Work Text:
Scott Pilgrim ruined his life, that’s what Todd Ingram decided when he respawned in Toronto a year after he had faced off against Ramona’s recent fling.
Instead of contacting Envy and telling her he was back and then begging her forgiveness for not being straight with her about his vegan habits, Todd headed to the nearest buffet and ate until the owner threw him out.
He had come back with an insatiable appetite. Not for vegetables or vegan food, but for anything he could get his hands on. He was still buff, but he had filled out a little since he came back. His slim and trim waist wasn’t so slim and trim anymore and he had moved up some clothes sizes.
Too often he found himself lying on his couch after chowing down with his fly open and his stomach angrily churning. Still, these instances did not deter him from cutting back and despite his often protesting gut, he ate like a man starved. Thank god he had a good metabolism at least. But it wasn’t that good. At least not with how he was continuing to eat.
After one night of way too many gallons of buttered popcorn, Todd thought hard about his situation as he ran his hand over his taut stomach. Did he really want to keep doing this forever?
He’d weigh 600 pounds if he kept at it. No one would want to date him and he wouldn’t be happy with how he looked either. Going from a health nut to a fast food junkie was not how he imagined his life turning out. Todd had figured he’d be an even more famous rockstar by now and not some sad loser stuffing himself silly with food.
Who did he have to blame for this? Himself…?
No. He shook his head. No, it was Scott Pilgrim. Scott Pilgrim was the one who made him drink that half and half. Who made him have his vegan powers get taken away. Who revealed his indiscretions to his girlfriend, Envy. And then killed him.
It wasn’t until he came back to the land of the living that his appetite could no longer be quenched. Scott Pilgrim did this to him and Todd vowed to make him pay.
How though? That was the answer he had racked his milk filled brain for, but so far he had come up empty. The league of evil exes was done for, he found that out when Gideon spawned into the underworld with him. Ramona and Scott had defeated all of them.
Then it clicked, after one long food coma, Todd decided to pay Gideon a visit.
Even though the league was finished, Gideon was still a genius and Todd hoped he still harbored the same amount of hatred towards Scott Pilgrim.
Gideon had taken his club back but it just didn’t have the same vibe anymore. Disappointment hung heavy in the air and the music was slow and sad. Even sadder still, Gideon was the only patron at the bar and he was drinking enough for the whole establishment.
It made Todd feel a little better that another one of Ramona’s exes had come back in shambles.
“You’re kidding right?” The dark haired man slurred as Todd sat down and gave him his pitch.
“I’m not.” Todd shook his head.
“Then you’re an idiot. Give it a rest, we lost. There’s no point in going after him now.”
“I don’t care if you’ve given up. I want revenge.”
Gideon snorted and raised an eyebrow. “Seems like you’ve given up too.” he prodded Todd in the stomach and chuckled.
He went red with embarrassment when Gideon did that. And with anger too. Absolutely hating how people could now lord this over him. Todd grabbed the other by his coat and threw him to the floor, fists clenched tightly. “You don’t want to get on my bad side right now, Gideon.” he threatened with a snarl. He might have gained weight but that didn’t mean he couldn’t kick ass anymore. “You can laugh but I’m going to get back at Scott while you drink yourself to death.”
“Ugh, seriously?” Gideon complained huffily, readjusting his glasses and dusting off his sleeves. “If I do this for you will you fuck off and leave me alone?”
Todd nodded enthusiastically with a small smile.
———
Things didn’t end up so poorly with Gideon after all though Todd had been tempted to use what he had asked for on Gideon just to see him squirm a little. Maybe he was still peeved about the stomach jab. Just a little.
Instead, he found himself now in the process of stalking Scott Pilgrim. He watched first as Scott got chewed out by Julie and then went and ordered himself a coffee to spy on Scott further as the other seemed to be waiting on someone.
Out of instinct he nearly ordered a coffee with soy milk but then requested half and half instead and for it to be made with plenty of sugar. Then he ordered enough baked goods for three people.
Luckily Julie didn’t show any recognition on her face as she served him. It seemed like a hat, coat, and sunglasses could really disguise someone.
After receiving his coffee, he sat in the corner to observe his prey. And by observation, he meant staring daggers into the back of Scott’s stupid oddly shaped head.
Ramona came in and sat across from Scott who pushed a coffee cup towards her. Todd pulled his hat down further and shrank in his seat a little.
Todd still had some keen senses left at least and he listened to their conversation intently.
“Is it just me or is there a bad feeling in this place?” Scott asked suddenly, shivering, and then looking around the cafe.
Shit. Todd thought.
“It’s just you.” Ramona said, after having finished looking around herself.
Todd sighed in relief. Still safe.
“No muffin?” his ex girlfriend questioned.
“Nah, I was gonna go and get one but that guy in the back bought them all.” Scott said, jerking his hand back to point at Todd who bristled in alarm.
“Oh, really?” Ramona peered around her boyfriend in interest.
Todd was sweating bullets but it didn’t stop him from eating.
“I thought he was waiting for some people but it turns out he just ate them all.” Scott whispered conspiratorially to Ramona as if he figured that Todd could hear him (he could).
Ramona didn’t appear to recognize him either as she directed her attention back to Scott. “He’s probably addicted to bread, like you.”
It wasn’t far from the truth.
“Nuh uh, bread makes you fat.”
Now that was true.
———
Todd nearly fell asleep from having to listen to the lovebirds chirping for so long but soon enough, Ramona stood up and said her goodbyes to Scott and Scott didn’t follow her.
Then shortly Scott got up and left too. This was when Todd began to eagerly follow him.
After a while of weaving in and out of alleys, Todd picked up on that Scott knew or at least suspected he was being followed. When they came to a dead end, he threw off his disguise (aside from the jacket) and pointed at the other young man. “Scott Pilgrim, I demand a rematch!”
“You’re alive?” Scott seemed surprised and then added unhappily. “Aw, man.”
“Yes, and you will fight me.”
“I dunno, man, I mean look at how well things ended for you last time. It’s over, I’m with Ramona. Why don’t you just chill out?”
“I can’t CHILL… out.” Todd snapped. “You ruined my life!”
“Wow, that’s a bit harsh, dude.” The redhead scratched the back of his head. “Sorry?”
“Sorry won’t cut it, Scott Pilgrim! You have to die!”
“Shit, really? Okay then…” Scott sighed tiredly. “What now? Guitar battle again? I guess things will be more even since you don’t have your vegan powers anymore.”
Todd’s eye twitched at the mention of his vegan powers. “Even, yeah, it’ll be even alright.” he removed the device from his jacket.
“Not liking how you just said that.” Scott admitted a tad nervously. “What is that? A tv remote?”
Todd grinned manically. “You wish.”
He pressed the button. A beam of green light burst from the small machine and hit Scott square in the chest.
Scott yelped at first and then calmed down, wiping his forehead. “Phew! I thought you were vaporizing me at first… but I don’t feel anything.”
Dismayed, his face fell until he noticed (but not Scott) that his rival was shrinking rapidly. So it worked!
“Uhhh… are you getting taller?” Scott asked, once he had almost stopped shrinking.
“Something like that.”
“Wait, huh?! You shrunk me?” The other squeaked in alarm. “What the hell, man?”
Stuffing the shrink ray back in his pocket, Todd peered over Scott, squatting down and then snatching his rival up in his hand.
“What’s your problem?!” Scott demanded, wriggling in his grip.
“You, duh.” Todd said and licked his lips hungrily. “I’ve been waiting for this.”
Scott didn’t even get a chance to ask what he had been waiting for before Todd licked him, murmuring happily from the way the other tickled his taste buds.
At first Scott was too stunned to speak as he hung there in Todd’s grip, now wet with saliva. Then he blurted out. “What the fuck, Todd?! What was that?!”
“That, that was what you did.”
“Huh?”
“I’m so hungry. So, so hungry. I can’t get enough to be satisfied and it’s all your fault.”
“Again… you’re being hard to follow…”
“I’m not able to be vegan anymore because I can’t stop eating! Ever since you killed me, I can’t stop!” Todd vented angrily. “Look at me!” he unzipped his jacket to reveal his prominent gut that growled relentlessly for food. “This is what you did!”
“Ah,” The redhead said awkwardly. “Oops?” he looked sheepish. “That could be my fault or you could just be coping badly, ya know. And now what, you gonna eat me too?”
“Yes,” Todd blinked, surprised that Scott caught on so fast.
Or maybe he hadn’t. Scott balked. “Seriously?! I was joking!”
“Oh, well, that sucks for you.” Todd gloated. “Let’s see if you can fill me up a little.”
“Wait, no!”
I’m tired of waiting. He thought as he pinched the back of Scott’s shirt between his fingertips and dangled his rival over his drooling maw. Despite Scott’s protests and movement, he dropped Ramona’s new boyfriend into his open mouth and then snapped his jaws closed like a shark.
Scott was a mouthful, but Todd didn’t mind. He was too busy enjoying how his snack tasted and how much he struggled.
Scott had flipped from being on his back to being on his stomach, trying in vain to fight his way out of his predicament as Todd poked at him with his tongue.
Teasing him, Todd allowed Scott to see the light of day and Scott tried to lunge out, only to be caught on Todd’s tongue which turned up and caused the shrunken guitarist to slide back down into Todd’s mouth.
“I hope you choke!” Scott shouted. “I’m pretty sure eating people isn’t vegan!”
Todd chuckled, knowing that Scott was grasping for straws now. He hummed in amusement as he once again shut off Scott’s access to the outside world.
Scott was a bit bigger than he had expected but he didn’t think that it was going to be much of a problem.
He was so wrong.
As he began to swallow, his enemy managed to twist around and wedge himself in Todd’s throat horizontally, making the ex-vegan gag around the sudden obstruction.
He was a fool for thinking that anything involving Scott Pilgrim would be easy.
“Spit me out or choke! Your choice!” Scott called out to him. “I don’t want to do this but you’re forcing me too!”
It hurt and it was getting hard to breathe as Todd panicked, but he couldn’t let Scott win. Not again.
He swallowed as hard as he could, again, and then again… until he felt Scott start to slide and then he enthusiastically picked up the pace, swallowing in quick bursts and massaging his throat as his rival slid down.
The second that he felt Scott hit his stomach, he panted in relief, wiping the spit from his mouth and then lifted his shirt up to observe the bump in his stomach. Even with all the fat there, he could still make out Scott in there somewhere.
“Nice try, you nearly had me there, but you lost.” Todd gloated triumphantly, jostling his bloated stomach with both hands. “It’s a shame I can’t eat you all over again.”
“You’re disgusting!” Scott’s voice sounded muffled from inside his stomach. “I hope you get sick!” he kicked the walls of Todd’s stomach but he hardly felt them in his euphoria. “Ramona will stop you!”
“Nah, I don’t think she will.” Todd said. “No one will be able to find you and if they do, it’ll be too late. You’ll have converted into calories by then.”
“Fuck you!”
“Rude. Say… what if I got you some company down there?”
“What- what do you mean by that?” Scott sounded rightfully apprehensive.
“That dumb band of yours.” Todd snapped his fingers. “I think I’ll go eat them too.”
“No! Don’t you dare!”
“Yeah? You think it’s a good plan? Me too, buddy.” Todd rubbed his stomach. “I could go for seconds.”
———
“Wasn’t Scott supposed to be over?” Stephen asked anxiously, checking his watch.
“Who cares?” Kim deadpanned.
“Maybe he forgot?” Neil suggested. “Or he’s just running late?”
“He better not have! Who’s going to watch us practice now?” The frontman agonized.
Then the doorbell rang.
“Oh thank god!”
“Rats.”
“See? Told you.”
———
Stephen Stills must have been expecting Scott from the way his face fell and looked perplexed as Todd stood before him.
“Todd Ingram?” he sputtered. “You’re alive?”
“Yeah, being dead didn’t suit me.” Todd smiled, toying with the device in his coat pocket.
“Uh,” The man was obviously very uncomfortable. “Scott isn’t here.”
“I know.”
“Okay…? What can we do for you?”
“I’m actually starving, if you could spare a bite.” he grinned, hearing Scott shouting and swearing at him from inside his stomach. He then shouldered by Stephen without so much as an invitation inside.
As expected, Stephen didn’t dare try to stop him.
“You said “we”, who else is here?” Todd questioned.
“The rest of the band. Kim, Neil… um, I don’t think we have any vegan food here.”
“Good thing I’m not vegan anymore.” he beamed.
“Oh right, Scott did tell me that…” Stephen scratched his chin awkwardly. “But-”
Todd wasn’t listening as he grabbed some chips and some water, which had Scott really bitching much to Todd’s amusement. He walked into the room where they were having band practice with Stephen nervously following him.
Kim, the drummer, squinted suspiciously when he came in and shot a look at Stephen who looked at her helplessly. Young Neil, or just “Neil”, as Stephen had referred to him, nervously smiled. All of them were unsure of what to make of Todd being there. He quite liked the trepidation in the air.
“Hey, so, uh, you said that you knew Scott wasn’t here earlier… Do you know where he is?” The lead singer of the band ventured carefully.
“Yes, actually.” Todd said.
“Are you going to tell us or are you just going to be smug about it?” Kim glowered at him. “What did you do to him?”
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Stephen motioning at her to not ask the question (accusation) that had just left her mouth and he put his head in his hands when she did so.
“What makes you think I did anything to him?”
“It’s written all over your face, you smug prick.” Kim crossed her arms across her chest, her voice was flat but held thinly veiled dislike. “You’re not vegan anymore so we could take you.”
“That’s funny. You’re real funny.” Todd couldn’t help but laugh. “You maybe. These two? Not a fucking chance.”
“I think you should call Ramona.” The redhead cut her eyes over at Stephen.
“I think not.” Todd slapped the flip phone out of the man’s hand and crushed it under his foot.
“Hey, not cool, man!”
Todd grabbed him by the jacket and threw him to the floor (the same move he had pulled with Gideon) in front of his other band members. “I also think you should stay down.”
“Scott, knock it off. You wouldn’t want me to do anything damaging to your friends now, would you?” Todd chastised and threatened Scott who was raising a real ruckus down there. It was a little distracting to him when he was in the zone.
The others in the room shot looks at each like this guy really is fucking nuts!
“You first.” Todd said menacingly, darting his hungry eyes over to Neil who looked startled.
“H- huh?” Neil didn’t even get to say anything more than that as Todd hit him with the shrink ray and then grabbed him.
The others in the room seemed rooted by shock and then they started to protest when Todd stuffed their bandmate in his mouth and swallowed.
“What the hell?” Stephen blinked and then turned pale when Todd locked eyes with him. “Oh shit!”
Stephen was another easy one, the man appeared to be frozen with panic so he didn’t even try to fight. Kim on the other hand was a different story.
First she tried to run and threw her drumsticks at him as a distraction, then she tried to hide when he shrunk her and she struggled so hard that he almost dropped her when he finally caught her.
The redhead was a spitfire that was for sure.
He had to threaten to bite her in order for her to stay still enough but she still wedged herself in his throat like Scott did much to his chagrin.
It was easier to get her down this time since Scott had done it before her but it was still annoying.
He let out a burp and licked his lips. The feeling of four people squirming inside his stomach was unlike anything he had experienced before. Even his vegan powers fell flat in that aspect.
They certainly made his stomach a lot heavier though and at first he struggled to accommodate that newly gained weight.
“Who’s next?” Todd yawned, stretching and observing how his filled stomach spilled over his jeans. He was feeling a bit tired but he knew he was missing something or someone.
“Next?!” Scott reacted to what he said angrily. “Haven’t you had enough, you greedy pig?!”
“Name calling, that’s cute.” he laughed smugly.
“This is not going to end how you think it will.” Kim’s monotone voice reached his ears. She sounded so certain.
“Yeah? What can any of you do about it?” Todd smirked.
“I was right when I called you a cocky cock before, sheesh.” Scott said derisively.
“Hmph, and remember how I was kicking your ass up and down the street until you resorted to a cheap trick?”
“I also remember it was your fault that you lost vegan edge.”
Todd ground his teeth together in frustration. “I don’t have time to argue with you, Scott Pilgrim. It’s beneath me. And I just remembered Envy mentioning you had a roommate. I’ll be giving him a visit too.”
The whole group fell silent then, processing just how crazy Todd was being.
———
Arriving at Scott’s place, he knocked on the door and a young man with brown hair opened the door to stare at him.
“Are you Scott Pilgrim’s roommate?” Todd asked.
“Yeah, that’s me, Wallace Wells. Who’s asking?” Wallace squinted at him as if trying to figure out a puzzle. A look of clarity then passed over his face as he snapped his fingers. “You’re that Todd guy, right? In the same band as Envy Adams.” he said Envy’s name with an obvious edge of dislike.
“The very same.” Todd acknowledged.
“Pretty sure you died.” The homosexual put a hand on his hip as he leaned more against the doorframe.
“Apparently. People can’t stop bringing that up today.” he remarked.
“Well, I mean, dying does make you interesting.” Wallace shrugged. “That’s how most of the great authors out there got famous.”
“I’d rather be interesting for something else, like maybe this.” he whipped out the device and soon enough, Wallace was in the palm of his hand.
“You’re kidding.” This was all Wallace had to say as Todd greedily gulped him down.
As soon as Wallace hit his stomach, he must have landed on someone from the startled yells, and then Todd could make out some squabbling between Scott and his best friend.
“Couldn’t you have, ya know-”
“Turned him gay?” Wallace replied dryly.
“Yeah, that!” Scott agreed.
“I didn’t really have much of a chance to do much of anything. I opened the door and then he zapped me. When did I have time to flirt and do my magic?”
“You always have time to flirt.” Scott huffed. “Just not when it’s necessary to the situation. And he didn’t even zap you right away!”
“Don’t be a bitch. Are you suggesting I try to woo him from here?” Wallace snorted.
Todd had no idea what those two were arguing about but they quickly shut up when Kim snapped at them.
“How’s it going in there, Scott? Feeling anything yet?” Todd taunted gleefully.
“Uhh, I think I’m about to lose my second heart.” Scott didn’t sound like he was talking back to Todd but Todd could hear him anyway.
“I think he heard that, stupid.” Wallace chided.
“I did.”
“See?”
“Dammit!”
Todd chuckled and then his stomach lurched unpleasantly much to his surprise. He had been caught up in the euphoria of getting revenge and hadn’t paid any attention to the limits of his body and his body was not liking the heft of five people pushing against his stomach walls.
Maybe he had overdone it this time. Just a little bit. Stuffing himself silly with food was a lot different than this and he hadn’t really accounted for it all… especially when he decided to eat more people besides Scott. The tightness and the stretching of his stomach had stopped feeling so nice now that he had packed it full. Full of live occupants who were now whispering to each other conspiratorially which Todd didn’t feel good about at all.
He was right too as Scott’s friends began to bash themselves against his stomach with force. It startled him so much that he almost lost his balance. His stomach groaned in protest as a dull ache began to manifest in his middle.
“Quit that!” Todd ordered which only encouraged them to go at it harder. This time he was really at a disadvantage. They were not making this whole revenge thing easy.
He needed a backup plan and fast.
———
“You what?!” Even Gideon Graves was aghast at his life choices. “That’s what you wanted that thing for?!”
“Yeah, yeah, lecture me later.” Todd winced. “Did you make them indestructible on purpose?”
“Huh?”
“Scott still hasn’t died yet. What’s the deal with that?”
“I didn’t get much of a chance to explore the rays properties since it was a rush job. I had no fucking idea that you’d use it for this.” Gideon said as he shook his head. “Dude, the fuck?”
“Can’t you do something?”
“Do what? I don’t know what you’re asking me to do here? Kill them faster? It would be easiest, at least on yourself, if you just spit them all out.”
“No!” Todd shook his head vehemently. “That’s not happening. If you don’t-”
“If I don't, what?” Gideon cut him off snippily. “You’ll use the device on me? That would really help solve your problem.” he said sarcastically.
Todd’s response was just to growl in frustration as the tension in the air grew. Everyone was being a pain in the ass to him right now.
And it was only going to get worse as his ex, Ramona Flowers, entered the club.
All of them looked up as boss fight music immediately started playing.
“Ramona, what are you doing here?” Todd demanded unhappily.
“I know Scott is in trouble. And it has something to do with you… or maybe you two.” The blue haired girl stared pointedly at Gideon as well.
“Not me! I didn’t eat your boyfriend.” Gideon backed away.
Todd glared at him while Ramona looked concerned.
“What?” she frowned.
Then Scott shouted her name really loudly and she knew it for sure.
“Oh, okay.” Ramona said. “So it is true.”
“It is and he’s not going anywhere.” Todd declared.
“I don’t know. You don’t look so good, Todd.”
“I’m fine,” he said while sweating.
“Then fight me.”
“I don’t want to fight you, Ramona.” Todd told her.
“What? I thought you said you weren’t afraid to hit a girl.” Ramona taunted, putting her fists up.
From the determination in her eyes and voice, Todd knew she wasn’t about to back down. He would need to fight her as much as he didn’t feel up to it.
Todd sighed. “Okay, let’s do this.”
His movements were slow now that he wasn’t a vegan and much slower in the moment because he didn't feel so hot anymore. He barely had time to react to Ramona’s attacks anyways.
In quick succession, she dodged his weak attack and circled him carefully trying to pinpoint his new weaknesses. She found them when she delivered a swift uppercut to his chin and then a hard punch to his stomach which not only jostled the people inside but it hurt like hell to Todd.
He staggered back and doubled over holding his stomach as she watched him passively with her body no longer in an offensive position. “I- urp, don’t feel so good…” Todd moaned.
As if on cue, the inhabitants in his stomach started to get rowdy, kicking and punching his stomach lining and he could feel the blows strongly from the outside.
“Stop… please stop,” he groaned, a nauseating feeling coming over him as he experienced the worst stomach ache he had ever had and fell to his knees. His head was spinning and he felt like he was going to burst and faint.
“Give me the device.” Ramona ordered, holding her hand out.
“What…?” Todd wheezed in pain.
“Give it to me.”
His shaking hand found the shrink ray in his pocket and he clumsily threw it to her without a second thought.
“Is there a button to make everyone big again?” Ramona ignored him momentarily to address Gideon.
“Yeah, there’s a switch on the bottom that can make the button do the reverse.” Gideon supplied.
“Okay.” she said blandly and then used the device on Gideon.
“What’d you do that for?!” her seventh evil ex demanded in alarm.
“As an incentive. In case you try anything. I don’t exactly trust you to be one hundred percent truthful.” Ramona lorded over him before she picked him up and dangled him in front of her face.
“Hey, I had no idea what he was going to do with that thing! I just made it for him so he would leave me alone!” Gideon protested a little frantically as his voice sounded higher in pitch.
“Don’t be weird.” Ramona made a face. “I’m not Todd. That’s the last thing I would do.”
Gideon looked relieved.
“Now what should I do with you?” she turned back to Todd who was in agony. “It would be great if you could just throw them up… I’m not sure what my next move would be if you don’t. Perhaps even less pleasant than puking.”
Todd didn’t have to try very hard to make himself puke. He had been pretty close to that already. He didn’t know if he would feel worse after doing it though. There was also a nagging fear in the back of his mind that he might choke to death.
They had felt good going down for the most part but now they hurt like a bitch coming back up. His esophagus and throat were thoroughly strained as he gagged and coughed while on his hands and knees.
When it was done, he slumped against the floor face first and whimpered from the pain and exhaustion just like a dog.
Ramona quickly returned everyone to normal size and while relieved, all of them were disgusted by the experience.
“Ramona! I knew you’d come!” Scott went to throw his arms around his girlfriend but she backed up from him.
“Maybe not when you’re covered in bile?” Ramona suggested.
“Damn, you’re right. I need a shower.” Scott sighed, putting a hand to his forehead and then drawing it back in disgust. “This is really, really nasty.”
“I had to sense Scott was in trouble.” Ramona turned away from Scott to talk to everyone else. “Why did none of you have your cellphones on you?” she questioned. “Not even you, Wallace?”
“I guess it wasn’t plot relevant.” Wallace shrugged.
“I had mine!” Stephen said. “Until Todd broke it…”
With everything going on, Todd could have used the distractions to escape but he found he didn’t have the energy to even lift himself up. He was just so ill. His master plan had backfired on him immensely. Who was he kidding? If even Gideon hadn’t been able to defeat Scott then why would Todd be able to?
From the way Scott and Ramona shot glances towards him, they must have been talking about him. A spike of anxiety and fear went through him at the thought of dying again. Maybe for real this time.
Shit. He had really screwed up.
Ramona walked over to him and crouched down. “Lucky for you, Todd, we’re not assholes and everyone just wants to forget this entire thing happened.”
“What…? Really…? You’re not going to kill me?” Todd was really shocked.
She shook her head. “Nope, I mean that clearly fucked you up in the first place. I think you should consider getting some help though. Now do you need an ambulance?” she asked softly.
Todd nodded with a small whimper and before he could form anymore words, her face went fuzzy before his eyes and he passed out.
By the time he woke up, he had been hoping the last 24 hours were some crazy fever dream but waking up in a hospital bed had proved him wrong.
At least he was still alive for whatever reason. And he needed to give Envy a call but maybe he’d omit a few details.
