Recontextualizing the Inazuma Archon Quests

Summary:

Visions are a death sentence. Revoking them is an act of mercy.

The Raiden Shogun sees Visions as a curse, forcing its wielders to march to their deaths under the divine ruse of fulfilling some noble cause.

She could only watch in abject horror as her closest friends dutifully fulfilled their missions, only to be senselessly slaughtered by forces beyond her control.

In an act of mercy, for her friend turned foe, she gave the possessed oni a swift and painless death.

Not wanting to lose more than she already lost, she enacted the Vision Hunt Decree to rid her people of their divine duties, leaving her to shoulder all the responsibilities of Celestia’s decrees.

Only then will she find the Eternity she’d been searching for.

Notes:

I've seen people express their opinion that the Inazuma Archon Quests were written terribly, so I tried cooking.

So you know the Tengu, Oni, and Kitsune in her character Teaser, Raiden Shogun: Nightmare? Yeah, they all wield Visions. I'm sure their deaths are catalysts to Ei's views, but them having Visions could improve upon the narrative of Ei not wanting to lose anyone anymore, at least in my opinion.

It also gives a bit more mystery to the nature of Visions itself after Ei reveals that Archons aren't involved in who they're granted to, and makes you wonder why Visions are being granted.
