Etho wasn’t sure what he was running from, he was just running. He could be running for fear of losing an hour or running cause he wanted to. But he was running. But all he knew was that he was running.
And he ran. Etho ran so far he reach the border not close to where anyone had built. By the time he finally stop, he was out of breath. Etho would probably pass out if he didn’t sit down so he sat.
Etho was breathing heavily by now, alone on the grass. When his breathing had finally calmed down he finally realised what he had done. He just ran away, in the middle of a fight cause he felt like running.
If he isn’t dead right now, then Bdubs sure of hell will make sure that he is. And in all honesty, he’d be okay with that. Etho’s heard the clockers many plans to kill him. And he just gave them the best opportunity.
Even though he’s meant to be afraid, he couldn’t bring himself to be. Even if Bdubs went through with the plan, he’d still have time. Etho couldn’t be scared because he held hope that Bdubs wouldn’t kill him.
Even though the sun was high in the sky, practically blazing down on him, he took a nap. He leaned against a tree comfortably, closing his eyes. Just to rest from the run. Etho will be fine just for a little, right?
Wrong, when he woke up there was a very angry red Bdubs standing above him. He held his sword to Etho’s throat. Even tho he was Meant to be scared, all he could do was chuckle.
“Hey! What you laughing about?!” Bdubs shrieked, seeming even more angry. All that did was cause him to laugh even more. He pressed the sword closer, almost threatening to break skin.
But all Etho did was laugh. It was funny. Silly even. He wasn’t afraid at all for the fact he could die right there and no one would know what happened. And he just couldn’t bring himself to care.
“Tell me, did you ever imagine you’d die like this?” Bdubs threatened, trying in a last ditch effort to scare him. To prove he had the power in this situation.
And he just laughed. Because he already knew that this would happen sooner or later. And he just couldn’t care. Not even a little. “Actually, yes. This is exactly how I imagined I’d die.”
Bdubs hesitate when he leaned against the sword. He drew his sword back, almost scared. And maybe he was. “I- This never happened.” Then he ran.
Etho was left alone again, laughing like a maniac. Looking like he was going crazy. Be cause it was funny. Funny that Cleo thought that Bdubs would kill him. And it was funny so he laughed.
