Work Text:

"You're all better off forgetting everything that has happened in this world!"

Honestly! He never thought there'd be a day when he'd end up in the most embarrassing situation in his life! He couldn't really believe that everyone—even Keiwa!—would tease him so much, just because his personality had drastically changed due to being split into four. But he'd make sure that everyone would forget about it... not even after touching their core IDs again would those specific memories resurface anymore!

And that should be the end of it...

"Pfft—!"

There he goes again, Ace had already lost count of how many times Keiwa had suddenly burst into laughter for no reason. How did he know? Well, he had been watching Keiwa for a while today after all... as the Tanuki rider went about doing his thing. Not that Ace had been stalking Keiwa all these times... just that, once in a while he couldn't help going back to his usual routine of watching over Keiwa's 'peaceful' days. Because to him, 'world peace' is basically seeing Keiwa living his normal life... being happy. Because 'that' would be his 'world peace' too.

But seriously! What was it that kept amusing Keiwa so much that Keiwa kept grinning and smiling to himself? What funny videos did Keiwa watch or what was it that Keiwa saw or read that was so funny it made the man be so cheerful all day?

"Oh! You're here..." exclaimed Keiwa when Ace appeared before him as the man immediately pulled Ace into their warm embrace. Keiwa didn't even hide it anymore now. As if Keiwa had always anticipated him to come to visit them at any point of the day.

For some reason lately, even before he could make his presence known... Keiwa always seemed to be able to sense his approach and react accordingly. Just when he thought he could surprise Keiwa by doing something unexpected, Keiwa always ended up turning the tables on him. It started to get so weird...

Ace was almost reluctant to pull away from Keiwa as it felt so good to be embraced and kissed so lovingly by someone so precious.

"You were smiling all day," Ace started to say as Keiwa gave him an amused look. "Is there something that made you so happy today?"

Keiwa snorted immediately before shrugging. "Nah... it's nothing peculiar. Just that I watched a very funny video this morning..."

Ace blinked at him, puzzled. "What kind of video was so funny that you end up laughing all day?"

Keiwa chuckled."Just a cute video of a red fox getting so excited playing with snow... I can't help thinking about you when I watched it."

"Eh?" Ace immediately smiled widely. "What? Why though?", he asked as Keiwa pulled out their phone and showed him the video. After a while, Ace's face turned red right away. Because the video started showing a clip of a red fox jumping into a pile of snow and getting stuck in it. The secondhand embarrassment hit him so hard it was as if he was the one being filmed in the vid and got himself stuck in the snow with his butt jutting out in an embarrassing position!

"Tyc—Keiwa! Why are you thinking about ME when you're watching these kinds of videos? Just because I'm a FOX? I'm not as silly as these wild foxes! There's NO WAY I'd ever behave like that!"

Keiwa chuckled again as he placed a hand over his mouth. "Haha... says someone who had fallen off a horse not so long ago..."

Ace's ears twitched at hearing that as he turned his head towards Keiwa. "W-what? What did you mean that I've fallen off a—? What slander are you trying to pin on me, Kei—Tycoon?"

Keiwa laughed again as he not-so-innocently grinned at Ace. "Oh really? That's not how I heard it from Win-san. I wished I could see it in person... Ace falling off the back of a horse!" Keiwa giggled. "But hey, at least I got to see you being so silly at the playground, falling down the slides and trying to shoot down some Jyamato using a watering pot—!"

Ace stared at Keiwa in complete horror. HOW? He thought that he made sure that everyone would forget about the incident... so how? How could Keiwa still be able to remember...?

Keiwa just rolled his eyes at Ace. "Don't make that face at me... Ace. You should accept it already, no matter what you do... you'll never make me forget about anything. Somehow one way ot another... I'd end up retaining the memories anyway in the end..."

Ace pouted as that prompted Keiwa to come over and give him a hug. "Don't be so down, Ace. Despite everything, it just made you become even more endearing. Don't mind it too much—"

Ace immediately covered his face with his hands.

"I hate this. Of all people, why did YOU have to remember everything still—?" Ace whined pathetically.

Keiwa kept on kissing Ace on the cheek to make the other feel better. He laughed as Ace turned around to hold him tightly, burying their face on his shoulders out of embarrassment. Keiwa patted Ace's back gently.

"Don't fret so much... Ace. At least, as far as I'm aware... the others still didn't remember anything about the last incident. They had no recollection of the memories."

"Are you sure—?"

Ace had looked up towards him wearing the most adorable-looking face Keiwa had ever seen. How could he continue teasing this poor guy after staring down at that face? He would've have the heart to keep tormenting the other for too long.

"Really... Ace. Why would I lie to you about this?"

"Because you want to get back at me for everything that happened in the past?"

"Heh... I'm not that kind of a petty person—"

"Really?"

Keiwa smiled mischievously as he pinched Ace's cheeks. The alarm on his phone suddenly rang and Keiwa immediately got up to his feet.

"Ah, Ace! I gotta go... I had another class after this—"

Before Keiwa could leave though, Ace once again pulled him into an embrace... much to Keiwa's amusement.

"Gosh, Ace..." Keiwa chuckled as he felt Ace's face pressing against the back of his neck. He grinned again.

"So... should we check to make sure about it? How about we go play the ocarina in front of the others to see if they still remember the incident?'

Right away Ace started to scream at him in response.

"Aah, Keiwa... stop it!"

Really... if only it's possible to make everyone forget about such an embarrassing moment.

Notes:

I just want to write out this dumb scenario lol... also cos I feel that Keiwa would still remember about everything regardless, and who'd miss a chance to tease Ace again about stuff?
