Each decoration had it’s place, Abi knows that even as she moves to adjust an ornament where it had come close to falling from the ceiling, her smile soft at the sound of Alex humming Christmas songs as she cooked. It might be a weird arrangement, she’s always been a little unsure of herself, but it works.
Abi’s decorations hang on a separate tree, one covered with meaningful decorations, made by her fiancée or friends. Alex’s own is covered with her son’s gifts, small trinkets that mean everything. The two had adapted to one another easily, surprised by how easy the whole thing felt.
