Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

"Bye Alex, we'll miss you." Matt said, hugging his best friend, Alex goodbye.

"I'll miss you guys too" Alex replied with a soft smile, blinking back his tears.
After the tour, Alex had decided he wanted a new change of pace, a new change of scenery. So he was deciding to leave England. After seeing the world on tour, he had made a list of pros and cons. And he found a lot of satisfaction with the country of "Australia."

"Just stay safe, okay? You made sure to bring lots of insect repellent, right? You know how insane Australia's bugs and spiders are.." Nick said, warning him. He had secretly hoped Alex had forgotten to pack insect repellent, so maybe Alex could stay in England an hour or two longer.

"Nope, I've got it. I made sure to pack lots."

"Damn it." Nick mumbled quickly under his breath.

Alex gave them one last squeeze in the group hug, before parting, and taking a step back.

"I'll call you guys when I get there, Okay?" he bit his lip, still trying to hold back those tears. "Okay. Just don't forget." Jamie said, finally speaking up. He had been quiet this entire day, this was his first time talking. He had just been shaking or nodding his head to answer questions. "I won't forget.." Alex said with a comforting smile. "Alright guys... I'll see you. Bye.." Alex said with a sigh, and turned around, walking further on the dock towards his transportation to Australia. Matt, Nick, and Jamie all waved in sadness. They knew they were going to see Alex again, and this isn't goodbye forever, but it still hurt to know that their best friend was going to be living so many miles away from now on. It was going to take a lot of adjusting as well. The dock creaked under Alex's flat feet. This was going to be a lot of change, but hopefully it would be a good change, right? Wrong. The moment Alex had stepped foot on that boat, things had been going wrong. First, the boat left the port 2 hours later than intended, because the captain was two hours late. Then, it rained, causing the mini yacht's lower deck to get flooded. Then, Alex got sea sick, causing a horrid putrid smell of puke to be stuck inside the cabin. Then, Alex remembered he forgot to pack a phone charger, so his phone would be dead till he got to Australia, and bought a charger at a shop or some place. Then, the boat gets swarmed by pelicans and seagulls while they're asleep, causing all of Alex's belongings to get stolen, besides the clothes he was wearing, his wallet that was in his pocket, and his phone in his pocket. And then finally the boat starts to run out of gas, so they had to drop Alex off at Perth, Australia, when his final destination was intended to be, Brisbane, Australia. Alex was really starting to consider that maybe he should've just paid the few extra hundred pounds on a flight, rather than being cheap and going on the mini yacht.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So now, here he was, standing in this country that was quite new to him. He didn't know where to go, he didn't know what to do. Hell, he couldn't even ask his phone for directions to the nearest restaurant if he wanted to. He had no transportation, no working phone, no food, no water, nothing. What was he gonna do?

"Oy' mate? You wanna scrap?" An intense Australian accented voice could be heard through some bushes. Alex swallowed, it was nothing to be afraid of, right? Whoever it was probably wasn't a threat..

"C'mon then, yeah? You wanna tussle? I'll beat the bloody hell out of you!" The voice could be heard again. Although Alex was slightly concerned, A sudden feeling of hope washed through his body. What if this person could help Alex? Or at least give him directions? He had to ask. Alex slowly peaked around, trying to spot where this voice could be heard from. He walked through some bushes, desperate to get help, and to make sure this wasn't just the voices in his head. He pushed aside some tree branches, and that's when he spotted.. A kangaroo? No way a kangaroo was talking. For a moment Alex thought he had gone insane. Never mind though, only a few seconds later he spotted an actual human.

Bomp

The kangaroo fell to the ground as the Aussie punched it. The kangaroo seemed almost no match. It quickly picked itself up though. This fight between the Kangaroo and the aussie should've probably been concerning and threatening to Alex, but he ignored it. He quickly ran out of hiding and up to the guy.

"Uhh.. excuse me! Ahoy matey!" Alex said in a poor Australian accent, hoping to get his attention.

"What." The Aussie asked, confused. He gave Alex a slightly disgusted look after hearing the words "Ahoy matey!"

"I'm trying to adapt to what you say." Alex replied, but then realized that whatever accent he used, whether it be his natural British accent, or his crappy Australian accent, it didn't really matter.

"You know what? Just ignore what I said. Could you please help me get to town?" He said, trying to sound calm and collected.

"Yeah! Sure mate! What are you doin' out here in the bush? You look quite buggered."
