Disney December - Christmas Life

Summary:

Cinderella and Charming celebrate married life!

Notes:

Work Text:

It was on a Friday night that she got the news.

“Y-Your Majesty, Queen Ella! Urgent news, urgent news!”

It was Nurse Winifred. She was always there whenever there was something going on health-wise.

“What’s the matter, Lady Winifred?” Ella responded urgently, her eyes wandering to the nurse’s appearance.

The nurse’s brunette hair was wandering in a messy bun, clothes ruffled and messy. She had clearly been working a lot lately, but this was unexpected.

“The results...”

Oh.

Ella walked into the infirmary, where she was greeted by her Fairy Godmother, who had this expressionless look on her plump face. She looked not only shocked, but concerned.

“Ella!” The Fairy Godmother seemed grateful about the queen’s appearance.

“What’s the matter, Fairy Godmother?” Ella asked upon sighting the old lady. Ella’s golden hair rose around her neck as she stared at her.

“Well- you’re due for, erm, triplets , Ella,” Fairy Godmother frowned.

“Did I hear that right!?” Ella gaped.

“Yes,” Fairy Godmother sighed in response.

Oh no.

9 Months Later... December 24th

Ella had finally given birth to the triplets. And on Christmas Eve no less! It was a shock to the entirety of the kingdom, the three daughters giggling in their little crib. A feast was held and all of the royalty and others had come to celebrate the union of the three triplets.

Ella was so happy to be able to give her daughters a life much different than hers. She didn’t want them to have to go through the horrible things that she had gone through back when she was a child. She hoped to raise her kids in a manner that her mother would’ve if she had lived.

She and Charming sat delicately on the banks by the river that they had danced by oh so long ago. A lot has changed since then. Ella’s stepmother had been exiled from the kingdom, and word had it that she had died on her way to one of the neighboring kingdoms. No rumors about Ella’s stepsisters, though, which kind of worried the couple. Would they come back, in nothing but rags, sometime in the near future?

They would.

A few days following the birth of Ysabelon, Ozanne, and Iohanna, the coming of two ladies came. One of them had dirty red hair, clearly unkempt for months without end. The other had this muddy black hair, filled with shambles of leaves and twigs. Both wore these weird brown rags. The women were greeted by the appearance of Ella and Charming.

“What do you want?” Charming angrily looked at the ladies who had cost his wife so much trouble in the past.

“Food,” Anastasia cried.

“You really think you are getting any food from us?” Jaq climbed through the pale white crack near the entrance of the castle.

“Please,” Drizella murmured.

They were easily dismissed by Charming, who then took Ella’s side and the two walked back to the room with the babies.

Ella had just gotten pregnant again, and things were a mess in the castle. The triplets were starting to crawl around and were learning to talk.

It had been about a year since Ella’s first pregnancy, so it wasn’t that surprising that the babies were finally doing so much more. The nurses at the castle had their work filled.

Charming was working a lot in his cramped up room. He and Ella were due to come to a neighboring kingdom soon, and thus they need to dress comfortably.

They finally had arrived in the kingdom of Rosamond, smiles on both of their faces as they entered the kept kingdom. It was filled with these beautifully lush trees and the two kissed as they made their way in.

10 Years Later...

“It’s His Highness, Prince Adelard!”

“The first prince of the kingdom!”

It was winter again. Ella and Charming kissing in bed under the midnight sky. Prince Adelard had finally made his way on his first journey, and they were so proud.
