Work Text:
Shealtiel and I are getting ready for a slightly frosty walk early in the morning. He had stated he wanted to go early which is around when it shouldn't be too cold. Well he was a liar. I am freezing to death. I'm barely awake as we walk past our apartment building when a burst of freezing winds hit my delicate features.
Though, when I turn my head towards Shealtiel to winge, I come to a halt as he's standing out beautifully in the reflected rays of sunlight. The almost pure white shine of snow in the background accentuates his mellow skin and blonde locks. His blue eyes almost glow the same way a magical girl glows when transforming. It's breath taking. *He's* breathtaking.
Though apparently I've been gazing at him for too long, for my face erupts in pain as I head face first into a metal pole.
Rubbing my poor, runny nose, Shealtiel snickers at me.
"What were you looking at for you not too see that, Luciferin?"
Feeling my cheeks redden from something other than the freezing temperatures, I glance away and mumble a pout,
"nothin, thought I saw Amon doing the Can-Can-."
He scrunches his nose at my response.
"Sure, Luci. It'd more likely be Khamael that'd be doing that in the snow though."
Then he looked right at me for a minute and laughed a sound that had to of been an imitation of a wind chime. With a shining grin he pulled out a handkerchief and offered it to me.
"The boogie man is dangling from your nose dear Luci."
Crossing my eyes I look down upon my nose and find that this is true. A giant, green, booger is doing a jig unbeknownst of me from my own nose. Shealtiel gave another twinkly laugh and a smile that would make even the strongest magic user bow in awe.
Plap! A handkerchief was smacked into the middle of my face with Shealtiel's hand still attached, rubbing the dancing boogie into its cloth.
"Luci, you're being sillier than usual this morning." Shealtiel spoke while still smushing my nose in its place.
"Hmmbrh-" was all I could respond with.
With a soft look in his eyes, Shealtiel removed the handkerchief and put it into my pocket. I rolled my eyes fondly and took his hand in mine as we walked the rest of the way back home. Where a little part of me wished this walk could last forever.
