Work Text:
Elinor was grateful her sister was not present to see how very small the Delaford parsonage was, not because her company or commentary would be unappreciated, but because it would be an unfair test of Marianne’s newfound commitment to restraint.
It certainly tested her own more established probity.
Still, the work would be shared, and Elinor would not trade the opportunity to enjoy her husband’s humble dwelling for the world.
