The first thing that caught him off guard the most when he entered his classroom, it's not his late attendance, but rather, the most unforgivable thing he'd never forget.
His seat was decorated with pink along with a basket and vase of flowers! And top it all off, it's also the classroom decorating day! And the first thing they decorated was his seat, and everyone just stared and laughed their heads off.
Even his own teacher made fun of him.
“My, my, who knew my student of justice likes Pink, right?” Mr. Papa commented and poked Boboiboy's cheek while his shocked look stayed frozen like a statue.
That made everyone laugh and mocked him for the condition of his seat. But the ones who decorated it were laughing with tears falling from their eyes.
Of course after what they'd been through recently from that incident, Gopal and Fang still do this.
“What's so funny?”
The laughter stopped when that voice snapped him out of it. All the attention goes to Suzy who just stood there with the bag down and her hands clenched tight. And she's extremely pissed off.
While it was unusual for everyone to see her this way, Boboiboy remembered that look only too well.
This is like back in Kota Hilir all over again.
“You jerks, all of you.” Everyone was taken aback, and somewhat hurt over this. “You're the reason why I'm still uncomfortable with boys to an extent,” she stared at some of her now ex friends. “And I thought girls are also nice but I should've known better than that.”
“What are you trying to say?” The blonde girl, Amy, questioned her.
“Yeah, it's only a joke.” The boy with the glasses, Amar Deep, chimed in.
Suzy fumed in anger. “You think this is a joke?! Is that it, huh?!” She turned to Mr. Papa. “And what kind of teacher are you to let this slide, huh?! This is bullying and injustice ! You know it and I know it! And you did NOTHING!”
Mr Papa was left speechless by her outburst. He also froze into a statue like Boboiboy did.
She gazed back at his seat in disdain. “Who did this?”
Iwan stepped out and pointed to Fang and Gopal with a quiet gesture so they couldn't notice him. Suzy glared at the two before she went over to Boboiboy's table.
“Suzy, wait!” He tried to intervene but to no avail. Knowing how she used to keep the bullies away from him back then, she always took it personally. And it was never a good result on his behalf
.
And she has gotten more stubborn than before.
She approached the table and grabbed the small vase. And glanced at both boys near her before returning to the vase.
In a flash, she yelled and smashed the base into the ground. She threw the basket of red roses right into Fang's face that made him fall off from his chair. She yanked the covers and threw them to Gopal who fully wrapped him as a result.
Everyone was shocked and some just got scared of her sudden course of action.
“Since you two like to decorate things for fun, then let's see how much you like getting decorated!” She screamed in rage.
Boboiboy pulled her back. “Suzy, please stop!”
Fang got up and looked pissed off too. “What is your problem?!”
Suzy glared daggers at him. “My problem is that jerks like you two made me sick!” She snarled. “Especially when you called yourselves his friend!” Her glare shifted into disbelief. “You two are so unbelievable. Don't ever mess with us again because you're no match for Budak Kota Hilir!”
“Huh? What's that?” Fang questioned her.
But instead of answering him, she spun around and took Boboiboy by the hand. “Come on, let's get out of here.”
Boboiboy couldn't help but follow her. “Where are we going?”
“We'll just go out until this cools down.” She said but stopped in her tracks when Yaya came in her way.
She frowned in disappointment at her role model much to Yaya's confusion as to why she's like this.
“What's wrong, Suzy?”
“Do you know?” She demanded.
“Know what?”
She grumbled. “My friend here had just been bullied! Not even your best friend who called herself the vice class president does anything about it!”
Yaya was shocked at her outburst. “What?”
“Yeah, you heard me,” she continued. “Let me ask again, did you know?”
Yaya hesitated but that demanding look from her diehard fangirl forced her mouth open to release the answer.
“Well…I noticed Fang picking on him once, and then I had him punished for that.” She admitted.
“But that isn't enough to make him stop, did it?” She challenged her, when Yaya couldn't give an answer, she declared, “Look, if there's nothing else you could have done for him, then let me do it. Come on, dude.”
She guided him away from the classroom leaving everyone speechless and fearful of her.
When they reached the football field, Boboiboy yanked his hand away much to her surprise.
“What?” She startled at his disapproving look.
“You don't need to be a little unhinged back there.” He scolded.
Suzy scoffed. “And what do you expect me to do? You know that I never let anyone in school make life hell for you and get away with it.”
He shook his head in disappointment. “I know but still, you can't be really aggressive over that. It's too much! I mean, I should've known you reacted to it that way.”
Suzy grumbled and crossed her arms. “Fine, but I'm very upset. I thought they're your friends, but of course even after all of us had been through last month's incident with that evil alien, they did this too.”
Boboiboy understands that, and never forgets how stubborn she can be.
Like how she refused to listen when he told her from time and again to back off from confronting the bullies and she always insisted that the teachers can't help make it stop. And that always came back and bite them. As annoyed as he was for the way she stood up for him, he's already used to it at this point.
But sometimes he needs her to understand his concerns of her actions.
“Suzy, I've already moved on from the bullying back home, besides, it wasn't as bad as before. And I'm kind of used to it for a while now.”
Suzy raised her eyebrow. “Really? Even when they embarrassed you in front of the class? It's really bad because the ones who called themselves your friends orchestrated it for laughs and giggles.”
She groan in frustration. “Are you also saying that they'd been picking on you for how long?”
Boboiboy scratched his head. “Well, it was Fang who made life here difficult for me, and I'm shocked to know that Gopal took part in this.”
“I felt the same way about him,” she replied. “As for Fang, I should've known. After all, he hated you the first time you came here.”
“And I suppose that my friendship with him is still new, so he still likes to mess with me.” Boboiboy second guessed it. “But I could use some time away from him after what he did.”
Her icy gaze changed into concern. “What else did he did to you?”
So, he told her about what happened last Tuesday and Wednesday, and also recalled that she was sick around those times as well. Needless to say, she's not happy.
“Boboiboy, why didn't you tell me that after I recovered? At this rate, you'll be doing counseling for a month, and that wouldn't happen if you told me beforehand!”
“Even if I did, you'll just get both of us in trouble like back then.” He stated.
“And let them get away with it?” she retorted. “Even if you're a superhero with awesome powers, I still can't stand seeing you getting picked on. And it's disgusting that your friends did that to you.”
Boboiboy rested his hand on her shoulder. “Suzy, I understand. But now I'm asking you to please be a little reasonable if this happens again, and since you guys don't want me to know about the disciplinary teacher, I assume you don't want me to get in trouble with him, right?”
The mention of his name made Suzy look back at the times she got both of them into trouble because of her. While she couldn't bear to see her best friend being targeted by others, she's still at fault for the results of her intervention.
And the last thing she needs is to get him into trouble with the disciplinary teacher.
Finally, she relent. “Fine, but don't think I'm happy that you never told me everything beforehand and because of that, you're likely to spend an entire month counseling.”
Boboiboy put his smile back on. “Don't worry about me, Suzy. Because I know they'll get their comeuppance by now.”
“But I'm likely to be in trouble for breaking that vase and fighting back,” she reminded him.
His smile fell into a blank expression. “Oh, I'm sorry about that.”
Suzy just shrugged. “That doesn't matter now, what matters is that I always have your back, and they didn't see it coming.” She smirked in triumph.
His smile returned and both thumbs rising up. “Hehehe, Awesome
