Chapter Text
"In and out, Jisung. Don't let anything distract you. Don't make me disappointed, take this as a test to show your worth to me. There's no room for failure."
Jisung takes a deep breath at his fathers words, nodding his head slowly. He knows his father cares a lot for his mafia; but he hates how he would make him feel like Jisung is completely useless if he didn't take the same approach. If he is being honest, he couldn't care less about his fathers gang. In all honesty he despises it. That is why he let his older brother take full charge of everything, and has waited so long to join himself. He still to this day wouldn't have joined, if it wasn't for his fathers demand of him to. His father can be... extreme when someone denies. In the end, Jisung gave in.
At least, it isn't so bad, at least for now. He just has to sneak a briefcase away from someone that is of importance. He has no clue what is in the case, all he knows is he is not to return home without it. He's been training for a little over a month, gaining strength and endurance. He still is certainly not very powerful, but it is enough for him to handle himself if attacked until someone would come to help him. Namely his body guard, Seo Changbin. He is around Jisung's age, a few years older. He has been with the family for about 3 years now, protecting Jisung in any circumstance needed. It was a bit odd at first, but rather quickly Changbin became someone Jisung trusts whole heartedly and would definitely put his life in his hands with no fear.
"Yes, father. I'll be as quick as possible." He answers, stepping out of the vehicle. Changbin climbs out of the back, closing the door before patting Jisung's shoulder.
"You got this. Just keep calm and collected. The minute you need something, call. I'll be there." He tells him. Changbin will stay outside for watch, as to not draw suspicion to Jisung.
Jisung gave a small smile and nods, before walking himself over to the bar. Already he can feel a few wondering eyes look his direction. To be fair, he is quite eye appealing tonight.
Dressed in all black, Jisung wears a satin button up with the first two bottoms undone to expose some of his chest. The sleeves are complete sheer material. He has them tucked into a pair of his black dress pants, a belt intact to show off his slim waist. His hair fluffy yet styled, letting his face be exposed and in view.
His father had said his looks would get him far to getting the briefcase. Han didn't like that imply, but nonetheless agreed.
Inside is very pact when Jisung gets inside. Loud music fills the air, making it a bit difficult to hear your own thoughts. People in swarms occupy the dance floor, drunk or getting close to it. The bar itself is pretty full, but still has a few seats.
The brunette moves around, but finds it hard to see anyone. The crowd is so large, and it is even difficult to maneuver through. He looks around for a good while, but it is no use.
Jisung decides to test his luck at the bar. Maybe the man he is looking for is sitting there. Or at least, hopefully it would give him a clear view of mostly everything and be able to spot the man he needs.
Finding one of the last empty seats of the bar, Jisung takes it and asks for a fruity drink when the bartender asks. He is sitting there patiently, eyes roaming around in search of his target. He isn't paying attention to the bartender, so when he hears a glass be sat in the counter, he assumes it's his. As he reaches out to it, he feels his hand fall over someone else's.
Shooting his head over, he looks down at a hand wrapped around a glass that clearly wasn't what Jisung ordered, occupied by his own hand on top. Carefully raising his eyes to meet the other, he can't help but freeze at the man before him.
Tall and slim, yet well muscled, sat a man around Jisung's age, maybe older by just a few years. He wore a pair of black dress pants as well, with a black almost sweater-like long sleeve. The top reaches about the middle of his neck, not quite as long as a turtle neck. His hair is parted nicely to expose his forehead, his eyes staring right back at Jisung, seeming to read his thoughts. This mystery man is certainly handsome, Jisung thinks. His looks alone are breathtaking.
Is this what it is like to love at first sight? Or maybe not love, but to have a strong desire to want someone? Just from a look alone, Jisung wants to know everything and anything about this man before him. His heart feels it'll explode from his chest at any moment. He never felt such a strong urge to be near and know somebody.
Coming back to his senses after far too long, Jisung clears his throat and retracts his hand. "I'm sorry. I thought that one was mine." He explains, dropping his hand back into his lap. The man hasn't taken his gaze of Jisung yet, and it makes him feel a bit warm inside.
"Aah, it's okay. No worries." He responds, taking the drink. Jisung nods and silence follows as he plays with his fingers. He felt embarrassed, just a bit at that interaction.
His own drink is soon delivered and he thanks the waiter. He takes one sip before the voice beside him speaks again.
"Interesting choice. Not a big alcohol fan?"
Jisung looks back over at him, eyeing him up and down while the mystery man stares back, waiting.
"Not really. I do like some though." He then glances at the others glass. "Interesting choice too. A big alcohol fan?"
The man hums softly with a smile.
"I don't mind it. I could do without it. Today was long though, and I like something strong after a long day." He says, taking a swig. "I haven't seen you around before. What's your name?"
It appears this man wants to keep conversation going. Jisung should really decline, walk away to continue his search; however, he can't find himself willing or able to walk away from this stranger. There is an undeniable attraction to him, and he couldn't just leave it now.
"Jisung. And yours?"
"Minho."
The name feigned formality for Jisung, but he couldn't quite place it. He decides to ignore that feeling. It's nothing- Or so he thinks.
"Nice to meet you, Minho." He greets, taking a sip of his drink. Minho smiles back at him.
"You too." He answers, resting his chin on his knuckles. "... Tell me about yourself."
Jisung raises an eyebrow softly, slowly smiling. He leans toward the other, humming.
"Is that your way of hitting on me?"
Minho chuckles, leaning back slightly. A slightest tint of a flush rests on his cheeks, and Jisung feels some pride at the sight. Minho moves his gaze back to Jisung, seeming as if he is the most interesting thing he's ever seen.
"And if it is? Does that bother you?"
Jisung felt his heart beat quick in his chest again, the corners of his lips curling up. Does that mean Minho feels the same attraction Jisung has felt?
He feigns nonchalances, lightly shrugging.
"I suppose not. What would you like to know?"
Jisung gets completely and utterly loss in time while talking with Minho. Everything else seems nonexistent. He forgets he's in a bar that reeks of alcohol and sweat. He forgets the loud music giving him a headache. He forgets about the reason of his whereabouts here. His entire focus goes on Minho, who is so easy to talk to and get along with.
He tells Minho about himself; he tells him about his brother, about his best friend Felix, and even goes into a deep dive about his dog Bbama. Minho in return also tells him things; he tells him about his young brother Jeongin who he cares for deeply, his best friend Hyunjin, and in return to Jisung's pet story, he tells the brunette about his own three cats. Everything rolls off the tongue easily with Minho. They seem to click instantly. It felt like Jisung has known him forever.
Far too soon, Jisung hears his phone ring. "Ah, one moment." He requests, turning to his phone and reading the caller ID. 'Binnie'. That's when Jisung's memory suddenly seems to return. Shit. I'm in trouble.
Accepting the call, Jisung puts the phone up to his ear.
"Changbin?"
"Ji, are you okay in there? What's taking so long? Do you need me to come in?" Changbin's voice laced with a hint of worry rang into the other line.
Jisung can't believe he is being so stupid. This is his first mission, and he's currently blowing it. How could he allow himself to get distracted so quickly? If he didn't get out soon, he'd be getting a rough reprimand from his father.
He scans in a hurry for sight of the man he was originally here for. After a minute or so he spots him, sitting alone, with the briefcase he needs. At least he is in sight and close.
"Sorry, I'm almost done. Ten more minutes or so. I'm okay." Jisung reassures.
Quickly ending the call, Jisung looks at Minho who is waiting patiently. Jisung didn't want to leave him so soon. He has just started to get to know him. But it would have to be it for now.
But not forever.
Grabbing a napkin, he asks a bartender for a pen. He writes down his number and passes it over to Minho.
"I'm sorry, I completely forgot I came here to meet someone. But... feel free to give me a call sometime. I'd love to eventually pick up where we left off." Jisung smiles. Minho looks disappointed, maybe from their sudden departure, but still smiles and nods.
"Mm. I'll be sure to call you soon, then."
Jisung grins and nods before slipping off the bar stool.
"I'll see you around."
Walking away, Jisung takes a deep breath before instantly heading toward the target. He needs to get this done. He can think again about Minho later.
The man he approaches is manly, and clearly resonates a dominant persona. His arrogance and vein can basically be smelled from a mile away.
Smile. Talk lightly. Get in and get out.
Carefully sitting down beside the man, Jisung smiles and gently puts his hand on his shoulder to gain attention. The older turns toward him, and Jisung does not miss the way his eyes slowly travel down to take in his appearance.
"Hello, sir. You looked a bit lonely. Care if I keep you some company?" He asks, just like Felix had rehearsed with him. 'Sir' would make the man feel powerful and respected. Asking to keep company would imply flirty intention. Perfect combination, Felix said.
It seems to work. The man brings his eyes back up and brings a slow smirk to his face. He reaches out and rests a hand on his thigh, leaning closer. Jisung wants to slap his hand away, but refrains from doing so.
"Sure. I don't mind a doll like you sitting with me." Jisung can smell the stench of alcohol waft over his face from the man's breath, yet keeps his pretty smile.
They talk for a few minutes, flirty and suggestive. The hand never leaves his thigh, only rising higher and higher. Jisung can't wait to get out of here.
Putting his hand back on the man's shoulder, Jisung brings his lips to his ear.
"Do you mind going and grabbing me one more drink from the bar? It can be anything. After, maybe you'd like to head to your place together... hm?" Jisung request. The man easily picks up on what Jisung is suggesting, nodding with his words.
"Sure thing, doll. I'll be back."
"Don't be long~" Jisung calls as the man walks off. As soon as he's out of sight he lets his smile drop. He hated that. But at least it's over. He turns his gaze to the briefcase the man carelessly left behind to get drinks. It seems crazy how easy it was to trick someone like that. It was good for him, at least.
Standing, Jisung grabs up the briefcase and swiftly makes his exit before the unknown man can return with drinks.

Minho could not help but let his eyes follow the Jisung. He also couldn't help but let curiosity run. Who had Jisung came here to visit?
At first he is able to refrain from looking for Jisung. But the more he thinks, the more he wants to know. Finishing off his whiskey, he stands and heads in the direction Jisung went. It took him a minute, but he eventually he spots him.
At first, Minho feels betrayed in some way.
Jisung was with another man, and it is clear they were not simply friends. The unnamed man's hand was stroking his thigh, and Jisung has his hand on his shoulder. Jisung had been playing him then? He didn't seem the type. But I guess you can never be sure.
Minho is getting ready to walk away in disappointment, but then the man stood up and Minho's stomach dropped at who it is.
This... can't be. There's no way..
The older walks away leaving Jisung alone. He watches the other pick up a briefcase and easily make his escape. Minho didn't know what to do, how to react.
Minho... he is also here on a mission. The same as Jisung, to steal the brief case from that man.
Minho happens to be second in command to a mafia group in rivalry with what seems to be Jisung's group. Minho had been warned that the opposing gang would also be present tonight in attempt to steal the case, and Minho was instructed to bring that case home and not let the other party get it.
However, Minho had no idea Jisung is the enemy. He wouldn't have communicated with him if he knew. How is he suppose to stop him now? Though they talked for a short time, Minho already felt attached somehow to the brunette he met. He has never felt such a deep connection with someone, and so fast at that.
He should have followed him out. He should have stolen the brief case from Jisung. He shouldn't have let him walk away.
And yet, Minho did.
