiles and then moves to put the bags of food down on the desk, looking away from Yoongi as he takes the food out from the bags, he couldn’t believe how absolutely adorable the younger looked in his hoodie, it was clearly to big for him and had sweater paws. Jin just wished at this moment he had someone to rant to about how adorable this boy is.
“So this is new, am I going to have to make sure I’ve got spare hoodie’s for you to steal?”
Yoongi’s cheeks are quick to heat up, he had made him blush, cute. Yoongi is quick to shake his head before grabbing his boxed food and a fork that had come with the food “No… I um, I forgot to pack my hoodie… I can take it off if its not okay…”
Jin watched the younger as he sat on his bed with the food, the older grabbed his food and sat next to the younger on the bed, still smiling brightly at the other boy “No Yoonie it fine” He shrugged a little opening his food “If anything it looks better on you than me”
Yoongi looks up after taking a bit of his food, he can feel his cheeks getting even warmer if that’s even possible “I doesn’t it look silly though? It’s like so big on me”
Swallowing his bit of food Jin just shakes his head “No, it looks cute on you”
If Yoongi’s face wasn’t bright red before it definitely was now with how much he was blushing, but instead of replying, he thought it was best to just finish eating his food and If the older noticed the blush on his cheeks he didn’t mention it. So that lead them to eating in almost silence apart from the few comments that were made,mainly by Jin about how good the food was.
Once they finished up they both cleaned away the food boxes and both decided to go to the library to get a head start on some essays they had, Yoongi obviously forgetting that he had told himself he wasn’t going to go out while wearing the older hoodie. They both packed a few note books and their laptops into their bags along with some books.
The boys took their time walking to the library, Yoongi talking Jin into letting him go get himself a coffee before they got to the library, in which Jin got himself a hot chocolate. Once they got the library they chose a table in a quieter area of the library and set up their things. When that was all done, Yoongi excused himself to go find a book that he needed for his essay. It took around 15,maybe 20 minutes for him to finally find the book he was looking for which had also came with an awkward conversation with a librarian, the younger was not very good with socializing with anyone, especially when he needed to ask someone for help.
He was nearing the table and stopped in his tracks when he saw someone there talking to Jin, he got a little closer so he could vaguely hear what the were talking about, the other guy talking to Jin was clearly flirting with the older boy, there goes Yoongi’s good mood. He frowns a little when he sees the two swap phones, clearly exchanging numbers. So, Yoongi decided that that was the right time to make himself known to the other boy that had been talking to Jin, even though Yoongi’s things were clearly next to where the older boy was sitting so the other boy would have known that Jin had come to the library with someone.
Neither of them seemed to notice that the younger had joined them at the table, he not so carefully put the book down on the table, well more like slammed it down on the table in annoyance and sat down, he started up his laptop, clearly ignoring the two boys. Yoongi had been blanking the two out so that he didn’t even know that the other guy had left the two alone. It wasn’t until Jin poked his arm that Yoongi was brought out of his thoughts, he was upset with Jin and mad at himself for being upset with Jin. He had no right to be upset with Jin, it wasn’t like Jin was his boyfriend or anything.
Jin had frowned when Yoongi had slammed his book down on the table and then had just ignored him and got on with whatever his essay was about. Seeing that Jin was know distracted the guy he had previously been talking to and had even exchanged numbers with had excused himself. Leaving Jin to deal with the younger boy. He bit his lip after the 5 minutes mark of Yoongi ignoring him when he called his name and of course he got no answer, so he poke his arm to get his attention and was then met with a pouty glare off the other “What’s wrong?”
The younger squinted his eyes at the older as he turned to look at him “Nothing, just let me do this” Yoongi gestured to his books and laptop and then turned away from him to continue what he had been doing before Jin had poked him.
Jin frowned, distracted from his work and trying to think about what he could have possibly done to annoy the younger. He sighed when he couldn’t think of anything he could have done to upset the boy, so he decided to wait until the younger was ready to talk to him. With that Jin made a start on his essay. It was around two hours later when Yoongi got up and starting packing his things away in his bag, which to Jin looked almost aggressive. Jin was about to speak when the younger bet him to it “I’m staying at my dorm tonight”
Yoongi put his bag on and Jin stood up “Wait why?”
Jin had started packing away his own things as quickly as he could, putting his backpack on. Yoongi glared at him as if the older one should already know why he wanted to go stay at his own dorm room. The younger rolled his eyes at him and walked out of the library, Jin following close behind him “Yoongi wait..” he called after him.
Yoongi was at least a foot or two in front of Jin seeing as he had been practically running away from the older one. He turned to face Jin. Jin frowned and Yoongi almost broke right then, Jin shouldn’t ever look this upset, especially not because of Yoongi and his jealous ass self “what?”
Jin stopped in front of Yoongi, giving him some space “Please tell me what’s wrong?”
Again Yoongi rolled his eyes “Maybe, just maybe if you weren’t so god damn obvious you’d know what was wrong!”
This shocked the older one, he’d never spoken to him like this before, even when they’d have arguments, Yoongi never raised his voice at him. Jin will be the first person to admit that he was somewhat obvious at times, but he was failing to see what was wrong. He knew the younger was upset, he could see the tears in eyes and then he knew why the younger had wanted to go to his own dorm, he hated crying in front of people, but Jin was different, he never really held himself back from crying or just coming right out and telling him what was upsetting him “Just tell me please”
Yoongi shook his head, wiping his eyes as he let some tears fall from his eyes “You’re so dumb. Just leave me alone”
He turned away to continue walking back to the campus, Jin was quick to follow behind him “Let’s just go back to my dorm and talk about whatever it is that has you so upset”
The younger had had enough, he just wanted to go back to his dorm, get in bed and cry himself to sleep, this is exactly why Yoongi refused to let himself just tell Jin about his feelings about him, the older boy deserves someone so much better than him, especially with how he was currently treating him, he knew he was being unfair to Jin but he couldn’t help but be upset with him. He stopped walking but didn’t turn around to see the older, he knew he would break when he saw the look that he knew would currently be on Jin’s face “If you want someone in your dorm that bad, why don’t you invite that guy over”
The older one stood in shock for a moment before saying “Maybe I will! At least he would probably telling what’s wrong instead of acting like i should already fucking know what wrong”
Jin regretted the words as soon as they left his mouth, even more so when he heard the sob that came from Yoongi, he’d actually made him cry, he said something that he knew would upset him, hitting the younger boy were it hurts because he knew Yoongi struggled with expressing himself and his feelings, he’d crossed the line.
Yoongi let out a sob when he heard those words come from Jin, it hurt, he knew what Jin had said was true, but it hurt like hell and with that Yoongi did what he does best and ran, he ran away from Jin and he was sure that he had heard the older shouting after him, telling him to come back and that he didn’t mean it. He ignored him and ran. To his dorm room, struggling to open the door to his dorm with his key, hands shaking.
As soon as he got into his room, he put his bag down and kicked his shoes off, not caring where they landed. He got into bed, pulling the blanket over his head as he cried, into the hoodie, Jin’s hoodie and that realization that he was wearing Jin’s hoodie made him cry harder, he was a horrid person. Jin shouldn’t have to be friends with Yoongi, maybe this would be the thing that would lead them to no longer being friends anymore and for a single moment Yoongi wanted to be selfish and go running back to Jin to beg him forgiveness, it was after all his own fault this had all happened in the first place.

Jin had run after yoongi trying to get him to come back to him, telling him that he was sorry, all he wanted to do was pull the younger boy into a hug and tell him everything that was so so perfect about him. Instead of going to Yoongi’s dorm room he went back to his own room. He then spent the next two hours going over everything before everything started making sense. Yoongi must have seen Jin and the other guy exchange numbers, the younger one was jealous. This then brought Jin to the realization that he had feelings for his best friend.
It finally clicked, it's why Yoongi had been so upset with him. The other guy, now that Jin had properly processed what happened, had clearly been flirting with him. The younger had been right; he was extremely oblivious to what was going on around him. He frowned and thought about texting the younger but he knew he wouldn’t get a reply, so instead he got himself up and left his dorm and made his way to Yoongi’s dorm room. He knocked on the door, he got no reply but he did hear some sniffling. At least he knew Yoongi had actually gone back to his dorm and hadn’t run off somewhere else.
The older sighed and knocked the door again “Yoongi, I know you’re in there”
Another sniffle was heard but there was still no answer. Frowning Jin sat himself on the floor, leaning his back against the door “I’ll stay out here until you open the door Yoonie, I’d much rather be telling you this to your face and not to your door”
Movement was heard on the other side of the door, he knew the younger had moved himself closer to the door, so he knew he should just start talking.
On the other side of the door, the younger had tried to quietly move closer to his door and had sat himself down, the least he could do is be close enough to Jin to actually hear what Jin wanted to tell him and so Yoongi prepared himself for the worst.
Jin took a deep breath before he started speaking “I’m sorry for saying what I said, you might not believe me, but I am sorry I knew saying that would hurt you and I said it anyway. Which I shouldn’t of said, for the record, its okay that you don’t express your feelings, as long as you talk to someone, even if that someone isn’t me”
Jin gave Yoongi a chance to reply but like he suspected he wouldn’t be getting a reply anytime soon, if ever “I’m sorry I didn’t notice sooner what was wrong, you’re right you know.” He lets out a breathy laugh as he hears some movement by the door, at least he knew the younger one was still listening to him.
“I don’t know how i didnt notice. Yoongi I wont think any differently of you for liking me” He paused and took in a deep breath, he really was about to admit this to a bloody door, he turned himself around so he was now facing the door instead of leaning his back against it.
“I wouldn’t think of you any differently because I like you too Yoonie, to clarify i mean more than a friend” It was that moment that he heard the lock of the door unlock and open and was greeted by a teary eyed Yoongi shockingly still wearing his hoodie. Jin stood up from the floor.
Yoongi bit his lip, taking in Jin’s appearance “You mean it?” He questioned “You like me more than a friend”
Jin was quick to nodded “Yeah, I do. I wouldn’t lie about something like that Yoonie, that’d be way too cruel to do”
Just like that Yoongi was hugging Jin and continuously apologizing to him as he cried. Jin wrapped his arms around the boy, holding him close. He kissed the top of the younger one's head before pulling Yoongi away slightly so that he could see his face “ it’s okay, it's fine, we’re going to be fine okay?”
Yoongi nodded and allowed Jin to wipe away the tears that were still running down his cheeks. The older one leaned his forehead against the younger ones, he gave a little smile as he spoke “See, we’re going to be fine so please stop crying. You know i hate seeing you cry darling”
The younger of the two, smiled slightly, tears coming to a stop. Jin grinned and wiped away the last few tears from Yoongi’s face “So with that said… Will you do me the honor of being my boyfriend Yoongi?”
Yoongi nodded, smiling brightly, the smile that Jin loved seeing, gums and teeth showing, it was an adorable sight to see. “Yeah… I’d love to be your boyfriend”
The older of the two grinned and leaned forward and kissed Yoongi gently. Yoongi returned the kiss, Jin pulled away after a short while, too soon if you were to ask Yoongi, but he wouldn’t say anything. Jin then pulled Yoongi over to the bed, kicking his shoes off as he got by the youngers bed before getting on the bed and sitting so that his back was leaning against the headboard before pulling Yoongi down onto his lap “Let’s cuddle”
Yoongi nodded and hid his face in the crook of Jin’s neck, wrapping his arms around him. They stayed like that for a while before Jin caught Yoongi trying to hide his yawning. With a chuckle Jin kissed the top of his head “Go to sleep baby, it’s been a long day and when you wake up i’ll take you to get lamb skewers or whatever you want okay?’
Yoongi nodded and yawned again before letting his eyes close, Jin had started stroking his back lightly, to encourage the younger boy to sleep. It wasn’t long until Jin himself also fell asleep too.

It had been a few years since Jin and Yoongi had gotten together they had both now finished college and were moving into their new apartment, which Jin’s parents had insisted they brought for the two of them, much to Yoongi’s displeasure, but Yoongi knew from experience that once Jin’s parents had an idea in their heads it was pointless trying to stop them.
Yoongi as much as he didn’t want Jin’s parents buying them an apartment that he’d be eternally grateful for doing this for them. Yoongi’s parents not being as well off as Jin’s had helped out by buying some furniture for the two boys, even though both boys, who had pretty good paying jobs at this point could have paid for most things themselves but again, Yoongi’s parents were having none of it. If Jin didn’t know before where Yoongi got his stubbornness from he would have found out now, he definitely got the stubbornness from his mom.
Before moving into this apartment they had both rented a 2 bed apartment with Namjoon and Hoseok, which had been close to their college. Once Yoongi and Jin found out that Jimin and Taehyung along with Jungkook were going to be attending their old college they decided to look for a knew place to live and Hoseok and Namjoon who both still had another year or two at the college due to taking a course or two more had asked the 3 other boys if they wanted to share a apartment with them. So Hoseok and Namjoon had both found a bigger apartment to fit them all, which Jin and Yoongi had helped them move into and also lived in with for a month while they waited for everything to be finalized with the apartment that Jin’s parents were buying them.
Today was finally their moving day and Jin and Yoongi couldn’t be more grateful to their friends and parents for all the help they had given them, helping them pack and then helping them move everything into the apartment. Yoongi’s and Jin’s parents had both gone home, refusing to stay for take out, saying they just wanted to get home, to which Jin’s parents had then invited Yoongi’s parents over for food and a few drinks which they accepted seeing as they only lived a few houses away from each other.
After 10 minutes of the seven boys arguing over what food they wanted, they finally decided on what they wanted and so Jin along with Yoongi left the five boys while they went out to get takeout for them. They were walking down the street hand in hand. Yoongi let out a soft sigh before saying “I can’t wait to go to bed later”
Jin nodded in agreement “ i don’t remember moving being so tiring”
Yoongi giggled slightly and got up on his tiptoes to kiss Jin’s cheek “Well we wouldn’t of been completely unpacked if it wasn’t for all the help we’ve had and just imagine how tired we’d of been then”
Jin laughed “You’re right, thank god we have such good friends and parents”
They continued their walk, Yoongi hadn’t really been paying attention to where they had been walking, letting Jin take the lead. That was until they stopped in front of the park, it wasn’t really a park it was more of a community garden, there weren't any children’s playgrounds on there, but it looked so pretty, all the flowers starting to bloom. Yoongi looked up at Jin “Why’d we stop here? I thought we were just going to get food to feed the brats we left at home”
Jin smiled and looked down at the younger “ I did some research about this area a few weeks back and saw that this wasn’t far from our new home. Everyone in the reviews talked about how pretty the place looked when the flowers were first starting to bloom, so I thought a little detour to here would be nice… I mean they aren’t wrong, it all looks so pretty”
Yoongi nodded he couldn’t agree more “Shall we take a walk around then? I’m sure Namjoon can keep the brats in order till we get back… as long as he stays out of the kitchen”
They both laughed at that, Jin nodded though and they both started walking around the garden, it was actually mesmerizing. They walked around for a good 15 minutes before they got to the center. Yoongi let go of Jin’s hand and walked over to some flowers. Jin could help but smile at the sight. Jin put his hand in his pocket, feeling the small box that he had put in his coat pocket before they had left the apartment, he had pre warned the other five boys that they would be out for a while and of course they had all guess why they’d be out longer then they should be but they had all given him their well wishes.
He watches Yoongi for a while before finally pulling the box from his pocket, he moves closer to his partner before getting down on one knee behind him “Yoongi?”
Yoongi turned around, only to find Jin down on one knee with a ring box open, a simple yet very beautiful ring placed in the box, his eyes instantly got teary “What..” he whispered so quietly that Jin almost didn’t hear him.
Jin smiled “Yoongi, you’re my best friend, and I can’t imagine not having you beside me. I promise that I’ll always try to make you laugh, I can’t promise that I’ll stop with the dad jokes, they are my specialty after all”
Yoongi gives a teary laugh at that but waited for Jin to continue on with his speech “ I will always be next to you when you need me, I have admittedly taken you for granted before when we were only best friends, but i promise that I wont anymore, I’ll always be grateful for you being here for me and for just having you in my life. Words will never explain how much I love you, so with that being said, will you do me the honor of marrying me?”
Yoongi was speechless, tears falling from his eyes. He pretty much jumped into Jin’s arms as soon as he stood back up “Yes, of course I will”
Jin was also teary eyed at this point, he gave Yoongi a kiss, which left them both breathless. Jin took the ring and slipped it onto Yoongi’s finger. Yoongi stared at the ring on his finger for a while before looking back up at Jin “I love you”
“I love you too Yoongichi” Jin pressed a light kiss to the youngers forehead before pulling him into a hug.
The two boys stayed like that for a while before deciding it was best they go get food and drinks so they could go back home and celebrate with their closest friends and hopefully their place was still intact when they got back.
They as quickly as they could got back to their new home, half expecting it to be on fire when they got back but thankfully everything was how they left it, well mostly. The tv had been set up and the 5 boys they had left behind were watching something on Netflix, which Yoongi had no interest in finding out what it was they were watching. As soon as they were close enough to the living room chaos broke out with shouts of asking how it went and then after seeing the ring on Yoongi’s finger a lot of congratulations and hugging happened.
Yoongi had never been one for hugs, especially from the other boys, he did occasionally let them hug him but it was a rare thing to happen but Yoongi sighed and just let the endless amount of hugs happen, he knew it was coming before he even got back to the apartment.
After a while two older boys managed to calm the rest of them down enough so they could sit around the coffee table and eat before the food got too cold. Once all the food was gone and a few drinks along with some toast, which Yoongi thought were silly, he collected the plates and rubbish with the help of Hoseok who insisted he should help, seeing as Jin was already playing Mario kart along with Jimin and Jungkook. Taehyung and Namjoon talking away, not paying attention to any of the others.
Once Hoseok and Yoongi were in the kitchen Yoongi made a start on washing up while Hoseok threw out anything that couldn’t be kept for leftovers and packing away what could be reheated into tubs and putting them into the fridge. The older of two knew the younger one wanted to say something, but Yoongi wouldn’t say anything and the only reason he knew is because Hoseok was never really this quiet.
Hoseok made his way over to the sink, he grabbed a tea towel and started to wipe the plates dry, he sighed before he spoke “I’m glad you and Jin are together..” The older stopped what he was doing and turned slightly to look at the younger, he waited for him to continue, he knew he had more to say.
Hoseok smiled, he knew he had confused Yoongi by saying this out of the blue “I always had the feeling you two would end up together”
“What do you mean?” Yoongi had never felt as confused as he currently was right now.
Hoseok just continued with drying the plates, smile still present on his face “You two have always had a special bond. It was creepy at times, but it was also very cute. Like neither of you even had to say anything to know that something was wrong with the other one.” He shrugs a little as he puts the plate he was holding down onto the counter along with the towel.
“You two are both very good at hiding your feelings, especially you. Don’t deny it Yoongi, we all know you bottle up your feelings and it was always Jin that’d already know but he’d wait for you to come to him before saying anything because he didn’t want to push away by asking.”
He sighed lightly “He’d always tell us ‘Something’s wrong with Yoongi but please don’t mention it but don’t worry either, Jin will help him’- he always just knew and its the same way you were with him. You tell us not to be too loud or to try to be calmer around him. I knew that was just your way of saying ‘Jin’s upset but let me handle it’
Yoongi blinked a few times “We're really like that?”
Hoseok let out a light laugh and nodded “Honestly, it was sweet. The way you two cared for each other so deeply. It was almost like you two had silent conversations sometimes. Don’t tell the others, but we’d always talk about how cute you both would be when you finally became a couple”
Yoongi’s eyes widened slightly “You all talked about us getting together?”
Hoseok nodded “Yeah! Honestly, the amount of times we had to talk Taehyung out of locking the two into a closet at school in hopes it’d make you to confess to each other”
“Well, um thanks for that “ they were both laughing when Jungkook made his way into the kitchen.
Jungkook grinned “Hobi! Namjoon says its time to go home and leave the love birds to do their thing”
Jungkook laughed and ran for it as soon as he saw Yoongi pick up the tea towel and aim it at him, of course he missed “I’ll give you love birds in a minute Jeon Jungkook”
More laughing could be heard from the living along with a “Oh no not my full legal name” from the youngest of the boys.
Soon enough the boys had said their goodbyes and left the oldest two alone. After a quick cuddle both boys decided to get ready for bed, the day had been extremely exhausting for the both of them and they were both ready to just cuddle in bed with each other and get some well earned sleep.
Once they had washed their faces and brushed their teeth and gone through the rest of their skin care routines much to Yoong’s displeasure, the younger had tried to escape and just go to bed, but Jin was instant on them not missing their skin routines, which Yoongi hadn’t had one until they had moved in with each other, the next day older of the two had taken Yoongi shopping to find him products for his own skin care routine.
After around 15 minutes they were both in bed cuddled up to each other, Yoongi’s head resting on Jin’s chest “Thank you for loving me”
Jin kissed the top of Yoongi’s head, holding him a little closer “I think I may have always loved you Min Yoongi, it just took me a long time to realise it” he looked down only to find Yoongi was already asleep. He let himself watch Yoongi sleep for a whil before letting himself fall asleep.
