“Why do you have a lab in your spare room?” Iris asked.
“It’s useful,” Barry said. “I use it for Flash reasons all the time.”
“Did you put it in there before or after you got superpowers?”
Barry didn’t answer.
“You’re cute,” Iris said. She kissed him quickly. “You’re finding somewhere else for that when you move in.”
“Who said anything about me moving in with you?” Barry asked.
“I did,” Iris said. “Right now. If you want.”
“Well, I’ll have to think about it,” Barry said. “How negotiable is the lab?”
“Non,” Iris said. “My nephew lives with me. You know what happened last time one of my nephews was in your dubious bedroom lab.”
“Wally was fine,” Barry said.
Iris raised her eyebrow.
“That’s fair,” Barry said. “Do you think they would let me hide a secret lab under the Flash Museum? I mean, Batman has a lair, Superman has his Fortress, the Rogues have had lairs, I have a lab in my spare bedroom, a secret lab under a museum would be way more fun. I could ask Wallace and Avery for secret entrance ideas.”
“You’re a dork,” Iris laughed. “Did you…”
She trailed off and Barry took her hand in his.
“I love you, Iris,” he said. “I’d get to wake up next to you every morning and fall asleep at your side every night, how could I possibly turn that down?”
“I love you too,” Iris said.
She smiled and Barry couldn’t help but bend down to kiss her.
