Chapter Text
I would say that spending time with you feels like a miracle.
…
"My dream?"
That's a weird question coming from you, Sensei. But, I guess that's a part of your job.
"Yes, Hoshino. What would you say is your dream for the future?"
"Hmm… My dream would be to retire in an old person daycare and take naps all day long~."
He frowned. "Please take this seriously, Hoshino."
But I was serious. Maybe a tiny bit. I hadn't thought about my dream in such a long time that I forgot if I had one. Chalk it up to my memory not being what it used to be.
"You must have something you want," Sensei said, "It doesn't have to be realistic. It can even be something insane."
"Hey, what are you implying with that?"
Compared to the others, I would say I was relatively normal— completely grounded in reality. Common sense came as naturally to me as a whale holding its breath underwater while it sleeps.
…Wait, that wasn't right.
"Just answer the question."
I sighed. Sensei could be quite persistent when he wanted to be; it was, frankly, annoying. He won't lay off my back unless I answer truthfully.
Well… there was that…
"If I had to pick one…"
"Yes?"
"My dream… would be to experience a miracle."
