Work Text:
Where are you dear one but in the hollow of my chest?
Worn and weary, washed out with the tide, and controlled by the ever-looming moon.
Your brashness lights the sky like fireworks and it makes me recoil sometimes; I fear that the flames will fall upon the world and burn it to smoldering ash. You are brilliant and better than any one of us could have ever hoped to be.
I fear what I do not completely understand.
I suppose that's how we all go anyways; in a hail of bullets, confused and never understanding why or how.
From what I've felt, and from what I've experienced, even the most unknown of deaths leave the heartbreak of ten in its wake.
Excuse me when I say that you are the most exquisite thing to walk this plane of existence, you will be for all eternity. Even when existence stops and the ideas of consciousness and art are no longer prevalent, you will always be eternally stuck in the mind of a man fighting through purgatory.
I would gladly die a thousand more times if it were by your hands, if only to see your face once more in the most passionate of expressions.
Do not fret and do not cry, although knowing you, you will and I love you for it even more...your kind, kindred soul.
Death separates us. I'm afraid that it is as inescapable as the inevitable heat-death of the universe.
I will state this plainly because I need you to understand: move on.
Keeping you to myself would be like keeping food from the starving and although I am selfish, I am not cruel.
You found a place in the emptiness of my body; we made ourselves whole again darling.
My love, take your time... live because I can not and always remember: I am so proud of you.
