In the city in the land of mountains that reach high into the clouds there were two dragons lived. They danced through the sky and protected the city of liyue for hundreds of years.
The two lover went through hell and back before they could relax and finally be at peace.
Both of them are special, one of them is the archon of liyue and the other a warrior trained to protect the people and the dear ones around her. But even after years she simply cannot catch a break.
So one of them made a deal…
“where is this blockhead, i swear one day i will catch him off guard and strangle him” this is Izanami. As you could have guessed shes searching for her partner.
Izanami stops and looks around liyue not seeing her beloved husband at his usual sitting spot. Grumbling she turns around and pinches her nose.
“Hes probably in the mountains walking miles and miles in no direction at all” she smiles to herself. She then shakes her head and start walking towards the end of the city to search for her husband.
As tiring as mountains can be Izanami climbed the highest one in no time collecting some violetgrass while she was at it, shes sure Baizhu will need some in the future.
shes looking un every direction trying to spot a brown blob that would be her husband…no luck sadly.
”curses where is he?” Izanami asked herself while sitting on the ground when she notices something strange…no qingxin flowers were on top of this mountain.
usually they grow on the top of every cliff and highest point of liyue. And the aura around here was strange as well, it was divine but she couldn't place it from whom. “Did he walk here?” She questioned outloud.
She was looking at the ground trying to figure out why there is no flowers when she saw little sparkles in front of her eyes. Looking up she saw a geo crystalfly.
smiling she extended her hand and let the crystalfly on her palm “what are you doing here fella? Aren't you a bit far from some caves? Is it your energy that im feeling?” Then the crystalfly took off into the sky.
”wait for me!” She cried after the little creature and followed him jumping from mountain to mountain. After a good while of chasing the crystalfly she lost sight of it.
”Damn” she sighed and laughed to herself. “I was being silly thinking it would bring me to him, where is he still anyway?” Izanami asked herself again when something grabbed her at her waist.
SMACK!
She tried to hit the intruder but to her dismay it didnt budge. The only thing she heard was a chuckle “now why would you attack your husband?” A deep voice asked behind her. Then a head leaned on her shoulder giving a kiss under her jaw.
”i was searching for you, you know. You weren't at your usual spot” the hug tightened against her “well my apologies but i needed to get you to rest, and what better way than to lure you right to me” he spun her around and their eyes met.
his golden eyes decorated with red eyeliner were looking straight at her with love and affection. He cupped he face and gave her a kiss.
then suddenly a banquet of qingxin lillies were presented in front of her.
”i knew it was you!” She took them and took a whip of their smell “i could feel your energy on the top of the mountain” she muttered and leaned into his shoulder smiling.
”well i had to leave something to entertain you, cant go without a day of not giving you a present” he said while stroking her hair. “No i have prepared a special thing for both of us” he took her hand and started guiding her towards a cottage that was located somewhere where nobody can bother them.
Zhongli lead her into the cottage and invited her in like a true gentleman he is. Izanami smiles and gave him a quick kiss and he returned it. He lead her to the bed and sat her down “now i have decided that you will have one day a month where you completely relax” he stated.
”what about a contract, dont you need that and what if i do not agree” she teased back. “I have made this contract with myself so its sealed” he said matter-of-factly and she laughed. “You need to take time off i had to do something and making a contract was the only way” he rambled on.
Izanami laughed and pulled Zhongli down on the bed with her laughing and kissing his cheek. “You silly man, i would have agreed either way…but i have one demand” she spoke and leaned on his chest. She hugged him tightly and he pulled a comforter around them to keep them warm. He kissed her head and smiled at her fondly.
”i will be sure to fulfill this demand of yours” he spoke hugging her closer to himself. She leaned on his chest “these days must be spent with you and me alone…and cuddles” she mumbled relaxing.
”well then…i can assure you that this was in the fine print of the contract already” he says as both spend the day with each other relaxed.
