The aroma of eggs seeped through the air, crawling through the cracks of a room. This happened to be the room that Rocket was asleep in, politely awaked from that every smell. He sniffed the air before quickly sitting up, yanking the blankets off his body. He slipped on his slippers, making great haste to get to the door. Grabbing and pulling it open, sunlight met him. The ever so warm sun brushed his body, like a tender kiss. Embracing the sun was a necessary. He stood there, letting his body soak up the sun like a sponge would with water.
Soon after his quick reunion, he made his way out and down the hall. That very smell of eggs growing more obvious, a nice breakfast was brewing. Oh, how he would love to chow down on some eggs and bacon. Yet, some dreams come true.

Rocket met Sword in the kitchen. Sword seemed busy flipping and multitasking some simple breakfast foods. Rocket thought it would be a great idea to spook Sword. Since he wasn't aware of his presence yet, from the loud cracking and sizzling of the foods, it would be a great time to strike.
Rocket roared like a beast, jumping onto Sword. Sword screamed like a girl, his arms shooting upward in fear. Upon further examination, it was just Rocket. Sword chuckled, wrapping his muscular arm around Rocket's shoulder, pulling him in for a quick forehead smooch.

"You nearly scared the soul outta me Rocket!" Sword spoke, still chuckling.

"Ain't my fault that you're distracted!" Rocket happily replied, "So what's cooking good lookin'?"

"Just making a hearty breakfast for me and my favorite demon in the whole world!" Sword hummed, flipping a couple eggs while talking. "Why don't you wait at the table 'till I'm finished?

"Okaaaayy." Rocket cheerfully replied, making his way to the table, plopping himself down on a chair. He leaned back, tapping his fingers on the table while waiting.

Soon, Sword brought Rocket a plate full of food. "Woah!! All this food for what??" Rocket questioned.

"Because we're going on a adventure today!" Sword exclaimed, sitting down next to him with another plate full of food.

"What type of adventure?"

"We're gonna see snow!!"

"So cool!!" Rocket quickly started eating, Sword following in the same steps.

Soon, the both of them finished their food. Sword collected the plates, walking over to the kitchen sink to place them in. Meanwhile, Rocket went to the cabinet to grab some fluffy, yet warm snow clothes, setting it on the table. The both of them hurriedly put the clothes on, making sure it was tightly fit so they wouldn't get too cold out there. They exited their home, walking hand in hand to the edge of the Crossroads. Both looking at the entrance to Blackrock. Looking at each other, they knew that this would be a good time. They made their way through all of the secret nooks and crannies of that place, until...

They finally arrived to the Blackrock region, snow was generously pouring down. As Sword and Rocket witnessed this, they walked hand in hand, not minding the snow. For Sword and Rocket, both of them were bundled in endless layers of clothes, yet, the cold icy wind snuggled between every layer. Rocket happily walked with Sword, releasing his hand to pick up some snow. He made a snowball, tossing it at Sword. It Sword shivered, holding his hands up.

"H-Hey!! No fair!" He laughed, scooping up some snow to make his own snowball. He tossed it at Rocket. This went on for a little while, both of them Bdodging and throwing snowballs. It was joyful, no one to interrupt their snowball fight. It ended with laughs and hugs, Both of them hugging it out while laughing. Soon enough, both of them were making snow angels on the ground. The snow seeped into their clothes, it was getting chilly now.  As Sword noticed that the cold was settling in, he called out to Rocket.

"Rocket! Dude, It's time to head back home now!"
But, Rocket wasn't around.

"Rocket?? Rocket???? Yo Rocket!?" Sword frantically looked around, confused. At this moment, Sword's blood ran cold. He didn't know if Rocket was okay or not. His mind raced, trying to think of all the possible things that could've happened to Rocket.

Did someone or something catch him?

Did he fall in some icy tomb??

Did he just disappear like that???

Suddenly, a voice yelled from above him, startling him.

"IT'S SHOWTIIIIMMEEE!!!"

Rocket's signature phinisher line.

Sword quickly looked, already seeing the atrocity before his eyes. Rocket, standing on a hill, throwing many snowballs in the air. It seemed like a hailstorm. As Sword ran, they soon caught up with him. Pomfing against his back and head. He covered his head while running, even while being struck.
With Rocket's good aim, he kept striking Sword with snowballs, until he fell down. Rocket quickly approached, laughing.

"How was that??" He said, nudging Sword.

Sword pushed himself up, sighing, "Ain't too bad! But, Ya got me cold!" He said, shivering.

Rocket looked saddened, "Aw, sorry dude!" He rubbed the back of his head.

"We should probably head back home, aren't you getting cold too?" He said, standing up

"Sure am!"

"Well, lets get.. heading..." Sword paused, looking around. "Do you remember where we came from?"

Rocket also looked around, "No.. I really don't..."The landscape seemed.. a little blurry. Along with the everlasting snow that always continues to fall, it was hard to see around. It was like a big foggy wall of snow. Sword quickly grabbed Rocket's mitten with his, slowly leading the way.
The two of them kept walking, Sword leading while Rocket leads the way. Snow piled on their backs as they walked, soaking in.
Rocket noticed that his leg prosthetic started locking up on him, he tugged on Sword.

"E-ey Sword..! Wait just a moment... Something isn't right with my leg..." Rocket seemed to hop on his normal leg, grabbing Sword's shoulder to keep him in place. Sword stopped, letting Rocket do what he needed to do. Rocket tried to fix the joint, but it seemed to snap off. Just for the small amount of moisture and frost made the metal snap in half, making the leg fall into pieces. Sword noticed, his eyes widening. Rocket grumbled, looking up at Sword.

"Mind carrying me instead?" He said, managing to pull a weak smile.

"No worries!" Sword replied, picking up Rocket while walking. He held him in his arms, like he was actually injured. Rocket started sneezing, his nose started running while his face got red.

"You alright?" Sword asked, looking down at Rocket.

"F-fine. I'm fine, Sword." He said, sounding a bit sick. Looking a bit sick too.

Sword stared at the ground, it eluded to him. "Rocket? I wanna make a memory, real quick!" He spoke as he knelt down on the ground. Rocket freaked out, clinging to Sword.

"Dude!! What are you doing?!"

"I wanna make snow angels with you!"

"...You want to make snow angels, and have me make one with a missing leg??"

"oh.. I really didn't think of that!"

Sword still proceeded with his action, setting Rocket onto the snow. He laid down next to Rocket, still smiling. He started to make his snow angel, Rocket slowly following along. Sword and Rocket enjoyed each other's company, making these snow angels took the unbearable cold of the snow away. The snow seemed so warm.

"R.. rocket? chh.. it's really warm.. yknow..?" Sword nudged Rocket, his body seemed stiff. Sword's wings trembled, slowly reaching out to cover Rocket's body, like a nice blanket.

"... are you warm too?..." Sword asked, tilting his ever so cold head towards Rocket.

...No reply.

"...hah.. I bet you're just enjoying.. the warm snow.." Sword stared down at the snow, patting it with his frigid hand.
Sword's frosty breath lingered in the air as he slowly moved himself on his back. The snow soaking into his clothes. Into his skin.

"R..ocket..?" Sword asked.

"I.. I'm getting.. tired.." He spoke, very softly and quietly. "I think.. the warm snow's making me.. tired.. y'know? I think.. I'm gonna.. take a nap.." Sword's eyes closed, he tried his best to pull himself closer to Rocket. He was holding Rocket, just a little. "I love you.." He muttered, before going to sleep. His breathing slowly came to a stop. Following Rocket into wherever he went.

What a horrible way to lay in the snow, at least they were together.

"You know. I wouldn't never believe to be working with a menacing mercenary like yourself." Medkit added, "I never believed that you would try to help me either.

"I mean, you aren't wrong." Hyperlaser replied. "I would make sure you wouldn't live to tell the tale, but I quite don't care at this point."

"You know I'm not a snitch."

"In which, you'll live."

Medkit and Hyperlaser were seen walking with each other, through the snowy landscape that is Blackrock.
"How do you thrive in this landscape? It's so ridged and cold, I couldn't imagine living here." Medkit asked.

"It's a good trap for invaders. They get lost on the way to our facility, so they die in this cold. I also have a keen eye for said intruders."

Hyperlaser looked around, slowly, like a bird. He did spot something, something red and blue. Something that was very noticeable in this white blanket of a place. "Hey. Look." Hyperlaser nudged Medkit, pointing to that Red and Blue patch in-between the snow.

Medkit looked over, squinting his eyes through the falling snow. "What? It's probably just some scrap."

"Scrap is useful out here." Hyperlaser bluntly said, walking over there.

Medkit had no other choice but to follow, shivering in his own clothes. Hyperlaser approached, pushing the snow off of this supposed, "Scrap".

Two demons lay there, holding each other.
Hyperlaser was silent, he slowly turned to Medkit, who was approaching slowly.

"Demons." He muttered.

"What?" Medkit's head tilted, he walked closer. Seeing the two bodies of two demons.

"It's just some demons." He shrugged.

"It's not just two demons." Hyperlaser rebuttled, picking one up. Lifting up Sword.

Medkit's eyes widened, quickly walking over. "Shit".

He stared at Sword, holding out his arms. "Give him to me, you pick up the other. Hyperlaser placed Sword in his arms, Grabbing and slinging Rocket over his shoulder.

"I'll lead the way back." Hyperlaser spoke, before quickly walking off. Medkit quickly following behind, he seemed to ignore the harsh cold.

Step, after step, after step, the two of them soon made it back to Crossroads. "We're going to my place, I'll heal them from there." Medkit spoke, sadness choaking up his throat.

Hyperlaser simply nodded, following Medkit now. The two of them made their way to the Lost Temple. Medkit set Sword down, reaching for Rocket, in which Hyperlaser handed Medkit.

"That should be all." Medkit said.

"Should I be leaving?"

"If you really need to, go right ahead."

"I could stay for a few." Hyperlaser sat down, watching the two.

"I'll gladly let you stay, knowing that you won't do anything."

"I'm just here to protect you."

"Thanks for that."

"Happy to help."
