"Wait! So you're saying that your two cousins willingly paid for you in the end, even though they were disguised in such a way that there was no way they would have recognized you... And you didn't even say a word the whole time?"
"Of course." Hyein said shyly and proudly.
"Oh my god, those are two horrible Taurus!" Hyein's friend stammered, clicking her cell phone. "What does the horoscope guide say? Let me check it up .... "
Hyein looked at her friend with a smile on her face.
"STINGY."
The other frantically skimmed through it and threw the phone away, sighed helplessly and succinctly stated her summary.
Hyein looked at her friend with a smile on her face.
".... "
"I'm not talking about you!" the girl yelled in response. "I mean, they're usually good with money .... And they're very careful with their money ...."
Hyein looked at her friend with a smile on her face.
"Okay, okay! I won't talk about it anymore." Her friend raised her hands in surrender. "So how did you do it? I'm really curious... It's almost an impossible mission!
"Here, I'm gonna tell you!"
Hyein crossed her arms in a dignified manner.
"I changed into a doll's costume at the amusement park - the one we used for the last show - and wrote some words on the ground," she said happily, "and when they came over with their girlfriends and saw me, they gave me money. It's that simple!"
"Wait a minute. Girlfriends? "Her friend's burning spirit of gossip momentarily overpowered her desire to get rich, and she sat a little closer to Hyein, raising an eyebrow at her. "Tell me more about Hanni and Danielle... So they're dating them at the park for the weekend, right?'
"Yes." Hyein replied dryly.
"The first one to go was my second sister. I remember she kept holding Danielle so tightly as if she'd lose her if she let go of her hand, and they were practically glued together... It was then that Haerin saw me first, as Danielle was looking around. --Honestly, just seeing her eyes as cold as she usually are when she's urging me to do my homework, I almost thought I'd been caught! Luckily I wasn't. Her eyes lit up when she saw me, and she tapped Danielle on the arm, signaling her to come and see me too.Danielle smiled, and blushed, but looked so happy. Haerin then looked at her and laughed along with her. I swear I've never seen her smile so softly at me before... ! Anyway, after that, she was very quick to pay for me. Danielle even gave me a hug.''
"Oh my... it's soooo cute ...."
"We all know that Haerin and Danielle are the model couple of the senior high school," said the envious friend.
"People look so happy when they're in love, and that's exactly what happened to Haerin," Hyein summarized.
"But why did she give you money...? Let me guess. Is it because of the magic of your line?"
"Uh-huh." Hyein wiggled her fingers in a mysterious manner. "Well, I'll tell you about that later. I haven't finished my story yet! "
"Okay. So what happened to Minji and Hanni? Don't they look like they're in love?"
"They didn't stick together," Hyein describes with interest, "walking one behind the other, as if there was a rope between them. The difference was that Hanni spotted me first. Then she immediately yanked Minji by that invisible rope and asked her to take a good look at the line at my feet."
"She didn't pay from the start, like Haerin did?"
" Look, honey, I know it's true, but we could've used the money to buy something else, like your favorite bread. Why spend it here? That's what she said in her original statement.'' Hyein shrugged. "Like you just said: stingy."
"And then?"
"And then, Hanni was angry... At least on the surface."
"She stood on her tiptoes and grabbed Minji by the ear and asked her if she was willing to give me the money or not, and if she loved her or not, saying that it was a serious question, and that if she didn't behave herself, she wouldn't be able to like her for the whole day today; which meant that she'd mess up their date!" Hyein said laughing out loud and her friend laughed after her.
The two stopped to laugh uproariously.
"So, to solve the love crisis, Minji finally bowed down, right?" the friend asked, gasping for breath after she had laughed enough.
"Of course!" Hyein wore a triumphant expression. "She gave me money. Then she quickly caught up with Hanni and tried to hold hands with her. She got what she wanted in the end!"
"Aww, Soft-hearted Hanni," the friend exclaimed.
"Yes, soft-hearted Hanni."
Hyein repeated.
"So, what magic spell did you write on the ground to make the two couples react in such an interesting way?"
"Now you hafta tell me!" the friend said, "I must say, you've really whetted my appetite."
"Oh, actually it's nothing really," Hyein said with the air of a teenager who couldn't care less, "I just wrote the words, Tip me if your girl is hot."
