Draco Malfoy looked at the door to his office with a strange fascination, still surprised after an entire term that he had been entrusted to be a teacher at Hogwarts. He was just about to enter when an arm slung over his shoulder and the familiar scent of peppermint wafted to his nose.
"Professor Malfoy," Harry said, pressing a kiss to Draco's temple. Draco shoved him off gently and fixed the hair that had been mussed by the action. "Still can't believe you ended up back here."
All of Draco's insecurities rose to the front as he opened the door and let them both inside. There was a small tree, decorated for the holiday, as well as some charmed lights flashing red and green. "Why's that?"
"Because you had a chance to play for the Cannon's with your charming and good-looking husband? Because Potions was your best subject in school and they convinced you to teach Muggle Studies? Because we just bought a lovely flat that's now empty since we both spend all our time here?" With each objection Harry moved closer into Draco's space, ending with a kiss that heated Draco's blood. "I'm proud of you, Draco. Merry Christmas."
