Work Text:

Alhaitham fixed his stance beside the altar, nervously glancing at the church doors. The guest walks through the middle before taking a seat at their respective arrangement. The longer the wait is, the faster his heart beats. Hands have gotten clammy and while he isn't the most expressive person, it seems like everyone knew that he was nervous yet excited. Cyno stands beside him as his best man, staring at him and offering his silent support.

Once all of the guests had arrived, the whole place became quiet, only the sound of the piano could be heard. In the entrance, Kaveh stands in his glory. Alhaitham stared at his soon-to-be-husband, eyes full of fondness and joy. The sun shines towards his hair, making him glow and look more ethereal. He then walks toward the altar, holding his bouquet of flowers. He caught Alhaitham’s gaze and reciprocated it with a warm smile. Alhaitham never knew that Kaveh could be more beautiful than he already is. His red eyes shine like an eternal sunset, and his blond hair frames his gentle face. Kaveh, his mirror, and his other half. Without him, his life would stay the same as he always is. He wants nothing more than to be with him for the rest of their lives and to the next and every life they get.

Kaveh took the step in front of Alhaitham and turned towards him. He took the chance to observe his soon-to-be-husband, The way his ashen hair is slicked back, his teal eyes on display, and looking at him so softly, his lips ever so slightly tilted upwards. He cherished this view to his heart’s content. His Haitham, the stoic and lonely junior he met at the house of Daena, his closest best friend, his savior when he fell due to his own life decision, his handsomely smart yet annoying roommate, his lover from now and forever. His eyes watered and his chest felt ready to explode from the amount of love he had for his Haitham. He is ready to cherish him and his companionship till the end of times and across the afterlife.

The officiant says their greetings while Alhaitham and Kaveh stare at each other. Time slows down for them as they cherish their lover and the memories they made together. Alhaitham remembers the first time they met each other. His reading was disturbed by a senior of ksharewar. He was annoyed at first but he couldn't help but to think of how pretty the senior was. The way they style their hair into a braid that lays on his shoulder and some loose strands fading into a brown color. Those eyes that held way too much worry for a stranger he just met. From that moment, he was captivated but he never expected those feelings to bloom into something more. Kaveh, the one who saw through him. the one who continued to befriend the blunt and straightforward junior he saw at the house of Daena even after that rough first interaction. His gentle and kind heart that he offers to anyone, leaving nothing for himself. So from now on, this cold heart of mine will warm up and be offered before you.

The officiant’s speech ended and it was time for their vows. Kaveh listens as Alhaitham announces his vow first. His tone is so loving and passionate, only reserved for Kaveh and him only. Hasn’t it always been like this? Both of them are an exception to one another. So special to each other that things they usually don't do are done without hesitation for the other. His savior who was an acceptor of fate and he who usually gives away kindness finally accepts some back. Alhaitham, a lover of silence, lets Kaveh stay in his house even if his sleep is disrupted by the sounds of hammering and petty arguments is a part of their routine. Kaveh, who always pleases everyone else, accepts Alhaitham’s house and lets himself feel at home.

Kaveh couldn't help but let a few tears drop as Alhaitham finished off his vow. Alhaitham brought up his hand and wiped the tears of his husband. His love is beautiful as always even as he cries. He promised to love him in weal and woe, To accompany and help him through times of sadness, and gladly have him till the end of time. Kaveh starts his vows, his voice shaky from crying but still lovely to the ears of Al Haitham. His voice brimmed with euphoria as he announced his promises to Al Haitham. Loving Kaveh has always been something he does happily and for Kaveh to accept, it brings him immense joy. He stares at Kaveh who continues with his speech, while tears still flow and cheeks are flushed. He returns his own teary smile as Kaveh wraps up his vows.
