Work Text:
-Hey leif?
Forrest asked she looked like she noticed something wrong or at least strange
-yeah whats up
Leif seemed different, more fidgety maybe he was getting sick, that light in his eyes was fading not in an emotional way but instead in a physical way. One eye was faded
-your eye is fading, you know that right?
Forres asked her brother she seemed more distant or maybe colder than normal, she was normally blunt but not this blunt
-...
Leif stayed quiet seemingly hiding in his own mind
-
Forrest chose to wait, it was better to let him admit it himself than give him a chance to lie or hide the reality of the situation
-i know. Are you going to heal it?
The ladder statement was less a question and more a hopeful demand. He seemed to have matured in this situation, unlike his normal self.
-well if that's what you want
Forrest heals the eye, she simply takes the stems of the illness for herself instead, leaving leif with just the roots of the illness.
