The two laid in silence, holding eachother close as the moonlight bored in through the window.
The sun god covered them in his wings, a comforting warmth radiated as they rested.
It was their first night together, there wasn't anything special happened. They were just enjoying their time with eachother.
Solaris stroked the king's pure white hair, carefully avoiding the thorns while doing so. His chin was rested on the older man's head slightly, an inch away from touching more specifically.
Minos hugged the deity as he slept soundly, snoring softly.
The god pulled up the covers before he carassed the judge's cheek gently, he didn't need sleep but decided to play along anyway.
The two cuddled with one another, their legs entertwining with eachother. Again, the reflected light shone through the window, casting onto the couple, making their skin glow dimly.
As they laid peacefully, Solaris pretended to be unconscious as Minos pet him, oblivious to the fact his love was awake.
The king smiled warmly, circling the deity's cheek with his thumb with grace.
"Thou art so elegant... my star..."
He planted a soft kiss on the god's forehead.
Minos pulled him in, kissing him gently all over Solaris' face. The judge brushed his hand through the god's golden hair, he couldn't see it but he could feel its warmth, something that he adored dearly. As Minos ran his fingers across Solaris' hair, the deity then rubbed his index on the thorns, not pricking himself even once.
The two laid there as the king massaged the god's back. The lights gleams were fainter than before, causing the chamber to be dark.
Solaris laid on Minos' chest, whimpering in pain quietly as the bruises and wounds on his body ached in pain. The judge cooed softly as he comforted his dearest.
"Art thou alright, my beloved..?"
"I'm.. ugh... o-ouch..."
"Oh my, I'm so sorry-"
"N-no.. it's alright my dear..."
Solaris held the king's hand gently, stroking it as he laid.
"Thee should rest, thy wounds are still healing."
The god nodded, resting his head above Minos' heart, listening to his heart beat as he closed his eyes. Relaxing as the judge petted his head.
Solaris had fought a strange machine, blue in colour with yellow wings but very bulky and large in shape. In the end, many had perished from that thing. It was devastating for Heaven as it already had a more major problem. God had mysteriously disappeared...
As Solaris laid in the shared bed, he wept as the loud silence maddened him.
He just lost his one and only, his meaning, his sanctuary, his purpose. For eons and eons, he had played a simple yet crucial role for humanity. He was person that controlled the lights in the play while the others acted it out, never truly known nor thanked, just the person behind the scenes.
The moon didn't shine anymore, it just reflected the soft rays that shone. The gleams barely beamed into the room, mere reaching inside, lingering near the window sill.
As the cool wind caressed his skin, he couldn't help but cry. It felt like his sweetheart was hugging him, yet he knew that it was a simple facade. But he wanted him back, he needed him. But what could he do, truly? He can't even resurrect Minos, he doesn't have the power to do it.
As he laid in the bed, he couldn't shake off the feeling that the bed was empty. Someone was missing.
The deity unfurled his wings and wrapped them around himself, like a cozy blanket, but it couldn't warm is heart.
He slowly fell asleep, the memory of Minos forever ingraved in his mind and lifetime.
