Work Text:

It was quite unusual to be with Kentin alone, without noisy Armin's company, forcing them to playing his game - too loud conversations, cracking jokes, smiles existing only on lips, not eyes. Nobody but Alexy knows that it's not what Kentin really is. This boy's soul resembles a secret garden, dark and melancholic, with wicket hidden in ivy vines. If you lay your head on Kentin's chest, you would catch a whiff of green, rainy scent of his heart. The rest of the world can see just a gleams, emerald shadow in green eyes.
But now it's just the two of them and the silent summer evening, and they don't have to laugh or talk so much.
Rock ledge feels nicely cold. Moonlight reafracts in thousands of dark rainbows, when it touch the beer bottles. Alexy thinks that stars are slightly bitter.
"You really don't mind that I'm not much talker?"", asked Kentin.
His dog tags are shiny like a North Star.
"Of course not. In fact, your silence tells a lot".
"That I'm a bit down, huh?"
"You would be an idiot, if you were happy all the time".
"You're the only one who gets it", whispers Kentin, his eyes are dark now, his hair smells like a cinnamon, his breath smells like a hops.
Wind brings them a scent of an evening dew. Mixing aromas imbibes Alexy stronger that any alcohol in the world. He puts his hand on muscular Kentin's arm, his eyes are glowing with desire.
"I'm the only one you let to approach".
And Alexy's approaching as well. Kentin's lips are cold and bitter, and harsh as moonlight. Kentin backs off so quickly, he doesn't let Alexy to twined fingers in his brown hair. Words are splattering all over, chaotic as raindrops.
"Alexy, I... I don't like you the same way you like me. Sorry. You're my friend, but... I'm sorry."
Alexy laughs with no merriment.
"Sure. I was stupid."
"Why stupid?"
"I thought that you can fix one broken heart with shards of another".
