Chapter 1: Raging and the Consequences

Chapter Text

Taylor was playing his video games as usual. Chuck had gone off for a photo shoot, so Taylor had the apartment to himself for the rest of the day.

***G A M E O V E R***

Taylor stared at the words flashing on his screen in shock. After processing the message, he threw the controller out of the open window.

Immediately Taylor ran over to see it fall into the dumpster against the apartment building.

“Wait a minute.” He turned to look at the clock on the wall.

“4:29 pm…and todays a Wednesday…”

Taylor felt as though he was forgetting something very important.

“OH SH-“ Taylor flew down the stairs of the apartment and to the dumpster, where a dumpster truck had pulled up to and was beginning to empty out the dumpster.

“HEY! STOP!!!” He shouted, waving his arms to the person operating the truck, but the noise was too loud and easily overpowered Taylor’s shouting.

To Taylor’s dismay, the truck drove away and took off with the controller. “Oh great…”

Minutes later, Taylor drove up to the junkyard to get his beloved controller back. Inside the wired fence, piles and piles of garbage were left scattered across the ground. Taylor stood still for a moment, gaping at the mountains of trash. How was he supposed to find his controller now?

Taylor got to work on finding the controller. After digging through some trash piles, he finally found the controller. Sure, it was a little dirty and smelled of garbage juice, but surely it still worked.

Taylor smiled triumphantly. He was about to turn and go back to his apartment but something had caught his eye.

He stepped closer to take a look. A small, maybe 4 inch tall object had a green light emitting from it. Upon closer inspection, Taylor saw that it was coming from inside. He picked it up and turned it over, finding a crack that could open the object.

Curious, Taylor gently pried it open, not wanting to break it but wanting to see what was inside. The controller lay forgotten on the ground after being set down by Taylor.

“Goddamn…this thing is tough.”

After a lot of strength, the object finally opened, revealing a bright green orb in the middle.

“What the…” The light seemed almost mesmerizing to Taylor. He felt as though voices were calling him to touch it and see what would happen. As if controlled by a magnet, Taylor’s hand drifted up to try to touch it.

After the contact was made, the green light exploded in Taylor’s face and blinded him momentarily. The ground beneath him began to wobble back and forth as Taylor got dizzy and nauseous.

“AAH-“

Suddenly, it was all over. Taylor dropped from the sky straight onto the grass, face first.

“Oww…” He got up to his knees and then stood up, looking around confusedly. “Where am I…?”

Taylor looked to the right, and there it was. A huge castle in the distance was surrounded by tall bushes and stone walls, preventing people from entering. He could make out two guards standing beside a large wooden gate, standing still in suits of armor.

“…Woah.”
