A dying star was reborn not as a star or a planet, but a person. He would be named Estrella’s Niño, or Star’s Child, and the child would stay in the vast abes known as space.
Then, a young explorer would find the child and take him in. When the explorer aged 10 years while the child would only age 1 year, he immediately knew he was dealing with a star child. The child would age very slowly and outlive every person that took him in.
The 6th person that took the child in would give him his name, Astraeus, and would finally bring him out of the space that he knew his whole life. However, he would be given the task of making friends. So, he was given an easier name, Planet, to keep with his star being roots.
Planet wouldn’t meet anyone that accepted him as he was. People would kidnap him and use him, because the star metal that he could make was very valuable, and a being able to make it only came around every 100 years. Also, at this point he was equivalent to an eight-year-old, so he didn’t know better and made things for whoever wanted them.
As he got older, he would learn that he shouldn’t let himself be kidnapped every other day to be used to make star metal.
One day, when Planet was 16, a trio of boys got locked into a room next to him, and he would find joy in interacting with them. Their names were Parrot, Woogie, and Vortex, and Parrot had just gotten in trouble for trying to start a new server underage. Apparently, you had to be at least 18 to do that, and the other two got locked up due to association with Parrot.
Parrot explained all this to Planet when they met, and Planet would respond by introducing himself to the trio.
“Well, that’s not a good thing. Hi, my name is Planet.”
“Well, hi Planet! What are you doing here?” Parrot asked.
Planet sighed. "Waiting…”
“Oh, why?” Vortex asked.
“I am waiting to be sold to the next highest bidder. I bet you noticed what they made my prison out of,” Planet murmured, still sad about his current predicament.
“Yeah, netherite. It weakens starbeings, which are very rare— there hasn’t been one for quite awhile,” Parrot explained, turning to Vortex.
“200 years. Right, Vortex?” Woogie asked, looking at his best friend. Vortex opens his mouth to respond but Planet beats Vortex to it
“Yeah, 200 years. Oh, and hi! Nice to meet you.”
Vortex stood thinking, before seeming to come to a conclusion. “Wait, so this is why no one knows about you. You’re always kept secret and sold to whoever wants to use you.”
“Yep. And I always end up here. It’s sad, I know, but I have gotten used to it. I have been doing this since I was uhh— probably 10 in human years,” Planet said, fingers tapping on his chin.
“And how old are you now?” Woogie asked.
“Uh, 16 in human years.”
The trio stuffened. “Oh god, okay, we will be getting you out with us,” Parrot said with confidence.
“Wait, really?!” Planet gasped, surprised they wanted to help him.
Parrot nodded. “Yeah, you shouldn’t be here anymore. You shouldn’t have to be sold to the highest bidder just because of what you can do.”
“Do you know when the next auction is, so we can prepare and be out of here by then?” Woogie asked.
“Uh, four days, I think.”
Anyways, Planet, your english is pretty good for being a star child,” Vortex said.
“Wait, is it not supposed to be?” Planet asked, confused.
“Uh, it can be— it’s just normally hard for your kind to pick up our language.”
As Vortex and Planet talked, Woogie and Parrot figured out a way to get them out. They made a plan to have an ally of theirs buy Planet the day of the auction, and the ally would slip Planet something that would then allow Parrot to break them out.
Parrot was the most experienced in breaking out of places and messing with the system. His plan was to have their ally slip Planet something for parrot to use. Planet would later find out the ally’s name was Mappic. Parrot, Woogie, and Vortex knew Mappic through the exact same reason they are locked up in there for.
The only item Mappic had for Planet was a small paperclip.
But it wasn’t small for Parrot. It would allow him to get out of his bounds that were preventing him from using the powers he gets as an admin.
And Parrot does exactly that. Once the guards that watched over Planet left to swap, he used the paperclip from Mappic and slipped one end of it down the small release hole of his bounds. It made a click sound and they fell off, but Parrot made sure to catch them before they fell and made noise.
A pair of multicolor wings sprouted from his back. Parrot grabbed Vortex and Woogie, and the trio appeared in Planet’s cage. Parrot then teleports the group again, but this time outside of a small window in the trio’s cell area.
“Well, we’re going to head out now. Thanks for keeping us company while we were trapped, Planet,” Parrot said.
Planet hesitated. “Actually… Can I tag along with you guys?” Planet asked.
“Uh, sure! I mean we are going to my server, so do you just want to join that?” Parrot said
“Yeah, sure! I think it will be fun.”
“Ok, well then let’s go find Mappic. And Planet, welcome to Lifesteal!”
