"Please keep quiet for the duration of this meeting, children. I do not want a repeat of what happened last time." the soon to be queen spoke with great authority even to her twin children without a care in the nation. The twins in question, looked to each other and in unison said "yes mother!" and hurried off to a secluded balcony on the second floor of the meeting room. "do you think she can hear us if we whisper reallyyy quiet lyra?" spoke one to the other. "probably not. but what if she does and we get in super big trouble?", lyra had a generally worried yet confused look on her face as she spoke back to her sisters question. "you're right as usual, I really don't want to get on moms bad side right now, she has a really important person shes meeting today! Or at least that's what she says. We should go play while she talks to whoever shes meeting." Riya never cared much for what her mother thought about her or her sister, but she still didn't like getting yelled at by her after a failed meeting, so they ran along to their rooms to play together. The Lyspelle family line had a habit of yelling without reason or care, And their mother, Calypso, was of no exception, so even though they weren't present for the meeting, they still got scolded loudly after her mother nearly botched her meeting with the king.
{around 5 to 6 years later..}
When the Lyspelle sisters come around, everyone knows to duck their head and be respectful. The reason for this is transparent if your a citizen. they had been declared witches a year ago today, and they go around flaunting their powers and hurting people for fun every chance they get. Not much the civilians can do about it though as the King and their mother Calypso married 2 years ago. Hushed murmurs swept through the crowds that parted on the streets as they walked. Some people in awe, the majority however were terrified. Whispering things like 'why must they be out at this bustling time of day?' or 'the Lyspelle twins are so stuck up! They surely have to be putting up an act.' after hearing this, Lyra was rather frustrated, So she talked back. "Act or not, we do not appreciate the rather rude and hurtful comments directed towards us when me and my lovely sister Riya are simply trying to have a walk." she kept her head and high, showing an immense face of satisfaction when she saw the wide eyes of the crowd point to the direction of the citizen who made the comment. "thank all you lovely citizens for guiding us to our one and only snark in the crowd." they walked along the faded blue bricks of the streets to the culprit in question. "Ma'ams i think there's been some kind of misunderstanding right? I would never say something so.. Derogatory to his highness' only daughters and heirs to the throne! I tell you I would never say such things!" the citizen spoke quickly, only to be met with a short and simple question. "what's your name?" the crowd dispersed faster than a bunch of sheep being herded into a paddock. That question only meant one thing coming from one of the twins of the kingdoms royalty, they were checking their answers. Checking their answers, as in they already knew who you were, never needed to ask your name, it was all for fear factor, but god it worked. Worked like a hex every single time they used it. "its always so difficult to talk to new people isn't it Naveeh? Answer my question." Lyra and Riya spoke in unison now, like a machine in perfect working order. "i really need to get to my grandmothers house, shes very far. And I cant risk her being alone for too long!" Naveeh chuckled skittishly before it died down into more of a scared whimper, almost like that of a dogs. "quit lying, me and Lyra really don't like liars. Your grandmother died a year and a half ago, and she was practically your neighbor in her last days."
