Inside the storage room on top of the heavy snowy mountain, the four “friends”, each in their own blanket, tried to warm themselves with it. It was really cold, especially after the heater stopped working.
“It’s hopeless now.” Shibe spoke up after a long silence, “At this rate we’ll all freeze to death.”
“Yeah, this is tougher than I thought it’d be.” Replied Yutori. Nothing could be used to make the heater work again, including the firewoods as it was too cold.
Suddenly, Yutori brought up a suggestion, saying that she wanted to bring her body and Yuuichi’s together to warm each other up. Shiho went against it until Yuuichi agreed, but with the same sex together.
That’s how they ended up like this: Shiho with Yutori while Shibe with Yuuichi.
Now each pair covered themselves within two blankets. It has really gotten warmer.
They stayed in the same position for a while after some chats, then Yutori spoke up, “It’s very cold now, so how about we take a nap to feel better? So time will go faster as well!”
Well.. it was a good idea so why not follow it anyways? It was also a good way to save food so they all agreed. Yutori paired up with Shiho, so they slept together in the same blanket, at the same time warmed each other up as they hugged; the same thing went with the boys.
The room was filled with instance silence again. With the ridiculously cold weather, the girls and Yuuichi slept peacefully very quickly, but only Shibe struggled to do so. It could not be helped since he would not stop thinking about the position he was in. Shibe was tightly hugged by Yuuichi – who was really asleep – so hard that he could not move himself.
It was strange. Just a while ago, Yuuichi was still a threatening murderer to everyone. But at that moment, the threat looked so peaceful – just like a sleepy cat. Yuuichi wrapped his arms around Shibe’s waist – so tight like he was scared of losing him – with his face leaned on Shibe’s chest and his legs in between Shibe’s legs.
“Great, what am I supposed to do now?” Shibe asked himself in tiredness. At least it was not a bad position because it was really warm. For the first time in years (maybe), Shibe felt warmth from someone else, but it was not from a person whom he loved. Or was it?
Despite hugging the person who indirectly destroyed his life, it was still really warm, especially for this weather. Shibe’s eyes started to get heavy – a sign of sleepiness. For a moment, he felt secured in this dangerous place. He brought his arms around Yuuichi’s body, hugged him then slowly fell asleep.
The two pairs, each hugged and slept in warmths of other’s body under the extreme snowy weather of the high mountain. There was no sign of moving nor the sound of talking. There were only people and the breathing sound of each.

“They’re really close, right Shiho-chan?”
“Yeah…”
The two girls – one smiled and one just akwardly stared – looked at the two boys, who were still hugging each other and sleeping peacefully.
